Whilst researching the field of IT and computer Law I wasdirected to this excellent book written by Ian Lloyd. The content ofthe book is both informative and well written. Professor Lloyd has both attempted and achieve to cover the complex subject of the issues of law relating to computers.

The world of IT and computers is a fast evolving one and Professor Lloyd has, in writng this book, been able to shed light on problems both past and present in his coverage of this subject and citation of the numerous stautes and caselaw relating to it.

For anyone interested in computers, law or both, then this book is a must if you want to understand the legal concepts and issues of IT in the 21st Century.

The Insider's Guide to AOL is more than just a beginners guide. Among other things it shows you how to create your own Web site. Covers AOL 4.0 and is a guide to everything that is useful in AOL.

CompTIA Exam 220-221 is the A+ Core exam and having taught the certification several times I found that several book cover both exams but this is the first one I have found that tackles only the single exam and because of that you have better details for the objectives.

Over 800 pages, which starts with a overview of the pc from the beginning, then onto motherboards, cpus, storage, scsi, memory, printers, networking and video and sound. Every exam objective has been given coverage, one thing I was impressed with is the easy to follow explanation of the Laser Printer process. The author(s) have the ability to make the complex easy, and they do it throughout the book.

There are tips, diagrams, figures and summaries as well as review questions in each chapter, there is even a practice exam included in the book. About the only error I found in the book was on page 674 where it has you refer to Appendix C for Subnetting, there is no Appendix C in the book

The cd included with the book uses the BeachFront Engine and has over 450 practice questions included. Overall this book is written by someone I have a great deal of respect for and the material included should give you a very good chance of passing the exam on the first try.

An exellent book on an important subject-worth picking up.

It is fantastic for non Windows programmers (... the real programmers ) having no previous experience of assembler or C language. It explains very well how to interface serial device. I have successfully used it to interface my computerized clinical analyzer. It is expensive but really works.

I read this book in 1994 and have recommended it to many people since. I'm actually using this book as a "recommended reading" for follow-up after my basic Internet presentations to clients. Explains the ins and outs of how the Internet evolved and what the original applications were and how it all relates to our day-to-day computer interactions. Good Job!

I was assigned the task of designing an email monitoring application for a major hosting provider. I needed to gain a deep understanding very quickly. I saw this book on a co-workers shelf and borrowed it. Within an hour, I had everything I needed to design the process.

This is an excellent technical presentation for anyone, whether or not they have a strong technical foundation

And what forms can you fill out to vaporize that pesky telemarketer - all right there for your easy use. An excellent text - highly recommended.

Since I bought this book, I can hardly keep it on my desk. All of our engineers constantly steal it for reference and definitions of various components within the ATM networking world. Personally, I've completly spun myself up on ATM, solely from this book. I would strongly recommend it as a starter manual and professional reference.
