This book is split into two portions. The first half describes sales once you've identified the desires of the person you are attempting to sell to. The second half describes a categorization of people. The first half in very insightful, and offered me a new look on how to approach people. The second half is very poor. As with any categorization of personalities, there is no category that any one person will fit in. As such, it is unclear how the categorizations help. Even so, the first half of this book is good enough to merit five stars. I highly recommend it.

The Diamond Touch is an excellent book for anyone to read. I purchased the book after listening to Dr. Booth speak. I enjoyed reading the book and learned a ton of things that helped me be a better dad, husband, businessperson, friend, and leader. I would HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone you know who needs to learn how to relate to people better. Young people entering the business world could learn a lot from this book.

My kids love this book! It's a well-written story about how a little girl and her family deal with the aftermath of Katrina. The illustrations are beautiful and I still tear up a little bit every time I read it! It is a sweet story that offers hope and encouragement and encourages children to reach out to those in need.

One of the better books for children dealing with the chaos and trauma of hurricanes. Gorgeous full color illustrations on every page illustrate the story of little Erin and what she has to deal with during and after Hurricane Katrina. This book is well made with thick pages and will stand up to many years of reading. I recommend this book for all the families who actually went through Hurricane Katrina as it will spark many a discussion. Also, kids in hurricane-prone states would benefit from what they can learn from this story. To promote empathy with hurricane victims this book would be a good gift for any child.

(5 stars for the production, 4 stars for the mystery.) This Enhanced Audiotrack by Acorn Audio combines the soundtrack of the original TV drama with additional narration, sound effects, and outstanding original music to create a listening experience in which the story comes vividly to life. John Thaw, as Inspector Morse, must investigate the robbery of erotic paintings from the home of Sir Julius Hanbury, a former diplomat, now a candidate for Master of the Oxford college where he has been a don. When Hanbury turns up dead the following day, either a suicide or a murder, Inspector Morse has no dearth of suspects or possible motives.
John Thaw has just the right balance of restrained cynicism and intellectual curiosity as he and his assistant conclude, early on, that Hanbury was murdered and that life at Hanbury House is far more complicated than previously thought. The widow, her young daughter Georgina, the French au pair and her English boyfriend, the handyman, and a long-time female servant, all brought to life by excellent actors (who are, unfortunately, unnamed in the notes to this production), turn this seemingly simple investigation into a study of human nature and personality. Inspector Morse, himself, becomes less dour when he is attracted to Grayling Russell, the young female pathologist on the case. As Sir Julius's private life unfolds and another murder occurs, Inspector Morse must decide how, if at all, the theft of the paintings is connected to Hanbury's death.
The production values of this audiotape are outstanding, and the action is easy to follow and imagine. The narration, which provides transitions between scenes (which would have been unnecessary in the TV production), is unobtrusive and keeps the action moving quickly. The sound effects are realistic and add to the excitement of the drama, and Sgt. Lewis, Morse's assistant, provides a fine and often humorous foil to the by-the-book inspector. A delightful audiotape, highly recommended. n Mary Whipple

Whether you want to find out what a certain church or Diocese uses, the history and use, or how to design your own heraldry, this book has it all. Mr. De Kay has filled this book with an extensive collection of coat of arms and seals used within the Episcopal church. The book starts with Emporer Constantine I, and quickly goes through the major styles of Roman Catholic and Anglican heraldry to the Episcopal Church. Each emblem is clearly shown, along with a detailed explanation of the design, use and history of each piece. As an added touch, the seals and logos of ecumenical religious groups are also included at the end.
The book is captivating and makes you want to pick it up again and again. If you or a friend is any combination of Episcopalian, historian, theologian, artist or geneologist you'll want this book as it will make a wonderful gift!

If you read this book from the 1970's you will understand how Tiger Woods, David Duval, Davis Love, Phil Mickelson and others swing with such power and control. In the introduction Dean Beman calls Carl Lohren's book, the cornerstone to golf instruction for the foreseeable future. Well 30 years later it is still the best written, most accurate and univerally applicable writing on the gof swing and how to create a sound, repeatable and dependable move.
This book should be re-released. It has so much value to golfers of all skill levels.

My 18 month old twins adore this story and bring it to me to read to them regularly. I think the fact that it is about a familiar subject, naps, and how the rabbit has a hard time finding a quiet place to take a nap relates to them. The words are simple and rhyme and the flaps enhance the reading experience. We have many of this author's books and this is a favorite.

Think there are "exceptions" when abortion is okay?

This is THE book for those who believe abortion is the best option for a woman who is pregnant due to a rape or incest. These are the stories of the actually women and what they really want - not what abortion advocates proclaim they need. If you have any doubts, this book will clear them up for you. Proof that, once again, abortion is not the better choice, even in such difficult circumstances.

Kudos to the authors for exploring the topic of what happens to the "exceptions" (children born of rape). Rather than just giving statistics (you will note how usually, the pro-life or pro-choice movements merely make reference to us, as it furthers their own cause), the book gives real-life scenarios. Although the message is clearly that the children of these circumstances deserve life, it's nice to hear from some real people, rather than shadowy statistics. We do exist, and it's time people realize this!

"Yankee Tigers: Through the Civil War with the 125th Ohio" by Ralsa Rice is a spirited and highly entertaining first person account by one of Opdycke's Tigers. Editors Baumgartner and Strayer extensively cross-reference Rice's account with Charles T. Clarks' regimental of the 125th Ohio, as well as the Official Records, pension records, and other pertinent source material.
The real treasures of this book are the numerous cartes de visite from Ralsa Rice's own album, discovered by one of the editors in an Ohio flea market in the 1980s. Of the 67 photos in the book, 18 are from Rice's collection, augmented with another set collected by Captain Edward P. Bates, one of the last commanders of the 125th. These photos allow the reader to put a face with the names of many of the men mentioned in the narrative, an give an added poignancy to the often impersonal statistics of killed, wounded, and missing.
Rice writes with a keen wit, and a soldier's eye for the humorous and ridiculous in the alternatingly frustrating, boring, and terrifying life of the Civil War infantry soldier. He also offers welcome glimpses of the often-overlooked second and third tier commanders in the Western theater.
This is a fine first-person account, and highly recommended.
