Rankings are based on ironic grounds. For example, ratio of students and faculty and on statistical failure!

I thoroughly enjoyed this reading this book which reflects in words and pictures a chronology and history of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. I was impressed by the number of historic photo's that help to bring the entire work to life. I believe that anyone reading this book will gain an appreciation of the role the LA County Fire Department has played during the last century in minimizing the impact of many potentially devastating fires in the S. California area.

This book was unfortunately a disappointment. The pictures were pretty cool, but the writing was weak. I heard good stuff about the book, but I was really disappointed.

This CD was useless to me. All it is is a bunch of compiled manuals on different weapons and gear. I was looking for a snipers manual, which to me, means a manual that teaches you how to be a sniper or at least the fundamentals of sniping. Dont buy this, ill send it to you for free!

I got more than my money's worth, and that always is a great deal! This CD has everything I needed and much, much more!

This CD-ROM is very informative and a great resource. But it's a bunch of Adobe files on a burned disk and they're a little unorganized and tough to sort through. I had to download them all and organize them into folders I created in order to use them.

i thought that this book was excellent for its time,but its 11 years old and computers have been much updated since then,however its still worth a read

This is a good first for introducing Algeria to a child. The photos are good, and the amount of info provided is adequate, but not too detailed. It is difficult to find non-encyclopedia type books on this subject.

Why would anyone order this book? I read it at the college lib. and it is a master list of Poli Sci dept. heads for the years listed. This is interesting if you REALLY need to know who was the head of the poli sci dept for your college. Do not buy this.

Basics: 1981, softcover, 64 pages, 50 color photos, 3 illustrations, 46 species, no range maps

This booklet is a photo guide covering all the land and sea birds that are most likely to be encountered during a visit to these islands. Also photographed are all the endemic species, which are typically the main avian attractant. The photos are generally good, but are outdone by the superior book Beautiful Birds of Seychelles by Skerrett.

The author provides text on two primary topics. One, is a background on the various island groups that comprise the Seychelles. Two, are decent accounts of individual species, including the extinct birds. The book concludes with an avian mystery where the author outlines historical notes of a "Blue Hen" referred to by 18th-century sailors but of which there is no known physical evidence.

This booklet should be used only as a primer before going to the Seychelles. Any visit meant to focus on the birds must use one of the two excellent guides by either Skerrett or Sinclair.
