Another great book by Ginie Polo Sayles- although nothing will ever outdo "How to Marry The Rich"- this book goes a little beyond that one and gives some wonderful tips , especially in the sexual dept.
Alot of it is the same type of stuff that is in her first book , though, just recycled. If you don't have the first book - (it's OOP) get THIS ONE!! It's great!!

If you're a Real Woman, READ IT !

I had a professional selling class last semester and we used this text. This book takes great care to explain the importance of partnering and adding-value in sales. People can buy 'stuff' anywhere, but you have to really differentiate yourself to get ahead in today's market. There are also on chapters on qualifying prospects, creating sales presentations, negotiating buyer concerns, ethics, and even time management. Briefly touches on Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs as well. Each chapter has in-depth case problems. Great for anyone thinking about a future in sales or management.

Excellent eBay Tutorial/How to Buy and Sell Antiques

Micki Suzanne has written a most informative book on how to make eBay work for you. She explains the eBay process from top to bottom with helpful hints on how to buy, sell and open an eBay store. I have been buying and selling on eBay for over seven years and have a feedback rating of over 4400 and I gained valuable information on procedures that I never knew existed.

I have also become interested in the buying and selling of antiques and, again, this book hit a home run. Micki's knowledge and practical applications can make you money. She knows the antique business inside and out. Micki's warmth and good humor are evident in her writing style. She is a giver, not a taker. I am glad I purchased this book.

"I've been sick from Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia for three years. I'm housebound for the most part and have many items I could sell and make some much needed cash. "Sick Mick's guide" is very easy to read and follow. She explains many of the processes by talking about her own experiences. You can tell she understands what it is like to live with limitations.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to make some money and not have to expend a lot of energy to do it. I found that some of her ideas were off-the-wall, some brand new, and some I already did. It is full of amusing anecdotes from finding an insect on her leg to coping with Lyme and Chronic Fatigue. I often found myself saying, "Me too!" It is most comforting to know I am not alone in this illness and this way of life." Susan Schwartz, Operating Room RN, Richmond, VA USA

Practical and often hilarious this guide is a have-to for small business owners and e-bay sellers. Told in a conversational tone, you are guided step by easy step through the process of selling your treasures.
Knocked back with lyme disease, Micki rallys and takes up the sword to help others in simular situations to have a successful business.
Very enjoyable and an easy read.

First, I browsed this book and was really amazed how simple these projects are and decided to buy it because I was interested in origami as a hobby and it may help me practice, and do some for gift giving during the holidays and special occassions.

After a few days, I read the book and really enjoyed doing the projects. It takes practice to perfect the illustrated projects shown in this book. I really recommend this book if you want to make something for friends, family for any occassion. This is very practical and fun.

Polacco is one of my favorite Children's authors. It is a bonus that she's from here in Michigan and so a lot of her stories make sense from a geographic & cultural perspective. She covers so many great topics in formats that are fun for both kids & adults. If you ever have a chance to hear her speak in person, GO! She's an amazing role model having overcome learning disabilities to become a famous author and illustrator.

This book is a great example of how neighborhoods can band together to help each other out and create a more caring and supportive community for all residents. Just a little leadership and a good listener, willing to step out on a limb, can make all the difference. If there were more Hensley's in the world, it would be a better place all around.

DAYTON SAYS: BUY THIS CD
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2002-08-25
Another review, by Glen Ridge, has pointed out how wonderful this CD is, and I certainly agree. How did I find out about this CD? I was driving in my car on my way to what would be for me the best movie of the summer (I probably am not allowed to give you the movie's name, but it is about Greeks and a wedding and you MUST...MUST go see it, and if you can't, then when it comes out in video, you MUST...MUST buy it here at Amazon)....anyway, I was driving along and was listening to my local NPR radio station. The CD was already well over 1/4 of the way through, but that did not take away from the spell-binding experience. I had a long drive to the movie theatre, and so I was able to hear the CD to the end. Though I was pushing my time limit to get to the show on time, I sat in my parked car listening to the last five minutes. But, it was well worth the mad dash to the theatre...besides when I got to the theatre there was a long line (by the time the movie started, it was sold out...again), so I was not late after all. The CD and the movie provided for an unplanned, magical Friday evening. I hope each of you reading this will have a similar experience in your lives. I am buying this CD for my little niece....perhaps I might give it to her ...it truly is a wonderful CD. And, it is with great pleasure that I give my rating....DAYTON SAYS: BUY THIS CD.

Delightful, absorbing, tranquil, among best for kids!

I was surprised and delighted today to happen upon a page on Amazon listing the Audie award winners, where I noticed that this recording had won for children's music. We happened several months ago to pick up a copy in a toy store, totally by accident, having read nothing about its release and seen no publicity. It's a beautifully narrated tale of a quest on which two children set out to search for a cure for their mother's illness. They are aided by music, which is baroque and surreally beautiful, introducing young listeners to this musical genre with the light and delicate melodies that transport them as easily off to sleep as to dream of evergreen forests and fairies and unicorns, timid and pure.

I bought the tape on the strength of my respect for Jeremy Irons and my daughter's love for unicorns. At the last minute I exchanged the CD for a tape because I wasn't ready to commit to the difference in price. BOY WAS I WRONG! For weeks I couldn't get my daughter to try it, then one night I put it on to help her sleep and it became her favorite tape for MONTHS! The music is beautiful and the story compelling, yet one ultimately falls asleep without a fight, it brings such a sweet tranquility to the listener.

There are melodies I would love to hear repeated, and the gist of the story is one of children's strength and courage and love for their mother, and for truth. Nonetheless, despite how much I adore this tape, my daughter continues to love it just as much as I do--Now there's some testimonial! We're ready to upgrade to a CD so we'll be able to be sure to keep it for a long, long time. I must admit, I could easily choose to listen to this without children anywhere in the vicinity, and plan to give a copy for Christmas to all of my favorite kids.

Beautiful story, excellent narration, terrific music!!

This may be my daughter's favorite storytape after years and years of listening to every new tape published. We had to buy the CD after wearing out the audiotape. Jeremy Irons' voice is both soothing and rich, the music is delightful and magical, and the story could fascinate any child between 5 and fifty (or more!!) My daughter particularly loves to listen to this musical tale with the lights out before going to sleep!

I highly recommend this moving tale with its delicate music and musical themes.

MUST Be Good...

I havn't read it yet, but it MUST be good, because my local library system had two copies, which are "lost." As a longtime patron and bookscout/seller, I know this really means STOLEN.

Since our library only charges a maximum of $6.00 for lost books, it's hardly a disincentive for thieves, unfortunetly for people like me. (When I wrote this, Amazon had no copies, and used copies are around $55.)

I will eventually buy a copy, and do a real review after that. Just thought I would add this tidbit.

This is a great book for those interested in antiquing, yard sales, flea markets, or just love the hunt for the perfect treasure. In Part I, the authors cover different types of collectibles: sporting goods, books, computers, clothes and more. In Part II, they discuss in depth, the business of owning a secondhand store as-well-as adding stories and tips from current secondhand store owners. I recommend this book for anyone who has even a slight interest in secondhand goods. If you want to sell treasures from home or rent/buy a secondhand store, this book covers it all. I found it easy to read and I picked up many useful tips for secondhand buying.

Customers say no to "me company, you customer" mentality
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2005-04-06
In my e-book "Jumping Out of the Box" I talk about opening relationships. That's exactly what this book focuses on. For example, the authors advocate taking a major role in helping B2B customers reach their business goals. Through rapid innovation many products quickly become commodities.

Partnership is a whole new game for businesses ingrained in the old push concept of trying to berate customers into submitting to buying whatever the company offers. To be honest, Wilson's book will certainly be most useful to B2B (Business to Business) companies. However, it's not too hard to see numerous applications for B2C (Business to Consumer) companies.

Take the authors advice on why you should Put Customers Before the Boss. The customer really is king and companies should be organized around them, not towards always pleasing the boss. Stop Selling, Start Partnering is divided into three parts:

Part I. Permanent White Water

Part II. Imagining the Future

Part III. Incredible Results, More Effective People - The Strategic Abilities of the Future

The bottom line to this book is this: Yes, sales are important. However, it's high-time that companies recognize that customers are in the driver's seat - now more than ever. Entrepreneurs everywhere are staring at incredible opportunities as customers no longer put up with the traditional "me company, you customer" mentality.

Solid Ethical Advice

Review Date: 2004-05-06
This book is about the reality of the marketplace of today. It discusses how to apply an ancient principle for marketing success. It describes how to reach your target audience through empathy. In short, Larry Wilson reminds us of the value of relationships. Don't let the title mislead you, this book is all about sales, about selling your ideas and yourself. Wilson buys the cliche, "Nothing happens in a business until someone sells something." He's an advocate of sales, but not "business as usual." People and their expectations are different now.

Culitivating relationships in business is a way of pursuing lifelong customers. His description of how human nature has changed due to the choices available now helps you to position yourself and your company to tap into these realities of the marketplace.

I found this to be a great book for anyone who needs to know anything about the relationship between drugs and the person using the drugs. I have also read Dr. Fisher's newest book Rethinking our War on Drugs (Candid Talk about controversial issues) I found that book even better then this book. I would say anyone should read both books. I had the chance to meet Dr. Fisher and I had him sign my copy of both this book and the War on Drugs.

This book clearly explains the relationship an addict has with their drug of choice, so that someone who may never have used/abused can understand the seemingly irrational behavior of the addict. But, the author does not stop there. Harrison goes on to explain various reasons why the addict's family may knowingly or unknowingly support the addict's habit, thus keeping the addict from recovery.

A Casebook that Actually Teaches
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-04-08
Law students now have free or inexpensive access to online services offering cases and supporting documents. Big 100+ dollar leather-bound casebooks might as well go extinct (though the old-timers would never allow it) unless they can add some actual teaching to their reprints of information that is easily available elsewhere. This particular book is one of the few dealing with the esoteric subject of telecommunications law and policy, and the price is almost worth it because the authors actually seem to care whether students learn the deeper nuances of the topic, rather than just expecting you analyze case after case after case with no in-depth education on legal reasoning or the latest trends in industry.

In this book the cases are actually fairly rare and are supplemented fully with government agency documents from which new rules and laws are formulated (crucial background info that is rare to nonexistent in standard casebooks) and law review articles by experts in the telecommunications field, giving the student a robust non-judicial understanding of the factors involved in recent court decisions and government regulatory strategies. The subject matter is also comprehensive and presented in an order that makes sense and efficiently uses the space available. The key to this book's success are the frequent notes and questions that appear after cases, helping the student actually think about the dry legalese they just got finished reading (though the rhetorical "what if?" questions do get out of hand at times). Overall, this is a law school casebook that actually synthesizes the information presented in a way that helps the student, and not just a publisher whose idea of education is to charge monstrous prices for a never-ending list of reprinted cases. This book introduces basic concepts about how the government regulates broadcast television, radio, cable, telephone, and Internet service. It includes easy-to-read discussions and also excerpts of important documents and cases.

The book was written for use in law school classes, but it would be valuable to practicing attorneys as well as to managers at major telecommunications firms, especially those working to understand the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Benjamin, Lichtman, and Shelanski have written an excellent book on U.S. telecommunications law. The book provides a glimpse at the early history of U.S. radio telecommunications and brings the reader up to fairly recent developments. Explanations of the spectrum, arguments of why broadcast media have been regulated (children's tv, indecency, Fairness Doctrine, for example), selected court cases and FCC actions are provided. "Notes and questions" are provided at the end of segments within each chapter and help the reader anticipate issues addressed subsequently. The book is well written and the authors have an enjoyable sense of humor. While the book does give attention to the Internet, readers might want to supplement the book's coverage by reading Sharon Black's "Telecommunications Law in the Internet Age" published in 2002 by Morgan Kaufmann Publishers.
