If you like wrenchs, this is the book for you. While it does not get into the prices/values of any given wrench, it does have LOTS of great ads and history. It adds to the fun of collecting these great tools. A very well put together book that is a must have for the wrench/old tool collector.

Kenneth L. Cope has really outdone himself with this edition. The entire book has been revamped and reorganized, and it also includes MANY new entries. What Cope has presented us is a fascinating look into the history of this excellent tool and how it has technically advanced over the years.

I was really impressed by the accuracy of which Cope dates each model. He doesn't simply include when each model was introduced, but also when it was primarily operated, who the maker was (if known), etc. The entire volume is so comprehensive that it's mind-boggling, and nothing is seemingly left out. The book is chalk-full of pictures and diagrams, given the reader an easy point of reference.

If you are a collector, this is your heaven. There is no other source that includes more information at your fingertips than Cope's work on this volume. I emphatically recommend it, even if you have just a passing interest in wrenches. You will quickly become enthralled by the sheer magnitude of the knowledge presented. Do not miss your chance on this before it goes out of print.

This small book shows with words and pictures exactly what to look for when contemplating the purchase of an old tool. It explains what the tool was used for, how to spot broken parts and how to make it work the way it is supposed to. In some cases it shows the evolution from primitive to modern hand tool. Excellent sections on the many different types of planes from smoothing planes to complicated molding planes. A keeper for future reference.

This book is a history of antiques and architecture used in gardens since early times. Lots of great pics and very, very interesting to read and learn.

An inside perspective on structural shortcomings in the EPA brownfields program (1999) re: applying new technologies to expedite contaminated site characterization and cleanup. Also details how few federal demonstration sites receiving grant funds (in politically significant redevelopment projects) across the country had actually reached the completion stage before running out of funds and failing to receive outside capital. If the agency had revised its sampling guidance to permit the introduction of more efficient, cheaper tools, some of those programs may have proceeded more rapidly to completion.

This text covers all aspects of applied regression. In addition, it covers required background, theory, and several examples. It is written clearly and develops logically. I used this text for a course, and I highly recommend this text.

One of the good things about this book is that it contains many useful charts and diagrams. For example, the procedure of making guttman scales is explained in an easily understandable manner with example charts. Suggestions for further readings also contain many useful and recent materials. As a practical guide for social research, I recommend this book, because it is reader-friendly and does not require a lot of reading; everything needed is found at a glance.

Too many students are being taught approaches that are no longer relevant to practice. Alfaro-LeFevre knows how to grab your attention and let you know what you must know to succeed both in classroom and clinical settings. She discusses "old" versus "new" thinkng and gives sound strategies and rational for moving forward into this decade. As with her other book, Critical Thinking and Clinical Judgment --- an AJN Book of the Year Award winner --- she makes difficult content easy (even fun) to learn. Her emphasis on ANA standards as they apply to using nursing process as a tool for critical thinking ensures a sound, logical, relevant approach.
