After reading the text and looking at Hayne Palmour's amazing photos, you feel as if you're part of the Marines who took part in the early part of the Iraq war. Excellent work by both journalists.

The Physician Investigator Handbook, by Deborah Rosenbaum and Fred O. Smith, is an excellent book for every physician who conducts, or who has ever considered conducting, clinical trials. The book contains practical and useful information about the conduct of clinical trials from the physician's perspective. Physicians will learn, in a clear and concise format, about the facilities and staff required, the investigator's role, compliance with regulations, and how to prepare study budgets and work with the study sponsor and its representatives. This book is an excellent guide to help physicians decide whether to enter the lucrative world of clinical trials. Furthermore, it can save time and money for novice and experienced investigators alike. I highly recommend this book for all physician investigators involved in the conduct of clinical trials. The authors write from experience and pack the book with useful information. What a great investment!

If you're looking for a book that will help you plan and promote your conference, get this one! Although not a detailed logistical planning book, it provides many tips in marketing, program design, and presenting a quality image for your conference. Each chapter has tons of tips that are very practical. There are also sample documents that will make your planning job easier.

I've used bandsaws in my youth but just recently purchased a 19 inch General Bandsaw and wanted a good reference book. I reviewed several titles and was dissapointed after purchasing books reviewers described as "must have". Several books I read had missing text and poor organization with antiquated information. I was advised by a friend to purchase the Popular Mechanics Workshop series, and did. This is a very well written book describing the pros and cons of different machines, purchasing guidelines, machine set-up, maintenance & tuning, blade selection guidelines, educational projects to build your expertise and jigs to enhance your machine. All-in-all a very good book with only a few editing errors, unlike some other band saw books I've read. I liked this book so much I purchased the miter saw and table saw books.

For the novice wood worker this book is a must!!
Teaches the most common routing methods including sign making, dove tailing, edge crafting and joinery.
Excellent illustrations.
The book is well written and is understandable to the layperson
but also covers information for the qualified wood worker.
A great reference book or refresher for the home shop.

I like this book if you are like me and just starting out there is a lot of good information in here and they make recommendations to help you pick the right tools for the job. If you are just setting up your shop and need to learn this is a must have...

This book is a must-have for anyone looking for insight into how to discipline, promote and inspire child and people, for that matter. I enjoyed most all of it and recommend it to anyone, especially those in helping professions or parents who want a balanced view of raising children.

Excellent book on Peak Pro. If you want to get into audio and learn Peak Pro, this is an excellent resource.
