If you're looking for a clear voice in the endless chatter about investing, this is the book for you. It makes sense -- something almost unheard of in financial publishing. A great investment.

Some of the rules are well known but it was nice to have them listed with others that I wouldn't have thought about. Just being able to have a list of simple rules to better your family (based on Biblical principles) in one book that is easy to read was helpful. I'm hoping to get a few more books to pass out to families in my neighborhood that have forgotten how to be a family.

This book has made the woodworking experience much eaiser. The shop fixtures, jigs, and tip are a must for every woodworker.

When I got this book, I was so impressed with its content on building professional learning communities that I showed it to my boss. After reviewing it, she ordered a complete set for our school to use for teacher in-service. This is a great find for anyone who wants to build a community within their school.

This is a highly useful book that presents forty training and development tools, arranged in eight process stages covering initiating cross-functional teams, developing synergy and consensus, creatively solving problems, and recognizing and rewarding teams. The author describes the functions and methods for implementation of each tool, along with an illustration. Lots of illustrations and charts. A solid team-building resource. This is an easy read. The book is filled with helpful, practical and relevant principles for life. As a husband, father and homeowner, I found the book to be very relevant and helpful. The bonus tips at the end of each chapter are worth the price of the book. Highly recommended.

The full title of this book is _Five Hundred and Seven Mechanical Movements, Embracing All Those Which Are Most Important In Dynamics, Hydraulics, Hydrostatics, Pneumatics, Steam Engines, Mill and other Gearing, Presses, Horology, and Miscellaneous Machinery: and including Many Movements Never Before Published and Several Which Have only Recently Come into Use. At least that was the full title of the seventeenth edition of 1893; the book itself dates back to 1868.

This book is a joy to browse though. It is a little gold mine of ideas for the mechanical designer. Yet, anyone with mechanical aptitude should enjoy it. The many crisp line drawings are presented with a minimum of explanation and no dimensioning. You see, it was assumed back in those days that a person with natural mechanical aptitude could look at a diagram, or a machine, and figure it out. Not only that, but it was assumed that once you had the idea, then you could work out all the details for yourself without having to be told everything down to the last screw size. While there is a descriptive paragraph indexed to every drawing, most of the time you don't really need it.

This book comes from an age when engineers and designers had to have the talent and the knowledge to use the mechanical principles of levers, linkages, cams, gears, etc. to produce a given motion- and to link together many such elegant little mechanisms to get a bigger job done- reliably. This isn't done much anymore. Now most machines are huge, cobbled-up, Rube Goldberg devices of pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders, screw actuators, or servo motors- all interconnected by electronic controllers. The whole thing is controlled by software of even more dubious reliability.

Up to the "digital revolution", this book shows how it was always done- it's how I learned it. Of course, once upon a time, a mechanical designer actually had to understand machinery, and the basic principles of physics, and not just how to write code....

The principles are simple and common, yet profound! It is about creating wealth from within and understanding how money correlates through and with other people. The principles are guarenteed to work in your life now!!

This is a very detailed and informative guide to develope you into a IE.4 guru in no time.Lots of screen pics and a glossary of IE.4 terms that you'll be finding yourself using frequently.There are lots of IE.4 guides out but for what its worth and you weigh heavily on these reviews on Amazon.com to choose the best product I must recommend this one to all IE.4 students.
