Conferences Books

Although PAKDD is not a well-reputed conference, it is not bad in the past. Some good papers can be found in the 1st and 2nd PAKDD. But I am very disapointed for the 3rd one. There are too many junk papers in it. Some paper just said some nonsense about a concept.

I want to choose a 0 star for it, but it is not available in AMAZON's rating list.

I received this today as a birthday gift. Obviously because of the outrageous price, the buyer must have thought this book was something of substance! Amazon should be ashamed to charge anything more than 3.99 for this Child Book. Sad!

Compared to the title, the article is very lame.

It is about 4 pages long, with a very simplistic view of 'phishing'. It does not even state the problem clearly. A clear waste of money.

I have to admit, I was taken by the title!

Comments: I personally would like to see the destruction of large teaching institutions. The damage that is done by the practice of forcing young emotionally underdeveloped children to congrate into unruly unnatural unprotected jungles is horrendous. Children should not congregate in large crowds until they are emotionally sound and mature or near so. Somewhere possibly near high school age.

**A childs basic need is for emotional and psychological protection.

The moment you strip that child, make them vulnerable, subtract that child from the proximity, safety and love of it's mother, force that child to fend for themselves at such an emotionally vulnerable age, the psychological and emotional damage is already begun. Forcing a young child (multiplied by millions) to face continuous fear or anxiety in a place where they feel they have absolutely no control, where they feel 100% vulnerable, unprotected is a crime against humanity. The psychological damage is staggering. A child raised on a shakey foundation is going to be a human being standing on a shakey foundation.

On several occasions I tried viewing this program but never succeeded. On each occasion, nothing happened and my computer crashed...

I am very disappointed because it sounded really interesting. I guess I'll never know!

Don't bother wasting your money on this article. It is less than a page and doesn't offer any insight!

Not even a complete conversation that has been edited. Three questions asked by HBR with shortish replies from Richard Saul Wurman.

Save your money.

This book is sorely lacking in content. Although the chapter titles are promising, most end up amounting to little more than a few paragraphs with little more than common sense advice. The whole book of 161 pgs could have been written in less than 50. The authors make generous use of title pages, empty note pages and pages with just a few sentences carried over. Some helpful advice, but not worth the $15.
