This new 15th edition is a comprehensive survey of 2500 schools, facilities and organizations across the US serving children and young adults with developmental, emotional, physical and medical disabilities. With indexex cross-referencing a range of disabilities, this work is an invaluable aid to parents and professionals seeking the optimal environment for special-needs children.

Most of the book, pages 113-1015, consist of listings of the schools. The listings contain the name, a very brief description of the programs, location, contact information, and a paragraph describing the overall mission of the school. This section is broken down by state.

At the beginning of the book is a listing of the program emphasis at all of the schools (about 70 pages). The emphasis is broken down into ten general categories, and an indication is made to indicate a Primary or Secondary emphasis. This allows the quick identification of schools by specialty that can then be investigated more completely in the following section. Finally there is a small section of advertising placed by some of the schools.

This is easily the most complete book of it's type available.

The publisher took the epic task of accumulating very hard to find data and presented it in a clear and concise referrence book. I'm sure many people who are not aware of this title must spend weeks or even months gathering the information this book provides! A must-have for any business person with global intentions.

Directory Of American Presidents is a "user friendly" resource listing basic data about the wives, children, parents, birth and death dates, party, term, education, religion, and notable events of the 43 American Presidents ranging from George Washington to George Walker Bush. An excellent quick-lookup book, brief, simple, and very easy-to-use, the Directory Of American Presidents is a welcome and recommended addition to community and school library American History and Political Science collections.

This book is so woefully out of date that you do not want to be carrying it. It was also published by a questionable source. The National Businesss Incubation Association keeps official track of the incubators in the United States. The list of existing incubators today is vastly changed from 1988. I would suggest that you remove the book from your list.

Rather than subscribe to hundreds of publications in search of a specific buyer for your valuable antiques or collectibles, spend $14.95 and consult the DIRECTORY OF BUYERS by Fran Hulme. Proclaimed a "Must for all collectors and dealers" by the experts in the field the book is one of the most important resources available. I use it on a daily basis.

I have been using this directory for about 5 years, though at first I was using earlier editions. I'm on my 3rd copy I think.

Shop owners list what items they are looking for, so it's easy to identify places looking for your type of craft! In the back there are suggestions for how to write to the potential buyers, what to send, etc.

I used this several years ago and started selling my jewelry wholesale to a couple of stores. It was so exciting. I also consigned some of my items in Galleries. The directory is sorted by state, though all the vendors I ended up selling to were in other states.

If you are looking for places to sell your art or crafts, you MUST get a copy of this directory! You'll wish you had it years ago!

A Review of Professor Randal Abate's Directory of Environmental Law Education Opportunities at American Law Schools. An ambitious and successful effort!

Law schools are atypical graduate schools. They neither require a thesis or an application to a particular program or professor, which is unavoidable in the social science, humanities or the hard science. Because they offer only a generalist program for the Juris Doctor or LL.B. degree a student who seeks to study a specific area of law - post the first year of mandatory courses - is left with few options. That is, until most recently.

Students who are interested in the field of environmental law now have a resource that provides a wealth of information about every American law school's environmental program. The information compiled by Professor Randy Abate of Florida Coastal Law School, who will be visiting the Florida State Law School for the 2008-2009 academic year, is both comprehensive and wide-ranging. The book, entitled the Directory of Environmental Law Education Opportunities at American Law Schools, is in its second edition and has a new publisher Carolina Academic Press of Durham, N.C. (the first edition was published in 1997 by the Graduate Group).

The book is soft cover and has a slick white and green design. Substantively, Professor Abate has included a section of new features for his new edition and a section denominated "How to Use This Book". In addition, the book is divided into two parts, Parts I and II. The first is a topical listing of the various environmental law programs opportunities offered at American Law Schools. This component provides lists of Environmental Law curricular programs, which includes degree programs in environmental and natural resources law, Joint programs and environmental law certificate programs or concentrations.

Part I also lists environmental law centers and clinical programs. Moreover, in this section - part II.B - Professor Abate also lists environmental justice clinics as well as other environmental law-related centers and clinics. Part II.C. provides an alphabetical listing of environmentally related law reviews and journals. Finally Par I.D. lists environmental law moot courts and negotiation competitions, which include such diverse subjects as the Animal Law Moot Court competition, the International Environmental Law Moot Court competition, the National Environmental Law Moot Court competition, and the Robert R. Merhige, Jr. National Environmental Law Negotiations competition.

In turn, Professor Abate uses Part II in order to list school-by-school opportunities. This listing is compiled alphabetically by state, beginning with the law schools that offer environmental courses in Alabama (three law school: University of Alabama, Faulkner University and Samford University) through Wyoming (one law school, the University of Wyoming).

All in all this book is an ambitious effort by Professor Abate that certainly fills a gap and will be of assistance to anyone who is considering attending law school and majoring/ or concentrating in environmental law.

This is an excellent reference book. It is complete with the types of agencies, kind of positions they fill, and the proper contacts. It provides not only the address and telephone numbers but fax and email addresses, as well a contact name in many cases. It also lists all locations if the agency has several offices. I found this to be extremely helpful in my executive job search and found that 80% of the time I received some type of response after I submitted my resume. Ultimately it successfully helped me find the position for which I was searching. Everyone should refer to this book first when seeking a new position it is well worth the investment. Additionally, you can write it off on your taxes as part as your job search expenses.
