This book is great for people who want to use Excel to analyze data using the statistical package and functions that Excel has to offer. The book reviews how to manuever in Excel and starts from the basics of statistics and proceeds to more advanced statistics such as hypothesis testing and regression. The book has great examples, and plenty of pictures and visual aides so that the reader does not have to guess as to what to do. The book does come with software so one can practice and have hands on experience.

The authors explain statistics in a plain and simple way and do not try to lose the reader with long and complex words. They are straight and to the point keeping it simple so that the reader and student learns and can go through the book and the course with more ease. If you want to use do statistics with Excel, this book is a great start.

I actually used the basic book for the Atari. Dr. Wacko has an easy style and approach to learning to program. He even includes already written programs to play around with and incourages the user to add in his\her input. This book was my favorite of around 100 books. Unfortunately, I lost the book through theft.

This book has been a great source for teaching myself how to use Office 97. I was a proficient user before, but this book shows all the little tweeks that make all the difference. Beginning users should also consider this book, as it starts from the very beginning- covering the start key and how to use programs. All you need to know is how to computer on. If you don't- ask someone and then purchase this book. It will take you the rest of the way! The program is easy to follow and includes projects to practice newly learnt skills. This is not a "computer guru" book...it reads English. Well worth the $$.

This book is basically for the novice. It was invaluable with clear pictures and step by step instructions to accomplish basic tasks such as how to open a folder, to select, scroll, or view a window, to duplicate a document, to change the date or time, etc. This was written for earlier models, but this helped us, as rank beginners, to use our new G3 MacIntosh. We recommend it for anyone who has little experience using a computer. I hope it will be updated and reprinted.

This is a great entry level book, I recommend it to everyone I know who is just starting with Excel. We still use the 2003 version where I work and it makes for a handy reference guide. The numerous color illustraions are really great for getting the point across.

Very Useful Book.. It explains everything with graphics which make it very easy fast and practical to use...

I recommend the Easy series in all of my adult computer classes. Easy from Que and Plain & Simple from Microsoft Press are easy to follow and non-intimidating for new users.

Guidelines for most types of computer operations are easy to find and follow. However, nowhere do I find instructions on how to specify size of text when printing email messages and certain other documents.
