My favorite Clipper bookReview Date: 2003-09-09
In fact, though it has been several years since I read it, it has always stood out in my mind as one of the best computer books I have read, and it was always the one I kept returning to when I needed help in my programming.
What a Wonderful Book! :-)Review Date: 2000-12-18
My goal when we wrote the book was to write the "K&R" for the Clipper language. Of course, few people are developing for DOS today, but it you are and you want to know the intimate details of how the Clipper language works, consider picking up a copy.
If you have a question for me (though I can't remember much about Clipper today since I've not used for over 6 years), feel free to email me at mikeschinkel@hotmail.com.

One of the most remarkable texts written in years. A monumental issue without any doubt. Go for it and you will be absolutely rewarded.

The other good thing about this book is the use of design patterns throughout the applications. It's good to see design patterns are really used in applications. The codes run with .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1

I recommend this Teach Yourself book because it really does let you learn at your own speed and its a great place to look things up if you get stuck. The explanations are clear and I liked the examples because they helped me think of practical ways I could use the software in our office.
