It's amazing how the concepts of Clarion never change. The fundamentals presented in this book are still highly useful in developing Clarion apps today (2005). Keep it within your arm's reach and it will pay off.

This is the book to have if you are looking to learn how Clarion works. If you try to learn Clarion 6 using the current user's guides, you will get frustrated. Why? Because the current documentation for Clarion assumes you have been programming in Clarion since they invented it. This book will help you with that.

After you learn the essentials in this book, I'd recommend to subscribe to ClarionMag and read the newsgroups.

This is the best book I have ever read on parenting. While it needs some copy editing and an index, the information it contains is so well informed, so practical, so honest, that it is truly indispensable. I would love to give this book to every expectant parent in the world (I hope it will be translated into other languages). The author explains which parenting techniques work best and why. There are disciplinary examples for every occasion and every age group. She explains each stage of child development so you can understand what can be expected of a child at each age. She demonstrates why every disciplinary action that builds your relationship with your child is a successful method and every action that diminishes that relationship is detrimental. Parents can't be perfect, but this book will give them the tools to do their best. I wish I'd had this book 40 years ago, but at least I've given a copy to my daughter for raising her children. (My daughter loves it, too.)

Peter Drucker has hit the nail on the head. This is strategic planning at its best, particularly for nonprofit organizations. The process is simple and concise, based on Drucker's 5 basic questions. The approach is comprehensive and inclusive. I recommend it to the leadership of any nonprofit organization.

I am struck by its simplicity and by the depth of its value. Seeking to change the old paradigms of a beloved, yet antiquated traditional organization, while at the same time fostering the public support of long-time stakeholders, is daunting. But this no-nonsense approach perpetuates joint problem solving and ownership. DISCOVERY of the real, not assumed, answers to five essential questions helps to level the playing field. I bought this book after a lot of research. I think Noel Jerke has a done a great job on laying out the book. This book will last a long time due to its simplicity and code resuability.
I give 5 stars to the book. The only minus is that the code on CD is not complete and is missing a lot of code which is covered on the book. Nevertheless, it gave me what I am looking for I have designed a site referencing the book. www.siweiinternational.com.

This simply the excellent book. I have Noel's other book named e-commerce developer's guide which is simply excellent too. And both books complete the topic e-commerce best way. These two books use enterprize level database, uses stored procedures, Active server pages to make websites which are excellent and can modify in any way reader can think, I mean database connectivety is flexble enough to adapt to most scenerios. Good thing is that most of webhosting providers are happy to host these type of sites because of least use of dll components, I mean i have never faced any problem with webhost providers becuase I use the same method as given in Noels books of e-commerce.

I have been searching for quite a while that demonstrated how to build community sites using ASP and SQL. This is the book! It provides great code frameworks with excellent explanations.

The book is written for M.I.T. physicists and other scientists who need to design their own test equipment. Thus it is not a cookbook, but it is very practical and goal-oriented. It discusses many standard circuits and describes exactly how and why they work, jumping right into methods used to analyze them (KVL, KCL, Norton and Thevenin equivalences).

As an example of the clear approach to circuit analysis, it starts with circuits that use op-amps because they are easy to understand (i.e., as black boxes). The child of a friend needed some help in making decisions for the future and we ordered this book as a gift. It was a big help and had even more information about the engineering field. Great for any college age engineering student.

I was so impressed with this book that I decided to make it required reading for my Introduction to Mechanical Engineering Class at University of Nebraska. I gives the kind of advice that my colleagues and I wish we had been given as seniors in high school or freshmen or sophomores in college. It is highly recommended for anyone considering engineering as a career.
