The negative reviewer is a disgruntled former student of this author who apparently has so little to do that he can still
nurse his grudge via Amazon's review feature. He has done this for every book by this author.
This book is in its 2nd edition, and has sold many, many copies to satisfied readers. It contains a comprehensive index that makes it a useful addition to the bookcase (and briefcase) of any commercial lawyer.

Why pay somebody for what is free at af dot mil?
Air Force leaders recently approved a new script that can be read during flag-folding ceremonies.
Though there are no official ceremonies in the Air Force that require a script to be read when a flag is folded, unofficial ceremonies such as retirements often do, said Lt. Col. Samuel Hudspath, Air Force protocol chief.
"We have had a tradition within the Air Force of individuals requesting that a flag be folded, with words, at their retirement ceremony," he said. "This new script was prepared by Air Force services to provide Air Force recognized words to be used at those times."
There is no shortage of scripts available that can be read aloud during a flag folding, but many of those scripts are religious in nature and also ascribe meaning to the individual folds put into the flag. One of the oldest of those scripts is attributed to an anonymous chaplain at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Individuals who hear those scripts end up attributing the contents of the script to the U.S. Air Force. But the reality is that neither Congress, nor federal laws related to the flag, assign any special meaning to the individual folds. Colonel Hudspath said that was the primary motive for creating a new flag-folding script.
"Our intent was to move away from giving meaning, or appearing to give meaning, to the folds of the flag and to just speak to the importance of the flag in U.S. Air Force history," he said.
The new script, approved in July, focuses on flag history and the significance of the flag within the Air Force: "Today, our flag flies on constellations of Air Force satellites that circle our globe, and on the fin flash of our aircraft in harms way in every corner of the world. Indeed, it flies in the heart of every Airman who serves our great nation. The sun never sets on our Air Force, nor on the flag we so proudly cherish," the new script reads.
The new script is available at base protocol offices for use by anybody who wants to lend significance to a flag folding, Colonel Hudspath said. The script will not be used at retreats or funerals, as those are silent ceremonies.
"These ceremonies are meaningful to individuals, especially at their retirement," he said. "We wanted to offer a script, containing factual information, that shows respect for the flag and expresses our gratitude for those individuals who protect our country, both at home and abroad."
By October, officials said the Air Force will make a video available to protocol offices and honor guard units that demonstrates a flag-folding ceremony using the new script.

Dr. Andre Guay (my spelling is correct - "Guy" is a misspelling) is a brilliant and extremely well-liked Endocrinologist who
is a forerunner in the study of female and male dysfunction. He is published in many peer-review medical journals. He is
not only compassionate, but willing to listen to his patients, and he is a humble speaker, open to entertaining conversations
and questions from other professionals. There is not a "snooty" bone in his body. His research is well-founded, and you
can be assured he has the patient's interest in mind. Thorough medical articles and research can be found through your local
medical library or university.

Cole begins his article by telling of a Jew who returned to his old house in Germany, four decades after escaping from it
in the 1930s. He and his daughter asked if they could go inside, but were roughly told no. Yet a bunch of Arabs think that
they can't be told no, and that they have a right to not only visit but reclaim their old homes!
I find this demand to go back to these old homes absurd. Maybe those who actually owned the homes have some legal claim, but even then, I think we ought to be talking about monetary compensation through the present court system. But to me it is ludicrous for people who merely lived in a house to simply steal it from the present occupants. After all, the present occupants are the legal owners. They've paid all the property taxes and made all the improvements. Those who claim to be heirs of the ones who fled were never the owners. Why ought they have any claim?
I think the reason some folks say that these Arabs have a genuine claim is because the present owners are Jews, and some people think it would be fun to cheat some Jews, even if they need to toss truth, justice, and human rights out the window to do so.
Cole explains that Arab demands for Israel to honor such claims will sink any negotiations. Well, he was writing in 2001, and he was right.
The author also points out that Arabs are citing UN Resolution 194 as a basis for this absurd claim. But even this resolution merely says that refugees wishing to return to their homes and live in peace with their neighbors ought to be permitted to do so when practicable. That resolution was never agreed to by Israel, was never practicable, and it is ancient history by now. Besides, asks Cole, when have these refugees ever agreed to live at peace with their neighbors?
If Arabs are supposed to be able to displace Jews like this, what principle is being followed? There have been millions of refugees from the 1940s, and none of them have ever obtained any such rights. Certainly not the Jews of Europe or of Arab lands. Nor the Germans of Europe. Cole carefully explains that Germany has unambiguously rejected any notion of a right of return for the over 12 million German refugees and their 60 million descendants.
There are some organizations such as Human Rights Watch and the National Council of Churches who seem to sympathize with the idea of a "return" of Levantine Arabs to Israel. Cole thinks these groups are profoundly naive. I think that's an understatement. I think the demand for a return is an insult to our species, and if implemented, it would set a terrible precedent. It would simply be a bald-faced way to get rid of Jewish rights in the Levant, and that would be followed by getting rid of human rights elsewhere. Human Rights Watch would be out of business, and the National Council of Churches would become an active opponent of human rights in general.
This is an excellent article, and I think those interested in this topic ought to read it.

This article introduces you to the world of demolition derby through the eyes of a teenage girl. She obviously loves derby
and is a good writer. The short essay, which I actually read in the original publication, is an interesting trek through
her world and her words can inspire young people to explore the possibilities around them. I would recommend having preteens
and young teenagers read this article if they are in any way interested in "non-typical" teenager things. They might find
it refreshing and empowering. Especially young women, since the author is a young woman living in a male dominated sport.

Data and material were collected and arranged by Esther Born and Ernest Born.
(Esther Born and Ernest Born were both students of architecture at the University of CAlifornia under the distinguished teacher, John Galen Howard.
Disgusted with the amateur photographs she took during a trip to Europe, Esther Born studied photography as preparation for specialization and as an aid to her future architectural work.
Ernest Born is well known both in San Francisco and New York as a brilliant designer, and has been associated with THE ARCHITECTURAL RECORD and other publications in designing architecture, typographical layouts and editorial work.)
