WOWZERS> This employee profile was exciting suspenseful and funny, I Couldn't set it down. I was cooking a humungous ham for Jeremy and I burnt it because when I had to take my ham out of the oven I SAID TO MYSELF, " Poo to Jeremy and his ham!!" so, I read my book and let the ham burn! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! There was one part in the book, however, that did not appeal to me. The part on page 29 when the author starts to say how he's gonna get jeremy and how that as soon as he finds him he is going to stuff him full of tiny ground up Cap'n Crunches until Jeremy cries out " I Am SUPERMAN!!!". The author goes on to say that if he were to rate j Dawg on a scale from 0-10, Jeremy would get a big fat turkey of a ZERO!!!! I was very unhappy with this part of the book and actually, after reading it, I took, put a little bit of barbeque sauce on it, and fed it to my next door neighbor's kitty. This was a very sugar wafferery type of a book, and if you like books that jump up and down and bast themselves in tomato juice, then you'll love this book!!!!!!!!

I think that Vause is too verbose, using 5 lines of mediocre prose to explain what he could and should have explained in 1 line of good prose.

I also think that he doesn't deal directly with the implicit, underlying assumptions of financial analysis. He definitely touches on these concepts, but he doesn't "knock them out of the park." I'm left feeling that he knows a lot more than he's able to clearly communicate.

Rather than giving a bunch of formulas to use in Excel, this book actually tries to impart you some knowledge of real world.
While the knowledge maybe old hat for experienced stock analysts, it is NOT for new comers to the field.
And for the Excel script MBAs who try to reduce everything to an equation, sorry dudes.
This book attempts to make u first understand the purpose, goal, and results you would get in a analysis, and then goes about teaching you that analysis.

Concise, insightful and easy to read, this book is an excellent introduction for the ordinary people. The books reliance on examples - both real and fictitious - is what makes it stand out from rest of the crowd.

The first section introduces you to various pieces of information on the balance sheets, income and cash flow statements. There are no complicated equations or quick-fix formulate. Instead, there is discussion supported on the true meaning and significance (or insignificance) of various pieces of information that the companies report - what underlying information they reveal and how they can possibly be fudged. The second section brings the information together and shows the reader how to apply it to analyze the operations, trends, strengths and weaknesses of a company.

It is an invaluable tool for those who want to take charge of their investment portfolios and also for those who want a broader understanding of financial aspects of businesses. It will arm you with both the necessary information and the critical insight needed to unearth the truth beneath the numbers.

This book, profiling America's largests businesses shares history and information of some of the biggest and most popular and important businesses throughout America's history. The book is quite intersting, and informative. A great book to have around, at a great price aswell.

This is an excellent resource for libraries seeking big bucks for large projects. The indexing and state by state information provides for easy searching for local grant giving organizations. Future publications of this resource may wish to add company information in state by state format instead of alphabetical so one doesn't wind up going back and forth. Though the information is absolutely marvelous the cost is overpriced, especially for libraries seeking funds! Smart librarians should resource share in order to fully reap the benefits without wiping out the budget.

This guide is chock-a-block full of great info, but it's all to typical of trade books for fundraisers -- if you can afford these overpriced guides, maybe you don't need to be raising money after all. How many libraries have the resources for this?

Interesting book filled with interesting trivia ... but frankly Lindy Woodhead needs a good editor to organize and rewrite Ms. Woodhead's high school writing skills.

This book has no proper indexing. There's no geographic index (so you can't find grants targeted to your state) and no subject index (so you can't find grants targeted to your need - ie capital improvements, education, etc). You would need to read every single entry in the book to find all the grants that could be applicable.
