It really is a must have for anyone doing any sort of graphic design. It's a compendium of companies that offer services not easily found. What's great is that it is written in a real common sense style. For example, if you go to the "decal printers" section, it has a little blurb about "if you are looking for holographic decals then go to page 180 and look under the holography section".

I am disabled and the cashier at the computer store where I shop suggested this book to me because we talk alot while I am there and he helps me find things I might be interested in and one day he had this under his counter waiting for me because he new I liked American History and this book has alot of it in it..I am always looking up some web site about something. I have recommended this book to several of my friends

If half of knowing anything is knowing where to find it, here is half of knowing just about everything there is to know about starting and running a small business.

The good point about lists such as these is that they cover just about everything there is to know about the general business situation. In turn, they don't cover much about those specialty areas that may be critical to your particular business. But you should have your own knowledge in these areas.

If you go look carefully, you will find areas with which you disagree. For instance in computers, it talks about spending $1,000 to $1,500 for a reasonably top of the line model. I'm writing this on a machine I purchased for $55 from a pawn shop. But, I've been in computers for about 45 years. If it breaks I can fix it (the video card went bad, I got another one on e-Bay for $5.40).

Their comments on income taxes are very good, there are points brought out that you just wouldn't know yourself. But again, I'd say go buy one of the income tax software packages. They only cost about $20, and that's another deduction. It will save you and the tax advisor time and just might bring up something that both of you might forget.

It's areas that you don't know about that will be of the biggest help: hiring and firing, sales and marketing, inernational operations, accepting credit cards (and credit in general), patents and copyrights, product distribution. There's a wealth of things here that no one person could know.

This is a great book for those of you who enjoy golfing in out-of-the-way courses. We used this book for a recent vacation and had a wonderful time. The book had accurate descriptions of courses. Enjoy!!

Jim Cox is the dean of American radio historians, and this is one of his strongest books. It provides a wealth of information, in a highly readable style, about classic radio comedies such as "Our Miss Brooks," "Ozzie and Harriet," "Blondie," and many more. Included are some quasi-sitcoms like "The Jack Benny Program" as well. Whether you're looking for a trip down memory lane, or an opportunity to learn more about some of the most popular shows of their era, Cox's book comes highly recommended.

This book is a great resource if you find yourself traveling thru Wisconsin. It lists taverns by city that are worth stopping at.

This is a great set of maps (Map Book) of Las Vegas and the surrounding areas, its easy to use and very up to date, it has all the new communities and is great for looking for new homes as well as any location.

I am so relieved to have found this book. My son is almost five and I didn't even know where to begin to get him enrolled, much less how to find the best school for him. The school profiles have much better information than I've found anywhere else, and the articles about the school system answered a lot of my questions.
