CERTIFICATION REVIEW BOOK, DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER BOOKS OUT THERE. FILLED WITH POINTERS, AND DETAILS TO KNOW FOR THE EXAM. ALSO GREAT PNEUMONICS TO HELP WITH TEDIOUS DETAILS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO REMEMBER. A MUST BUY IF TAKING THE CERTIFICATION EXAM.

I think this is a great book for learning the advanced Office2000 features. I will be using this book in my classes for the Fall2000.

I've been an Alpha developer for the NetBSD Operating System Project for several years now, and simply can't say enough about this book. It, like most documentation from Digital (now Compaq), is very thorough and well organized. It is a must for anyone doing systems programming on the Alpha, and quite valuable for people doing application optimization, as well.

It discusses the OpenVMS, Digital UNIX, and Windows NT PALcode operations in detail, has a full instruction set reference, discussions on performance optimizations, and also describes other architectural details, such as the console software interface.

If you're not an Alpha developer, get it anyway! The design decisions are discussed in detail, and it's a great way to learn about modern, high performance architecture design.

Cole and Steen have done an excellent job in covering not just the basics, but some in-depth review of How, What and Why.

This text is designed for the network designer and support staff that desire a better understanding of not only what protocols do, but how they can be tweaked to result in better performance. This is also a core text for the MCSE 70-221.

Nice coverage on DHCP, DNS, WINS, RRAS and VPN. I've used this text for reference in my college networking classes and it is a great supplement for the cirruculum texts. This explains, in depth, what our Thompson Course Technology lightly covers.

I used 'Als Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure' for my test and scored high. It was a tough test but this guide does a great job of telling you what you need to know. Most importantly it covers the topics in a VERY clear and concise manner. The labs are also very well done and helpful. The separate lab/text is a great format I hope to see for all future exam books.

The book will also make a great reference after the test and is also a great book for anyone wanting to know more about AD in general. Overall one of the best Microsoft Press titles I have seen.

Really good book. I read it twice and pass the exam with 81% even though I never have seen an IBM AS/400!! I am not a novice in PC , I have MCSE, CNA and A+ certifications, but I really never worked with IBM AS/400. This book is good study guide, writen in good language , in plain English ( as by me)and cover the exam material on 90%.

This is the best study guide out their for iSeries Command Operations certification. I have got this guide and in a couple of days I sat for the iSeries certification exam, I passed with a score of 88%. You should note that this guide was my only resource on the iSeries but I also had a little background of the iSeries system from my work experience. My colleague also used it and he has passed the test with a score of 83%.

I do recommend this Study Guide if you are interested in sitting for the iSeries Command Operations certification exam and if you are already have a background of the iSeries system. If you are only interested in general understanding of the iSeries system then maybe you will find better guides out there to help you in understanding the iSeries as this book is geared into preparing you for the iSeries certification exam.

The book that I ordered is for advancement in my chosen career field. It is exactly what I need to complete the last test in my certification process.

This book was used independently to help students in a training center website.

Although the presentation is not exactly the same as in the exam, the material covered is what is needed to pass the exam.

Serious AutoCAD professionals should use this book (in conjunction with thewebsites) to take the Certification exam.

This is an excellent book for those who want to learn about basic principles of metrology and calibration.The book also gives a nice introduction to ISO 9001 requirements for calibration of test and measuring instruments. It describes in simple terms how to calibrate instruments belonging to a number of measurement fields. Calibration of temperature sensors,pressure gauges, force measuring machines,load cells, multimeters are well described.The book is well illustrated and a comprehensive list of references is given at the end of each chapter.
