Clip Art Books

I originally bought this book while researching designs for a
Mayan tattoo. I bought this book in Taos NM, of all places, and that
was in 1988! It has remained one of my most prized posessions. I
will forget about it but I always panic when I can't remember where it is. Many of the designs in the book include glyphs,murals,carvings and a few have been redrawn from illustrations in scholarly journals. It is well worth the price!
If you enjoy beautiful Mayan art you must buy this book.

A very good book containing Clip Art for Libraries. This book also contains good activities to help Media Specialists teach kids library information. Some of the things are outdated however, such as shelf marking - I have never been in a library utilizing that system. The clip art is good for notes and signs and also bulletin boards pertaining to Education and Libraries / Media Centers.

This publication has high quality medieval designs and all the images are beautiful. Dover comes through as always!

Great resource for Rus' Illuminations. Good printing. The notations of where the pieces of illuminations are from are incredibly helpful. For begining illuminators, realize that the book only gives portions of illuminations and not the whole manuscript. Also, the color scheme seems to be a little off when comparing these pictures to the original manuscripts. There are a couple of places where there is a use of one-tone color instead of a two-toned color and the metallics don't come through very well.

As a student teacher, I've been looking all over for resources to use in my future classrooms, and yesterday my friend and I came upon this excellent collection of illustrations. This is a wonderful selection of musical clip-art, ranging from serious pieces (such as composer profiles) to the very comical (such as the cat piano..erm, you'd have to see that one to do it justice!:-)).

I would recommend this book to any music educator who would like to spice up programs, announcements, and assignments!

Nature Stencil Designs book and cd are great. Many great stencils to choose from and all are very nicely designed.

The second best book on Chinese Lattice Designs, the first also by Daniel Sheets Dye (Chinese Lattice Designs). This is a very worthwhile addition to the first book and contains a wonderful selection of illustrations. It is not a repeat of the first book, and the larger format provides for larger illustrations. If you are into flat pattern design this just brilliant.

This book is good if you want Santa Claus images, images of children and toys, Christmas trees and some miscellaneous wreath and ivy.

This book is lacking if you want images of reindeer, the 12 days of Christmas, snowmen or any religious Christmas imagery. None of these things, by and large, are in this book.

In any case the images provided are numerous and clear. They scan well and the CD=ROM is easy to use. I just wish there was a little more of non-Santa imagery.

this is a lovely book of romantic, copywright free clip art. quite a nice collection of victorian type art. ajc

Very nice book, all great old victorian pictures... really good buy, for all artist and lovers of Victorian images.
