Favorite book of ours!

We were first introduced to this book 20 years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. It's written in rhyme so it flows nicely and is a fun read for parents and kids. The educational value is enormous. We lost track of our book over the years and then the first grandchild came along. We knew he also deserved the opportunity to memorize this book just as his grandparents and parents did before him! We repurchased them on Amazon. I LOVE this book along with the Fisher Price Book, "Listen and Look A Safety Book."

Much Needed Little Book for Parents
Helpful Votes: 12 out of 12 total.
Review Date: 2001-07-16
Almost every morning our family dresses and attends Church together, including our four children. We sit in the very back, so that the noise will not distract other parishioners and so that we can walk out if we need to. Some mornings are far worse than others, but by and large, the more often we attend Mass the better the children seem to do during Mass.

"Never apologize for bringing your children to Mass," writes author Kay Lynn Isca. Can there be any more uplifting message than this to a parent of a toddler?

Isca has assembled a fantastic little booklet for anyone who has ever struggled with a toddler during Mass. She offers advice on diaper changing, nursing in public, and appropriate Church toys. She also tackles the question of how to block siblings who get too rambunctios during Mass. (We sit one child between each adult and hold the baby.)

I found much reaffirmation of what we were already doing (i.e. not bringing food, bringing toys just results in arguments over the toys, bringing religious books, etc.).

Ignore the angry stares of those folks in the pew next to you and get this book. You'll find it most helpful in knowing how to handle your youngsters at Church.

Fabulous cookbook - complete meals for special occasions
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 1999-10-26
I have come to rely on this cookbook as my absolute favorite when a special occasion arises. The menu is set, with suggestions for alternatives, and a schedule as to how to accomplish the entire preparation with a minimal hassle. Ingredients a fairly sophisticated without involving an extensive list of hard-to-find exotica. Flavor combinations are superb, and instructions clear and concise. I have given this book to two daughters and a sister-in-law (an excellent cook in her own right), and now need two more copies for new daughters-in-law. Enough said!

Culture is more than just how the common man lives, there is also the culture of business. "China Business Culture: Strategies for Success" is a complete and comprehensive guide to the business culture of the Chinese. Describing the customs and traditions of the business men in this far eastern country, the book makes itself a must for understanding their complex rules and how it may be different from traditional western practices. "China Business Culture" is a must for any who seek to do business with the nation.
