This book is about a ghost. In every story there is a different ghost. Every kid that has lived there has agreed that it's haunted. I liked it because I like ghost stories.

This is a very comprehensive book on acupressure. The diagrams and descriptions are easy to understand and follow, which makes it a very practical book for self-healing. This book is a life-saver for me as it has certainly helped me healed a lot of my chronic ailments over the years. It has also thought me a lot about the significance of acupressure points in the body, how it works, the healing benefits, etc. This book is easy to use as a reference on a daily basis any time you need it, and especially when you experience pain, you can treat yourself and relieve the pain on the spot. The Healing Benefits of Acupressure is definitely a worth while investment and a must have for those who use self-healing methods/alternative treatments like myself...it is like acupuncture without the needles and added cost. Too bad it is out of print and I sure hope more of such books will be available in the near future.

MacDonald presents the story of the Barclay and Gordon families in such a manner as to readily and plainly contrast the path of those who follow the ways of the world with the pilgrimage of God's beloved children.

Kirsty Barclay, daughter of David and Marion Barclay, is, in the eyes of the world, an uneducated, ill-bred peasant, while her older brother, Steenie, is judged as "not quite right," or "not all here." But the world is a poor judge, indeed, when it comes to the things of God. For in Kirsty is to be found far more of value and worth than the entire Gordon family-the local 'Laird' and his mother-who reside midst the faded splendor of Castle Weelset.

This is, first and foremost, a tender and heartwarming love story through which is woven various subplots, all of which eventually arrive at the same point-the love of God. Kirsty, although uneducated and, no doubt, unacceptable to the aristocracy, loves God, loves nature, loves her simple parents, and dearly loves her brother, Steenie, for in these people and these things she sees God through His children and His creation. For his part, Steenie does not begin to understand, and acknowledges as much, the theology of the institutionalized church. Yet Steenie also loves God, for he spends his days and nights searching the hills and dales as well as the heavens for He whom Steenie knows as the "Bonny Man."

Heather and Snow is not a love story in the fleshly sense, and is not without its pathos, its sadness, its sorrows, and its disappointments. Although Francis Gordon proclaims his love for Kirsty, it is not until he begins to know God that he can truly know love, for true love is born of God and must be lived through Him.

I invite you to join Kirsty and walk amidst the hills of Scottish heather as she strives to learn the lesson's taught in God's classroom. Nature is an unparalleled teacher if one will but, in solitude, be attentive to her sights, sounds, and silences.

Sit aside Steenie, whose heart is so filled with love that it may burst, as he, in quiet isolation and softly embraced by the deepening night, gazes enraptured into the heavens from which he expects, at any moment, to see the "Bonny Man" return to claim His own. Steenie is enthralled by the very prospect of encountering the Son of God, and spends very waking moment in this sacred quest; while, in slumber, his dreams transport him to the place where he will no longer be considered "abnormal."

Struggle with Francis Gordon as he strives to learn that most valuable of lessons-that to know God is to love God is to obey God. Both of these reasonably priced packages (level I and level II) contain 2 x 90 minute cassettes and a 50 page booklet of the words used (Hebrew, Enlish and a phonetic translation). Unfortunately they are only available in Hebrew/English.

As there is no attempt to teach any grammar you will need to use them in conjuction with a book, or this course. Audio programs can be hard going for absolute beginners - 750 or so words on one cassette can be overwhelming.

Each cassette consists of 4 x 30 minutes sections - Hebrew then English, English then Hebrew. This means that you practice both understanding spoken Hebrew and formulating the right word to say in Hebrew. Audio courses are an important way of learning the language because of this reason, and are handy because you can put them on in your car/walkman on the way to work/school, or doing household chores etc.

The contents are mostly individual words, and some common expressions - around 1500 in each package. They are superior to any other audio courses I have heard, there is no music fading in and out or silly introductions to be listened to 500 times.

Easy to understand and easy to use. Useful for beginner or someone out of the craft for some time who has little time and wants to get back to it. Gives you everything you need to get started with the right focus for what you want to achieve. I would highly recommend this book.

Tony Brown has painstakingly put together what appears to be a quite accurate almost day by day diary of Jimi's brief career. He lists the dates Jimi went into the studio, the various concerts he played and other activities Jimi did such as specific days of when he was interviewed or on TV. It is in calendar form so it goes from beginning to end, obviously mainly from 1966 to 1970. This is a great way to read about Jimi's life. It has less opinion and more statement of fact, as best as Mr. Brown could reconstruct from his research. There's always some controversy here and there when books about Jimi are published but this book seems to provide a very sensible presentation of Jimi's life as it actually appears to have happened. As a big Jimi I was delighted to find this book and delve into it. Based on going over a few other Jimi books this one appears to be right in step with others, that is, it does appear to be a quite realistic reporting of how Jimi's life went, pretty much day to day in his famous years. In this version of Classical Comic's HENRY V, adapted by John McDonald, you're dealing with the Original Text. By that I mean that you get the entire play, just as William Shakespeare wrote it. Classical Comics has also published two other versions: Plain Text, which takes the original script and converts it into modern English, and Quick Text, which reduces the dialogue into as few words as possible (as many graphic novels do).

Thanks to the wonderful artwork of many talented illustrators (Neill Cameron for pencils, Bambos for Inks, Jason Cardy & Kat Nicholson for Coloring, and Nigel Dobbyn for Lettering), the result is a colorful, heavy-duty, true-to-the-script version of one of Shakespeare's most recognized plays.

This is the perfect book to introduce reluctant teen readers to Shakespeare. Whether they read it for fun or for a class, they're getting the original play, act by act, and they get it in a convenient, reader-friendly way. In this day of graphic novels, it's important to remember the classics, and HENRY V doesn't disappoint.

The additional information at the end of the story, including a short biography of William Shakespeare and one of Henry V, a detailed description of the Battle of Agincourt, and even a guide to the creation of the graphic novel's pages, only add to the value.

If you're looking for a well-made and instructional graphic novel based on HENRY V, look no further than this edition.

I was so pleased to see this story was republished! My daughter really enjoys this book - not only is it funny, but it also gives children a sense of keeping track of time. We love all of the Henry the Duck books as he is always finding himself in goofy predicaments that make for hilarious books!

I learned to cook in the 70's, using this cookbook. It was lost in one of our family moves, and I just ordered it from Amazon and have it back again! The short paragraph about each herb or spice, with the picture, was a way to fix that herb or spice in my mind as I learned to experiment. The zucchini, fresh tomato, and cheese casserole has been a family favorite for years. Ditto the poppyseed cake and tandoori chicken, though without the cookbook, I have been unable to make either from memory, as I could the zucchini. This is a great little cookbook by a great chef.
