Actually pretty interesting stuff! Highly recommended.

Full of insight. It is as though the author has interviewed God. I have never known a better interpretation of God's love for mankind. This approach totally destroys the traditional concept of legalism. Christ, Himself, said that He is the Bridegroom and we are the "bride", a relationship based upon love, not legalism. Oh the joy of a heart made new by a loving relationship with Jesus. I no longer enjoy the sins I used to crave. I no longer wonder about forgiveness. My CHANGED LIFE is witness to accuracy of this authors' presentation of God's love for me. Emilio has had this experience and this book is his testimony. This two volume set is the published proceedings of the conference named in the book's title. Over 200 papers were presented in 18 different technical areas. The conference was multidisciplinary with many international participants; despite the title, you can find papers dealing with lunar science, space law, and other topics. The major technical areas of the papers, organized into sections of the book are:
1) Planetary surface structures on the Moon and Mars;
2) Space resources and in-situ materials utilization;
3) Space energy;
4) Space mining and excavation;
5) Space automation and robotics;
6) Life support systems;
7) Lunar-based astronomy, and;
8) Space Education

The importance of the book lies in its value as a "snapshot" of what a broad segment of the space community was thinking about in 1972. The book is excellent for providing us with an overview of important topics and challenges that must be considered for future space development. Indeed, virtually all of the topics continue to garner significant attention and work across the space community, e.g., within NASA, other government space agencies, academia and industry. It is excellent for providing context for practical discussion of space colonization. I frequently refer to it in my own work at NASA

This compendium of all the lectures at NACIE 94 will be a tremendous tool for evangelists in the future. I trust that, as you need quality information of the topics covered at NACIE, you will find this treasure chest of information a tremendous reference tool.

The goal in producing this compendium was to serve you with an excellent evangelism tool as well as allow you access to the vital documentation shared through the gifted leaders of evangelism in North America from various denominations and evangelistic teams who are noted for the effective practice of personal outreach.

Since we have never before had a conference of this nature across all the denominational lines in North America. The Essentials of Christian Living, from the official publisher of the Holy See in Rome, is a neatly packaged, pocket-sized handbook summarizing the core of what Catholics must know and put into practice. All entries throughout the book follow the same format: statement of the topic with space for making notes and a facing page with brief historical background, a reflection, a quotation, or a statement from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The first part contains traditional prayers, including the Mass, Rosary, and Stations of the Cross. The Angel of God entry in the prayer section is a good example of how the format works. On the page opposite the prayer we learn that (1) the Angel of God is "a brief synthesis of ancient prayers," (2) St. Thomas Aquinas taught that everyone is given an angel at birth, and (3) the Catechism of the Catholic Church qualifies belief in angels as "a truth of faith."

The prayer section is followed by formulas of Christian Doctrine. The majority of these are presented in numbered lists, as the four cardinal virtues and the four last things; and the seven capital sins, sacraments, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and spiritual and corporal works of mercy. In the final section of the book, the statements of the Creed, the sacraments, and the Ten Commandments are treated individually.

The simplicity and compactness of this book make it an ideal resource for individuals and groups, especially those involved religious education and evangelization.

The famous Waldorf school is based on the thinking of this ingenious man and these lectures provide the basis of the revolution in education that started with Steiner. A must read for anyone who wants to learn more about the origins of the Waldorf Education System.

This book has an excellent overview of the technical issues involved with locating abandoned land mines. Locating land mines is the big problem. Once they're located, removing them is relatively simple. This book is the proceedings of an engineering conference. Most of the book is quite technical, but it has some very good introductory articles which a non-engineer can understand. The first section gives perspectives of people who've worked directly on the problem. This section includes a detailed description of what's needed in terms of new technology, in order to identify and remove mines.

As a historian Leedy's book has proven to be an invaluable reference. It's a rare piece of Ohio history.
