Since the dynamics, personal and structural, in the Nixon and Carter administrations were so different, it is a useful education in the methodology of waging internecine feuds.

He gives examples of letters, agreements, etc... that work in most any type of consulting business you are involved. This book is a keeper!

Perspective: As a medical resident of Internal Medicine as well as Pediatrics, I am often hard pressed for time and in need of information that is succinct, yet reliably complete. I have found 5MCC to be just such an outstanding resource.

Content: While not inclusive of every disorder/condition, 5MCC has focussed on both the common as well as the serious illnesses that a physician needs to be efficient and effective.

Organization: The "single-spread" layout is a welcome sight to anyone who wants to get to the point without wading through pages and pages. Iconic references allow quick identification of topic sections. Consistent organization lends to systematic study and memorization.

Application: I find this reference perfect to brush up on a topic I haven't recently encountered (in study or practice). It is a good reference to cross reference differential diagnoses and confirm completeness in an initial patient work-up. I have used this book in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as for telephone triage.

Evaluation: I give this text my highest recommendation.

Guardian of the Presidency: The Legacy of Richard E. Neustadt Richard Neustadt worked with 7 US presidents and his narration of the PBS documentary of the presidency made him familiar to many viewers. He was a well-loved professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Gov't (which he helped to found) shaping the minds of many of this generation's leaders. The book is written by those who knew him well, from Al Gore to Jonathan Alter, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Arthur Schlesinger and many more. The chapters reveal as much about the lives of the writers and the times we live in. It's politics and the life of those who live and breathe it.

Reading the list of photo-credits at the back of this book is like reading the index in a "Who's Who in the world of Underwater Photography." There are colour photographs (though occasionally a map or diagram) on every single page and the standard of that photography is as good as it gets.

As far as the content is concerned, this is also as good as it gets. If, for whatever reason, you were faced with being limited to purchasing a single book on the subject of Sharks (and there are hundreds to choose from) then this book will satisfy all your requirements.

Yes, there is a section on Shark Attack - but this is not over-dramatised to make the reader walk in fear of going near the water's edge - as is the case is so many books. Instead we have a perfectly balanced record of the Shark and their close cousins the Rays. The book is well laid out and, once read, gives the reader a complete and wide understanding of these incredible creatures - many species of which are now on the brink of extinction.

Altogether and excellent book and an essential addition to any scuba diver's library.

International trade as a subject has been very well presented by this book.It provides contracted yet pertinent information of almost all elements of International Trade.A lovely book to start with when studying International Trade and can also be very useful for professionals.The book has an array of examples which facilitate learning.I would say,this book will broaden your scope of understanding and must be used in conjunction with your learning material.This book is definetely a guide!

This guide follows the same pattern of the very sucessful Cisco Networking Academy series. You have a CD, Study Manual and a Lab Manual as well. Quite a good selection of study materials from a very respected company. Good quality, good coverage of the subject base and well priced (in UK). Recommended.

Finding a job is a tricky business in itself, but finding the RIGHT job is even tougher. Having a really good recruitment consultant (or consultants) should make your job hunt easier, but often they not only fail (hugely) to make our job hunt easier but in fact make our job searches even tougher by being sloppy and inefficient. This excellent little book plugs the gap left by the other books in this genre: the others deal with CV writing and applications and covering letters, psychometric tests and interview skills, but if you haven't got your consultant doing their job all that sort of misses the point and is somewhat wasted. This book tells the truth about how to deal with recruitment consultants and also tells the truth about what really goes on behind the scenes. Henderson has used insider knowledge and combined it with industry research and hands on experience to create a really useful tool to help you in your job search. On top of that the style is highly engaging, and as you read it you feel as though you're sitting across the table from a really good friend who knows the industry well enough to be able to give you the inside track. Overall a great read and has already proved to be thoroughly useful for me and several of my friends. Highly recommend buying this book if you want to find your ideal job!
