I have had all the editions of this book and I am again restoring clubs again after msome years and this book is a great reference on knowing what mateials should be used and the prices are right there with all the collectors I deal with.

With the help of this book it contain the best sellers of the world and with this book we are able to know how to deal not only with the people but also with the Software Developers who are working in a firm.

A very good reference book with pictures of 100's of US phone cards. It lists their issue date, How many were made, The company that issued the cards, and the collector value as it stood in 1995/96. Hundreds of color photos. Very good book for the phone card collector.

I thoroughly recommend the purchase of this book to anyone engaged in the study of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy as it almost functions as a "bible" of standard spectra for the elements. I also like the simple summary of the technique which actually includes a lot of information that would be hard to tease out of the overly technical texts on XPS that are around. For Universities and Research Institutes who have personnel experienced in XPS or who have the instrumentation, it is an essential purchase

OK, not really overnight, but this dictionary was recommended to me by a prof in college and I bought it before spending a year in Paris. Mind you I went to Paris with close to zero conversational experience, though I'd started to read a bit. And I wasn't even there to study the language. But because I lived with this dictionary day and night, my new French friends--made two+ months later--insisted on calling me "fluent" (not all Parisians are nasty) and I used it to read many, many, many books when I was there. Harrap's will save your life; I don't usually feel so attached to reference materials.

Definitions are lengthier than other dicitonaries I've seen, and there are sentence examples and word combinations included. If you want to avoid wasting money on dictionaries that only kind of help you translate/understand because they only give you a one- or two-word English equivalent, and you want to be able to dig deeply into a text, buy this one.

If, like me, you are a target shooter who uses a High Standard pistol this book is a must. It helps to identify every model and every variation of High Standard. It help to understand the history of the pistol and the steps that lead to the final evolution of it. The only thing lacking - not too important - is data on pistols manufactured after High Standard went out of business.

This book covers all of the main concepts you will need to know when studying history of the German language. It's very organized and was great help to me as I was getting my German degree. It was also the only book I could find on the subject in English at the time (this was 2 years ago) and had to special order it. Also- if you are using "Geschichte der deutschen Sprache" by Peter von Polenz in a class and are struggling with translation you REALLY need the Waterman! It will clarify much of the von Polenz.

If you are a German studies student this is a must have, but
even if you don't have a background in linguistics and are interested in european history, you are likely to find the Waterman fascinating.

This is a great reference for all who are looking for answers in any version of The Bible. Navigation is simple and accurate. It has become indispensable in my studies.

If you are looking for a nice travel size New American Standard Holy Bible with very readable print and indexed this is it.

This is a perfect Bible for anyone looking for the new Holman version in a large print edition. Type is easily read and my eyes are not as good as they once were. The leather cover is a good quality and the page edges are guilded in gold. Words of the Lord are in red.
It is larger than I expected and is quite heavy but I've gotten used to it and would not want to go back to my former Bible.
The Holman version is very readable and true to the original manuscripts. If you are in a SBC Sunday School, this is the version on the left side of the quarterly -- the KJV is on the right.
