This book is a detailed history of Glorieta Conference Center. The decision to build the center in New Mexico (as opposed to other states) is discussed. There are numerous pictures of the camp in the early days, 1952 and 1953, when it began holding religious conferences. The history of the conference center is described through the mid-1980s.

Northern New Mexico is, in my opinion, one of the most gorgeous places in America. Seeing this area in the first half of October, when the aspen trees have turned golden, is an unforgettable experience.

Prof. K.B. Wolf also contributes a very interesting article in the forward on his experiences leading up and during the conference. The organisational hurdles which he encountered along the way provide an insight into how the world has changed in the last few years. Its almost worth buying just to read about Prof. Wolf's adventure.

I was surfing through amazon.com on a rainy day, looking for some light reading, when I stumbled across this massive book. 2.2 pounds no less!

The title drew me in. I was a big fan of Intelligent Information Processing II, by the same author, and so looked forward to the next in the series. I was not disappointed.

Mr. Shi has a breezy style that others might tend to dismiss as not up to the serious task of fully conveying the somber tone of the International Conference on Intelligent Information Processing. But I think he strikes just the right tone. I can't wait for Intelligent Information Processing IV.
