3D Books

There was absolutely nothing hear that gave strategies and/or secrets to Panzer General 3D Assault! The instruction manual that comes w/this game comes w/ a better strategy plan for the tutorial, than any of the strategies listed here. Most strategies are one to three paragraphs long!! Hardly any info. for you to use. Don't buy this book, if you really want it, email me, and I sell you my copy for a buck! Thats about how much its worth! If I could rate this book a minus 1, it still would be over-rated!

Let me start by saying that I bought this book mostly for the equipment tables. Well, they are all wrong. Even the headings do not compare to those used in the game itself. There has also been equipment omitted from the tables. Also, the number of turns given for most of the scenarios in the campaigns are wrong. The strategies are mostly OK but if, like me, you are buying this book for the equipment tables - don't! Either the authors of the book did not play the game or there was a massive overhaul of the game after the book was written.

I purchased the book and was greatly disapointed. I purchased the book to use the data tables as a means of comparing different units in the game. When I started reading the book I noticed that none of the Soft and Hard Attack values matched the game values for ANY of the units in the book. These factors are the most important numbers to look at when comparing unit info. Why buy a guide book that supplements the rule book if the information is incorrect...not just some or a few of the values but all of them.

I also looked at the walkthroughs of the various campaigns and senarios and these seem to be lacking some depth. If you are looking for anything earth shattering in this guide book in the walkthroughs don't bother. If your looking for unit stats to be accurate and informative you had better just look at the data the game gives you.

My overall ratting is a 1 and would not recommend this book to anyone who loves this game.

Here is another truly bad book by Shamms Mortier. He obviously has no idea how comics are created, and how they look. The examples are terrible, and the writing is amateurish at best.

If you want to learn how to create a comic, just read some graphic novels instead of this waste of paper.

Mortier already published one book on the subject. This time, he's given a bit more information on the creation of actual comics (rather than just creating figures) and how to add word balloons and such.

Sadly, he's still done very little that would help someone interested in using a computer to create comics. One peek at the cover should warn anyone off of the book: The art is amateurish in the extreme. The internal comics are of such poor quality that it's unbelievable that a publisher let them pass. And such a simple thing as leaving some white space between a word balloon outline and the letters within seems beyond Mortier (giving him away immediately as someone without any real experience or understanding of making good looking comics).

Again, I wonder why Mortier didn't team with a comics pro (or at least someone who had actually looked at comics with an artist's eye). Instead, he muddles through with his personal idea of what comics should be (thankfully, nothing published today matches this vision of comics... it would be laughed off the shelves).

I'm giving it one star since 1 and a half isn't possibly. It's definitely a step up from his earlier volume on comics, but a very small step. It's also cheaper, so you're not wasting as much money if you really want to give this book a look.

The book was terrible, it didn't really provide sample code that could be used for study or clean examples. Also it kept making a reference to products that needed to be licensed. There are much better books than this one, it was more like a product manual for their libraries and a complete waste at 50.00.

In the new field of 3D echo this book is one of the latest on this topic. I expected to get a text book with comprehensive review, but instead I got a pamphlet that is priced approximately at a dollar a page.

Don't buy this book!!!
I purchased this book, and thought it would be an introduction to Desktop Photogrammetry, but it is not. What it is is a handbook on using specific software. On top of that, the company that made the discussed software is out of business, and the accompanying software disk requires a registration code, which can't be had. The company selling this book most likely knows this problem, but chose not to remedy it. The accompanying disk is hand labeled, so the seller must have a stock of the books, but only one copy of the software and no registration codes (They just happen to be in the same town as the original developer).

This book is far to general even for the beginner, it tries to go through examples but fails miserably and instead talks about the authors experience in the field, which isn't to impressive

Este libro de 2 CDs promete mucho en su promocion, pero ofrece realmente poco.

Trae una explicacion de comandos como de instructivo y muy pocos ejercicios para su implementacion. ¿A quien le sirve saber lo que hace el software si no le enseña a hacerlo?

Lo que me intereso inicialmente fue el taller de diseño que trae como promocion el cual NO VIENE CON EL CD, sino que hay que bajarlo del internet y a la fecha me ha sido imposible, ya que el enlace esta roto. Ha sido realmente un dolor de cabeza localizar a los vendedores del libro. Tardan mucho en responder y literalmente tiene uno que hacer "click" en cada uno de los correos electronicos que ponen en su sitio WEB "a ver" cual responde.

No vale los $49.99 dolares. Esta carisimo para lo que es. No gasten su dinero en esto; mejor compren los libros virtuales (e-books) AutoCad I y AutoCad II, por menos de la mitad de precio y con mucho mas y mejor contenido.

Looks great but refuses to work with Mac OS 9.1

This text was used in a 100 level Soc. class at a local Western NY college. The Professor was great at trying to present the material, but the "agenda" of the material presented by Cox is clear. The book has to its fault presented conclusions of Cox, as fact statements, without presentation of proofs. The evolution of the "institution" of marriage is poorly served by Cox and his insistance on calling almost anything two or more people do together, a qualified "family", gives us pause. Definitions are too wide and unworkable. It could be used in a health class at Junior High to teach "relationship training", but we should get this stuff from mom and dad. Stay home, talk to your parents a lot and skip Cox. Its TOO long for what it does have to say. Another text to develope a college class around. The presentation of material on communications should properly have been seperated into another text for a communication class. If your using this to learn Soc. at home, it may be OK. But there is too much that does not need to be here for a Soc. of the Family course. A teacher may love it till he has to establish the curve because nobody could consume it in 15 weeks. Take it slow if you must, a chapter at a time, and take with many large grains of salt.

This publisher printed many outstanding bread and breakfast cookbooks by Melissa Craven and Carol Faino. Each author meticulously tested every recipe, and carefully added her own ideas, hints, and observations. In contrast, this loser doesn't cite an author, and blindly prints recipes WITHOUT ANY comments. They apparently were never tested! You can find awesome bread and breakfast recipes online, or in many existing cookbooks. Don't waste your money on this loser.
