John's right! Toxicity in the workplace has to be nipped in the bud or else it can lead to health problems and violence.
Good article. Very entertaining. A must read for supervisors and employees alike.

This book is filled with nostalgia. Great reprints of the Sears catalog pages over the years. See Lionel, American Flyer,
Marx, Allstate...plus HO and N scale trains. You'll look at this again and again. Certainly brings back a lot of great memories.

"Training the Gunfighter" is a book thats easy to underestimate.I found a copy at a garage sale.Scanned it,then passed...It
looked outdated. Its photographs were badly lit. Giving the book an amateurish appearance.so I gave it a miss.It would have
cost me three bucks...Years later, I borrowed a friends copy,it was then that I realized what a mistake I made. Catching up
on it later cost me 50 bucks.Lesson learned. Dont judge a book by its lack of a cover.
Training the gunfighter Has 32 chapters of information that from a brief glance looks like the same old stuff thats in any of the "S.W.A.T/Combat Handguns"type magazines published today. Then you realize that this book almost pre-dates those magazines. That "Training the Gunfighter" was probably one of the few, if not the only, book with a tactical mindset available at the time.
Training the gunfighter offers its information from a practical point of view.It also provides this infomation free from the agenda of the commercial gun-gurus edicts. Mr.Mullin's insights come not from a personal preference based on folk lore. But from experience and the resulting perspective that the experience left him with. This information is presented not in the "once upon a time" context. But instead, supplied just as common knowledge.
Along with it's straight foreword delivery , Training the Gunfighter is one of those books that can enlighten just about any shooter.Mr.Mullin's book also gives a side to a lot of arguments that are not often heard."Training the Gunfighter" can give even the most jaded gun enthusiast a thing or two to ..."mull over".
I love books. Especially ones with guns in 'em !! Over the years I probably have collected enough of them to worry just about any psychologist. I love reading conclusions that turn out to be wrong, the counter statements,("what I really meant was...").The firearms that were proclaimed to be the "answer",just to have them collect a history of malfunction instead of manstopping. "Gunfighter" has been proven correct for 24 years now. A really great book that was ahead of its time when published. Today "Gunfighter"gives a historical look at tactics and tools that Police officers had to make do with.Tactics and tools that still have relevance today for general interest and in actual use.
But for the most part this book serves as an excellent example of where a lot of the tactics employed today got their start.

Infact i did not read this book but when i was studing on my school project i heard about a theory named "two-level morphology"
that developed by a finnish computer scientist. It is about a theory that helps you for explaining your natural language rules
by using artificial intelligence principles. If you want to work on NLP it is a good guide for you... (Sorry, i can not
use English very well.)

This is less of a Search and Rescue (SAR) handbook, and more of a Survival, Evasion, Escape (SERE) manual. Mainly for people
on the wrong end of a SAR mission. But, this book is one of the most comprehensive, instructive, and informative manuals
of its type. It exhaustively covers the basics of Survival, has a highly informative section on world geography, excellent
section on dealing with NBC hazards, and informative chapters on escape, evasion, and POW procedures. There is alot of content,
and all the information is well explained. Plus, the volume is very well illustrated. I own a stack of military and civilian
survival manuals; I'd have to say that this is one the most comprehensive and well written that I've come across. Highly
recommended.

I was researching the heroic story of the loss of the USS Aaron Ward (sunk off the Solomon Islands towards the end of WW2)
when I came across the printed version (i.e. the 8 volume set) of this item on one of the Amazon websites and promptly purchased
it. In many ways this is a more practical version because it allows you to browse, copy and transfer data but I still prefer
the book.
Set out in alphabetical order and written without fear or favour, the United States Department of Defence have provided one of the most important research tools of modern years and I congratulate them for an excellent job of work. The entry for each ship commences with a note about the origin of the name. For example, the USS Missouri is named after an American state - enough said. The Aaron Ward, however, was named after Admiral Aaron Ward and that particular section commences with a most reasonable biography of the man.
Each ship to bear a particular name is covered in varying degrees of detail - largely dependant on what historical information was available to the compilers. Famous ships and, naturally, more recent vessels, get excellent coverage although it must be said that if the information was available on those much older vessels, then their full story is told here.
Watch out for single volumes being sold separately - when you are either looking for a complete set or perhaps a different volume.
Altogether, an excellent addition to my own library of information.
