This book is a must for "New Guys" to be on your shelf, and give you a quick reference. It is jamb packed with information! It is non-technical, practical and written by a technical guy. There are many things I have learned in "fixing things" and I come up with novel ways of doing it, but this guy is good! If you work with both hand tools and power tools, as I do, you may neglect a tool and find it rusty. Inside this book is alchemey magic for the small shop. Reversing the rusting process! Each page has something for us. It also tells me why, and if I want more, the facts behind it. Only one draw back, but it probably kept the cost of this book affordable. I'd like it to be on better paper, and have a few more pictures of what the project or technique looks like, so I can have a visual reference point.

This book is an excellent guide for managing MPLS-based networks and definitely very useful for network operators. I must say much has been written about the MPLS architecture, but this is the first book that is dedicated to MPLS network management issues.

I found the "Interview with the Expert" sections quite informative.

Overall well done!

The book addresses how to use multimedia in higher education based on how to make teaching and learning more effective and efficient. In each chapter, the authors describe goals, general information, raise questions, summarize guidelines and provide examples, resources.
The questions are very thought-provoking, the guidelines are quite practical. The information and resources are very informative. And there are numerous insights about education, techonology, learning and teaching theories that the authors shared with readers.
A great book worth to buy.

Illustrated handbook to pre-industrial American hand tools and how they were used. Emphasis on implements used on the frontier for clearing, woodworking and farming. Period of interest is colonial to civil war. Takes you from basic tools for working timber to the tools of more specialized trades,carpentry tools, coopers tools, and implements for farm jobs. Quit a few sections identifying specialized tools and their use.

If you know nothing about pre-industrial tools and were interested in knowing something about them for historical purposes or for basic identification.

Young readers checked this book out from the library so many times that it fell apart. Over a period of several years, young readers selected this book more than 70 times.

Job- or internship-seeking MBA students should first, of course, take advantage of the many resources available from their business school's career center, and also any alumni career services offered by their undergraduate school. An outstanding book to augment these services, however, is Nail the Job.

Written in a hip style that should appeal to Gen X MBA students, the book is a collection of articles from MBA Jungle and JD Jungle magazines. It doesn't read like a collection, however, but as a complete, step-by-step introduction to today's MBA student job search.

I have only one criticism. Chapter 7 on "headhunters" is confusing. Though it's clearly describing contingency search firms, it doesn't clarify this point - or identify and describe the distinction between retained search and contingency search. In a sense, this is a minor criticism given the book's primary audience - search firms, retained or contingency, are rarely of help to MBA students, particularly those attending full-time. Why should an organization looking to hire new MBAs pay a search fee of any type when it probably already has an internal group to recruit MBA students?

Current MBA students reading this review - please don't let the last paragraph pointing out one area of weakness stop you from picking up and going through this book, and implementing its suggestions. Nail the Job is written for you and your needs, and it is very good!

Toss out all those stuffy academic books. Forget all that statistical stuff. Imagine living the life. This small book contains everything from how to count in Tewa, to recipes for Tewa breakfast, to becoming a storyteller.

We are also treated to may great photos from historical to contemporary life of Native Americans of the southwest.

Geared for the 9 to 12 year old set this has something for everyone.
