I checked out five books from the library on setting up a home shop from scratch. Even Norm has one. This one was the best by far of what I was looking for so I bought a copy. Although I don't have the same space available, I was able to utilize alot of the secrets from this book to make my available space much better.

This quick read book gets the the dynamics of a malfunctioning team dynamic. It is helpful and a quick read.

This is a very good book with outstanding photography and functional book binding. The basic skills reviewed are a bit redundant and don't advance the readers knowledge very far but it is a good review for beginner stained glass artists. The author should consider writing another book which assumes basic skill sets and focus on taking the reader further into advanced techniques and project design.

Excellent book which includes techniques, tools and tips to improve the stained glass beginners abilities. It also has very good pictures by Alan Wycheck.

This book is a treatise on developing psychic skills with more than 15 black and white reproductions of the author's oil paintings interspersed throughout the text. As explained by this excerpt from the book's introduction:

"It is perhaps understandable that we lost sight of the simple fact that through trance(a common altered state of consciousness) one can develop his or her psychic abilities. The easiest way to induce trance is through hypnotism. Yet hypnotism is only a tool. As in typing, once a person has the know-how to use it, everything then depends on what he has to say; the typewriter is merely the medium. Hypnotism is a very simple tool; it is the fantasies which can be used during the altered state of concsiousness that allow us to open and develop our psychic powers.

Everyone has psychic potential. We are talking about an art, not a science; which means that we quiet our brain and awaken our intuition. When playing a musical instrument, most people are not going to be so gifted that they will fall into the genius category. Yet most everyone can develop enough skill for his own joy and esthetic development. Excellent book. This is what a person who is going to get serious in router table working needs. Woodworking is my hobby. I build many things around the house, from dormers to desks, and cabinets. I bought a Porter Cable 3-1/2 HP router, a Bench Dog table, and a Bench Dog Lifter. I wish I had seen this book before I bought the table. Well, I bought it all at once. I would have made my own table. The book is very well written and the author (Bill) is extremely knowledgeable about his subject. He offers many options for building your own table based on your specific needs. The illustrations are great. It covers many different areas, such as making dovetails, different types of bits, how to make jigs and fixtures, etc. There are no adds about any particular brand, which is great. He focuses of process. This is a great book, built with high quality paper as well. I highly recommend it.

The book provides very thorough insights into biological foundations in relation to water resource management in North America. For those learners and researchers who are interested in biogical monitoring using index of biotic integrity(IBI), there is a lot to gain from the book. One strength of the book is that it provides many examples of IBI regional applications, which are especially useful for those who are planning to introduce IBI to regions where it has not been developed or tested so far. Many chapters are devoted to fish IBI, while invertebrate IBI is also explored a bit. Another strength of the book is that it relates biological criteria to conservation policy, thus making the nature of it interdisciplinary and practical. The book is also practical in the sense that it elaborated on field sampling methods. The book is probably best for intermediate/advanced learners and researchers of this field, and a bit unsuitable for public reading. Biological foundations and their integration into conservation policy in this book are also valuable for people who are working in freshwater conservation and water resource management outside North America. In fact, I am a graduate student from Japan studying in Canada, and I am sure that the book contains valuable information for my home country, too. I definitely rate the book 5 stars!

This book tells you when to use basic carpentry-tools. It really makes you understand carpentry inside the house, especially for someone that wants to do remodeling inside their home, but has never done it. This book contains only facts, with good photos, and is without long boring theory. I loaned this book from our local library, and am now getting it for my own bookshelf, to refer to whenever I need to.

If you want to play blues on a tenor sax, this is really the book for you.

Everything is laid out logically and made easy to use and understand. The sax playing and backing trio on the recording are really good to listen to and the sax player in particular, Dan Greenblatt I presume, has a lovely full sound and obviously loves playing. His enthusiasm is contagious.

The book is beautfully laid out with lots of information and sample riffs, solos etc. But there is not so much that you are overwhelmed by it. Also, there is a good balance of text to blank paper, so that every page appears clear and easy to understand. (I am a teacher so tend to notice this kind of thing.)

You will not regret buying this.
