You might think that paying over $2,000 for an address book is excessive, but let me tell you, it was worth every penny! The color, design, and paper are all top quality, and I'll admit, it was hard at first writing inside, but the way the paper takes the ink - WOW!

Purists might not want to write in it, but simply frame it. That would work too - I know from experience how good it looks in a gilt frame against a trompe l'oeil wall.

Highly recommended!

electronic versions are a much better deal, plus you save some trees.

As a college counselor in a highly regarded prep school, I use the Fiske Guide heavily. I greatly value the paragraphs of text description of the colleges; while I advise students and their families that they should, ideally, visit colleges and speak with current students and recent alumni, I find that the Fiske Guide descriptions are one more invaluable piece of information among all the resources students can use in making their decisions. I also have an interactive version of the 1996 guide, loaded onto my hard disk from a CD-ROM. I use this constantly, printing out information for one or two schools for my students. I would like to order a more recent version, if one exists, but I have been frustrated in my efforts to learn how to do this!

Also included are descriptions and performance histories of more than 600 futures and options products, and an overview of the futures and options business in more than 25 countries (including information on practice, regulation, and taxation).

Great book! Liked the maps and the easy state wide directory. A must for travelers.

This book is a great FM radio station guide. Contains technical info on power, tower height and also info on formats. Why is there no new edition?

This book is the best directory of physicans, hands down! I am a court reporter who needs to locate spellings of doctors on a regular basis. This is a must-have! It is very, very rare that I cannot find a doctor I am looking for in this book. Worth the price!

Peter Genovese, a feature writer for the "Star Ledger" in Newark, the state's largest newspaper, has released the second edition of this excellent guide. Genovese draws on years of experience traveling all over the state, sometimes in the "Star Ledger's" Munchmobile.

The book is divided into the four sections that everyone from New Jersey recognizes: North Jersey, Central Jersey, South Jersey, and the Jersey Shore. Genovese highlights delicious food attractions in each section. There are hundreds of entries, and a few examples have to suffice:

In North Jersey, the Iron Bound "is a paradise for food lovers. It is home to most of the state's best Spanish and Portuguese restaurants, and is also home to Brazilian, Central American and Italian restaurants. You could eat every day for a month here and barely scratch the surface of the foods available."

In Central Jersey, Mr. Tod's Pies in Somerset is a great bakery -- sweet potato, banana cream, Key lime and cherry pies are standouts.

In South Jersey, there's an annual cranberry festival and a fire station holds an annual muskrat dinner, continuing a century long tradition.

Along the Jersey Shore, seafood reigns supreme along the 127 miles of sandy beaches, but there are outstanding Italian sausage and pizza joints as well.

This is a very handy book to carry with you as you travel through the state. You may find you have an hour to spare and immediate access to the largest M&M factory, where a plant tour proved to be a great delight. And, there are hundreds of other possibilities, all described in a warm, even loving, fashion. Very well done indeed.
