This is the most in depth book about manual repairs on the rx-7. when i was rebuilding my engine i had a shop look at it, thier shop manual from mazda gave almost no infromation, i showed them what i was using and than they borrowed my book to try to fix the car! I rebuilt this car from the ground up with my bare hands thanks to this book. great for begginers or advanced mechanics, when i started i had never turned a wrench in my life, this book gave valuable insight into many aspects of car mantaince in general along with specifics about the rx-7. I would give this 6 stars if they would let me!!!!!

The 201 tools contained in this small, highly useful book range from Acid Test (doing a quick ratio of financials) to Z-Scores. Each tool is listed alphabetically, its use explained, and instructions on how to use it is provided. What I particularly liked is the worked examples that accompany each tool.

As an IT consultant who specializes in service delivery this book is not one I would normally include in my professional library. I was introduced to it when a colleague and I were writing a white paper on recovery management. We were searching for a way to link business imperatives to justification for investment in recovery strategies. We found one piece of the puzzle in this book - the Altman Z-Score. This tool predicts whether or not a company is likely to enter into bankruptcy within one or two years. This led to the development of a copyrighted model that addressed survival level objectives, and also became a key part of the Tarrani-Zarate Information Technologies Management Model. All this from a single entry in a small book!

Aside from discovering a relatively obscure, but important, tool I also found other useful tools in this book. Because I am not a business consultant or financial expert the tools were like a cram course in financial management for non-financial people. For example, I was able to apply some of the tools to personal financial matters - the real costs of a loan become quickly apparent when you compute them. I was also able to employ some of the tools to conduct realistic cost/benefit analyses, examine trade-offs supporting approaches to projects, etc. In this respect this small book has significantly improved my professional skills and has inspired me to read other books on financial management.

I strongly recommend this book - collection of tools really - to anyone who deals with finance, anyone who has P&L responsibilities, and business and IT consultants. The latter group will find this book to be invaluable for developing proposals, deliverables and project plans that add value.

A wonderful book that will help you think about your business or your clients business in new ways. A great set of simple thinking tools that help get way beyond the simplisitic analysis that SWAT will get you. It lets you see effects of effects of effects.

Finally, a Power Pack book. I had searched far and wide but I was not able to find a book that could serve my needs for Mechanical Desktop. Then I found this Power Pack book and it is great. It has a friendly format and it will definately come in handy for the next class that I have to teach.

The inclusion of worksheets makes for a practical resource, offering reproducible fill-in checkpoints for success.

I have been in the field of business development and Instructional Design for over 15 years. Over the years, I've seen many organizations resist change, attempt to change, fight to re-engineer, adopt TQM, QA, SOPs (sic)...you name it. Many have attempted to succeed by using a part and partial approach. It seems Roger Kaufman has taken Needs Assessment and shown how it can encompass the best practices to insure business success by careful, committed, comprehensive planning. The elements of change we have come to know as fundamental to world-wide business and organizational survival and success are woven into a convincing model.

At a high level, his paradigm is truly holistic. At a "micro" level, it is detailed to the point where it can be put into practice step-by-step.

Aside from the strength of his thinking, his writing style is refreshing. I found myself actually chuckling at points throughout the book. Once again, his parallels and examples are real-world and sometimes so simple that anyone should be able to comprehend and accept his rationale.

I am currently working on a needs assessment for a VERY large Federal Agency. They have demanded that we follow this model from beginning to end; testimony to its acceptance beyond academic settings.

This is a great reference book to have. It can relate to so many siutations and is very helpful.

Mentoring by evangelist Henry A. Simon (Senior Pastor, Belleville, Illinois) is the latest volume in the Concordia Publishing House "Christian Leadership" series. Mentoring was specifically written to assist pastors and church leaders in helping their congregants to discover hidden talents while maturing in their Christian faith, service, and understanding. Offering answers regarding many mentoring dilemmas, Mentoring is a solid work, and very highly recommended for anyone entrusted with the sacred task of religious guidance within the context of a Christian community.

If you are looking for a wonderful book to escape into you will love this book. What is neat about it is all ages can fall in love with it. It makes you feel young again and it truly warms the heart. It is a neat book to pick up whenever you want to put a smile on your face and travel to another world!!
