As a full time QuickBooks instructor for over 10 years, there have been times when I wanted a reference to validate or guide me to the best solution on practical problems that I encountered with a client's company file. This book is the answer. Mr. Sleeter has created a roadmap for both new and experienced QuickBooks accountants, consultants, and power users that can save them from many wasted hours learning QuickBooks by trial and error, or having to go back to re-enter data because the solution they tried does not work.
It goes beyond mechanical matters and deals with utilizing QuickBooks properly from an accounting, business, and technical point of view, for example finding and correcting errors during bank reconciliation. This structured resource covers the best way to work with real issues, some of which are not covered in the instruction manual like setting up customer and vendor opening balances to track aging, warning about memo information in journal entries, adjusting income accounts, and other tricky transactions. Important topics are "Things Accountants Must Know" and "Troubleshooting Data Files".
The Consultant's Reference Guide starts by describing new features of the current edition of QuickBooks, and logically progresses through company file setup and special setup issues. Numerous examples show the reader what action to take to ensure data accuracy when working with complex problems. The easy to read graphics, step-by-step explanations and organization of the contents make it worthwhile as both reference and self-paced tutorial.
Subjects covered provide an excellent balance of information like fundamental details of setting up payroll through advanced issues of networking QuickBooks and QuickBooks Point of Sale. If you are an accountant or provide QuickBooks professional services owning this book will give you confidence that the right answer to many QuickBooks questions is at hand.

A fine guide to QuickBooks consulting. I taught QuickBooks for 2 years for a local organization and this book would have been a lifesaver for many of my students. It goes over many of the features in QuickBooks as well as providing a ton of information on features (and bugs) that aren't documented in the manual. If you use QuickBooks or support clients on the software then you should look into this manual. It covers a LOT of new ground and I'm certain you'll get something out of it.

A GREAT Reference For Everyone in Business

With the large number of layoffs in corporations and government agencies in the past couple of years and the economic slow down, people have to work more efficiently, and effectively to maximize the resources that they still have. To use a tired and well-worn expression " to work smarter".

This book teaches you just how to do that. It showed me how to make the most of the assets within my company that I would never have even thought of, or even considered an "asset" per se, to help my work group to make up for the people that we've lost due to layoffs and "rightsizing."

I would never have guessed that some of these simple suggestions and techniques would have such a large impact on my business.

I also really enjoyed Robert's writing style . It's an easy read, and not like other similar books I've read that seem more like a Ph.D. thesis. His book is direct, to the point and I really like that examples and templates are included for all of the work.

This is "not your father's managment book". There are no punches pulled, and I LOVE the stories that he uses to explain his point (the story of Margaret and Mary alone, is worth the price of the book) FUNNY! I can't believe that this actually happened!!

One other thing that really drew me to the book was the part about the New Jersey Devil Consultant. My company has had many consultants in and out of here for over two years, and they never seem to do any good. Now I know why. I'll never look at another "six sigma" consultant or any other, the same way again. I now know how to spot a good consultant who will actually do some good, versus one that is only going to rip us off and will be sure to quiz them on HOW they do their work, not just how much they are going to cost us.

I HIGHLY recommend this book for ANYONE in business. I'm not even convinced that we NEED consultants anymore. Me and my team can do this work ourselves!

Thorough, honest, and well executed...

If you are at the top and are having troubles, this book is for you. If you are on your way to the top, keep this by your bedside. Or, if you find yourself one of the lost... avoid the New Jersey Devil Consultant and purchase a copy for each of your staff.

Bob has a great talent for simplifying the complex, a hard-to-find talent amongst consultants. His proven record and examples are a rare find among business books. Take a look around the business topics here on Amazon.com and you'll find many books written by leaders who eventually stomped their companies and/or their employees into the ground. OR - you'll find books written in theory, but never delivered on in an actual business.

Bob's refreshing book shows his experience, knowledge of the complex balance of employee leadership, intellectual talent, knowledge management, systems, and process management. Being good at any ONE thing may get you to the top... but you need to know how to balance all to keep there. Bob understands this.

This book will save you time and expense. For once, a book with a Return on Investment!

This book is a must read for anyone in business. Flores' approach to management and writing is straightforward and succinct. His explanations and examples are engaging and applicable across organizational departments. He is arming people with the knowledge they need to `see through' so much of the unnecessary politics and inefficiencies in corporations. He accomplishes this through his story-telling as well as giving the reader tools to use to achieve efficiency and sanity.

Made MY Customer's happy!

I was looking for a book that would help me to serve my customers better in addition to saving money in my business.

This book is it!

This book should be called "How to please your customer and save money while doing it."

After reading the first three chapters, I decided to put the material to the test and begin some of the work suggested in the book. The results were nothing short of amazing. Using the pre-made templates, and what I learned on building an effective organization, I was quickly able to make small changes within my organization that had HUGE impacts.

Our customer satisfaction ratings went up by over 25% in a MONTH, and we've saved enough money to hire new people. Not bad for an economy that is suffering so badly, I'd say.

I also like Robert's writing style. It's easy to read, and it is assuring to know that there is a "real person" behind this work, whose faced similar business problems and found a way to overcome them.

I'll also mention that we considering hiring a Six Sigma consultant and narrowly averted the disaster that surely would have followed. Six Sigma sounds like a good way for improving a business UNTIL you read this book. Now that I understand what Six Sigma REALLY is, I won't even consider them in the future or other consultants that can't explain to me what it is that they are going to deliver for my business.

This is my kind of book. Easy to understand, practical to use, and results right away. I highly recommend it.

I came up with 'Nice Try' without knowing that I was looking for it: I found a copy at a yard sale. Needless to say I was "hooked" on Shane Maloney, and set out to get all of his books, which I did. My only regret is that I have read them all. All I have to look forward to now is another Maloney book, or old age and a bad memory so I can reread them!! The Aussie government is a bit different from ours in the USA, but it's not hard to catch on. The political manipulations and greed are easily identifiable there, too. You can't go wrong with a Murray Whelan mystery!!!

No one writes crime fiction as well as Shane Maloney. No one comes close. Not Robert B. Parker, Robert Crais, Tony Hillerman. They're great craftsmen, and of course, Shane Maloney is an apple to their oranges. But he's simply got more energy, more wit, more craft. Nice Try is an amazing book.

A word of warning to non-Australian readers, although written in English, the Australian vernacular in this book is used often and with wild abandon. Before reading the book, it would be wise to brush up on your Aussie slang, lest you get left behind. A quick test is provided at the end of this review to see if you're up to it.

In case you want to brave it without fortifying yourself with the lingo, err...language, here's a rundown as to what the book's about. Fair dinkum!

It's 1990 and the city of Melbourne is making a bid for the 1996 Olympic Games, and things are looking very promising. As far as the Bid Committee is concerned, they're a shoo-in, with only one possible cloud on the horizon. They want to ensure that the aboriginal people are on board when the IOC delegates hit town. So Murray Whelan is enlisted to keep things quiet on the aboriginal front. A simple job as far as he's concerned, it should be money for jam and then back to his job as advisor to the Minister for Water Supply.

And so it was until a young aboriginal athlete is bashed to death, and pretty soon, the whole bid starts to become jeopardised. As fast as Murray tries to fix the problems, the more they seem to crop up with the problems becoming more outlandish and, at times, amusing.

As we all know, the Melbourne bid for the 1996 Olympic Games failed and this is a humorous suggestion as to a contributing factor to it's failure.

Oh yes, and here's my test to see how hard or easy it will be to understand the language: "Take a squiz at this book, she's a real corker, fair dinkum. You'd be a real drongo to miss it and probably about as popular as a blowie at a barbie .So garn, give it a burl."

He knew it all along

Today - Memorial Day 2000 - the New York Times headlined a story about a massive protest by the Aborigines in Sidney. They feel left out of the cultural doings at the upcoming Summer Olympics. In his book, Mr.Maloney's protagonist Murray Wheelan tries to nail down Melbourne's bid for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Guess what the problem is? The aborigines feel neglected and protest. This being fiction, things get quite involved, of course, with murder, mayhem and a family confusion right out of Gilbert and Sullivan. We have a passel of Aussie crackpots, and the author's humor makes you laugh out loud. Ignore the mystery part - just enjoy the incredible humor.

You can treat this as "the" book you need to read to understand different aspects of PKI to get a "big picture". Very good analogies to the things that you use in day-to-day life. It reads like fiction and will make you happy that you chose to read this.

Explains PKI at a level better than most other options

The author has a unique ability to explain PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) in a way that is detailed and clear. PKI is a very complex topic and requires a knowledge of many other fieds including technology and security to even begin. It is beyond the grasp of the average Internet user today. After reading many other PKI books and doing hours of research on the Internet regarding PKI, I had been able to piece together the processes and basics on PKI. But after only reading the first 2 chapters of this book, I felt I understood concepts better than any other source.

The only criticism I have is that the author uses too much levity in explaining his points. The jokes are not that funny but unfortunately they keep coming.

Great for PKI newcomers

This is a great book for those fairly new to PKI. I needed to find out about PKI quickly, and this book explained it in clear terms. It begins by explaining encryption techniques and algorithms, and you don't have to have PhD in mathematics to understand it. Then it introduces PKI in logical pieces and concepts. Each chapter builds on the previous chapter, so it is really easy to understand. It shows how various applications can use PKI (SSL, SMIME, etc) as well as how a PKI can be implemented.

If you are new to PKI and need to get a handle on it quickly, then I highly recommend reading this book. It is well worth the money.

One of the best real-world examinations of PKI

I've read quite a few books on PKI now, one of the best being Schneier's Secrets and Lies, which is fairly negative on the technology over all, and appropriately so.

This book is a good deal more positive on the technology, but is not pollyanna. I think that Schneier realizes that the technology is a helpful tool, though it does not solve the human engineering problems that need o be solved to implement "real" security. This book helps you understand how to do that, and gives you a feel for where the bodies are buried.

The biggest skeleton in PKI's closed has always been authentication, which PKI does not solve, but vendors would have you believe it does. This is the first book by from a PKI house that lays those cards on the table. OF course, RSA *does* make most of its dough from selling securIDs...

But I think this one is a keeper.

Distilled knowledge of what works for consultants

"142 Insider Marketing Secrets" pretty much sums up what's inside this great book. Although small (175 pages) it provides very detailed and specific recommendations.

Not all of the 142 secrets are earth-shattering, but there's more than 100 valuable ideas. The four authors compliment each other nicely. If I were to advise them before publishing I would have wanted only to read Bernard Zick's recommendations because he's such a whiz on marketing in this area. But surprisingly, I found the other authors to add significantly to the focus of the book as they had to face how to market themselves in their specialties.

This is a book that you will want to review at least annually, perhaps as you plan the next years activities. There are many unusual techniques or ideas in this book that I had not seen elsewhere.

Power Marketing for Consultants: 142 Insider Marketing Secrets Used by the Nation's Top Consultants, by Marjorie Brody, Allen D'Angelo, Bill Kerley, and Bernard Zick unveil the power marketing secrets that justify why top consultants are making four times as such money as average consultants and have more time to enjoy their own lives. The authors of Power Marketing for Consultants: 142 Insider Marketing Secrets Used by the Nation's Top Consultants (Power Marketing for Consultants) are all highly successful consultants who enjoy what they do and are highly respected in the consulting arena. Brody, D'Angelo, et al. have taken thousands of working hours over the last twenty-five years and clearly stated their marketing and consulting philosophy in their book. The authors' research has shown that there is a large group of consultants on the lower end of the success curve and those who fall among the nation's most successful consultants. Successful consultants are storyteller, magicians, and highly successful in their area of expertise. The "magic" that successful consultants seem to perform is a result of well organized and highly tactical "power marketing." Power Marketing for Consultants is organized into three major marketing topic areas: Power Marketing Strategies, Power Marketing Tactics, and Power Marketing Maxims. Within the three topic areas each one of the authors highlighted their own marketing issues and practices. Just as the title implies there are 142 tips or suggestions in the book; they serve as their own chapters within the three major marketing themes. It is easy reading and is very direct, nothing is held back. When comparing Power Marketing for Consultants to Peter Block's book Flawless Consulting, Second Edition I believe Brody, D'Angelo, et al's work to be more organized and targeted towards a more professional audience. The target audience reached by Brody, D'Angelo, et. al. are young professionals or those who trying to gain further success and insight in their own consulting career. Robert B. Cialdini, author of Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, noted that, "Power Marketing for Consultants provides a rich source of valuable experience and insights for enhancing the consulting process." The authors of Power Marketing for Consultants have many of the same goals as Cialdini, they are result driven and have determined the only real challenge in life is getting people to comply with you. Getting compliance can be done several different ways, however, Brody, D'Angelo, et. al made several marketing suggestions to help consultants establish and maintain both valuable and beneficial relationships. In the "Power Marketing Strategies-Strengthening Your Foundation," portion of the book there are several helpful suggestions made. For example, writing down your goals, make a marketing log, keeping money in the bank, and obtaining better clients are just a few of the helpful suggestions given. "Power Marketing Tactics: Powering It Up," section made reference to joining professional and community organizations, hiring a public relations professional, getting into cyberspace, networking with non-competitive consultants, serving as a Master of Ceremonies, and writing articles for professional journals. Lastly, Brody, D'Angelo, et. al focuses on "Power Marketing Maxims: For Enduring Success" here they reinforce how important it is to be reliable and responsible, having a good sense humor, and understanding the Law of Cause and Effect. Brody, D'Angelo, Kerey, and Zick have taken their insider knowledge to what has made them successful and laid it out on the table; their work in this book clearly mirrors their success in each of their various areas of expertise. The information available in Power Marketing for Consultants: 142 Insider Marketing Secrets Used by the Nation's Top Consultants, by Marjorie Brody, Allen D'Angelo, Bill Kerley, and Bernard Zick is practical, sustainable, and time tested. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in being respected among the nation's top consultants.

This is simply an outstanding book! Dr Ricketts brings unusual clarity of thought and writing style to this discussion of TOC concepts and the services business. I have read many TOC books. This is easily one of the top books in field.

Beginning with an excellent review of TOC concepts, Dr. Ricketts transports you to the services business. There, he surfaces the issues and challenges found in services environments and how TOC provides solutions. He displays a deep understanding of the many dimensions of services. One could buy this book for its educational value on services alone and not be disappointed. His presentation reflects both deep knowledge of services and clear understanding of how TOC can make it better.

Dr. Ricketts also provides excellent discussions of strategy development, change, and the elements of resistance to change. Then, there are other highlights too numerous to mention here. Rich in examples and illustrations, it was truly a pleasure to read this exceptional work!

A fine pick for both college-level business libraries and libraries catering to managers.

REACHING THE GOAL: HOW MANAGERS IMPROVE A SERVICES BUSINESS USING GOLDRATT'S THEORY OF CONSTRAINTS explains not only the basics of TOC, but how it improves business performance, using experiences from IBM research to document using TOC in services businesses. From its basic principles to applications in different areas of business, TOC is thoroughly covered including guidelines on how to implement in an existing organizational structure, making this a fine pick for both college-level business libraries and libraries catering to managers.

Thanks very much to John Ricketts for thoroughly accomplishing a very difficult task - mapping Goldratt's Theory of Constraints to a wide variety of services businesses. Goldratt's work has had its widest appication to the manufacturing world, but those of us in the services business have been speculating for years on how to apply the same concepts to the services business. Ricketts has done an admirable job in surveying the various services business models and showing how TOC can be applied to these businesses as well. As a trained TOC consultant, this now gives me a new set of openings for how to assist my services clients in attacking their critical constraints to improve their business results.

One relatively minor request - perhaps for a subsequent edition Ricketts will be able to include more real-life examples of how TOC has actually benefited various service organizations. While the little vignettes Ricketts includes in this work are helpful in exploring the potential application of TOC concepts to real world business problems, the work would have been even more compelling with some actual examples of their application. I guess we have all become so used to Goldratt's excellent use of the novel form in explaining the applications of TOC that we now expect this as a matter of course!

But overall, this is an excellent work which does a masterful job articulating the various applications of TOC to services - and I sincerely appreciate Ricketts' efforts to clarify this very important topic!

A keeper -

TOC has an outstanding record in manufacturing and here Rickett's has cleverly adopted the TOC applications and thinking to suit service industries. I know TOC well, I work in the services industry, and I've learned a lot from reading it. It is not (imho) an easy book for TOC newbies. I'd have liked a few more concrete examples - my mind works that way, and I hope John will add those in the 2nd edition. It's a very good book - I suspect in a year or so once the ideas have sunk in and I've tried them - that I'll be describing it as a classic.

A Brilliant Book on Greenleaf

This is a splendid book that beautifully captures the spirit, the ideas, and the intellect of an American giant in management thought. Don Frick is a masterful biographer whose grasp of his subject matter treats us to tantalizing pieces of information about Greenleaf even as he recreates the complex, often paradoxical mosaic of his life, artfully illuminating the man and the extraordinary legacy he left behind. Engaging, insightful, deeply fascinating and, ultimately, prophetic, this book is not about management in the 20th Century when its subject lived, but about managing in the Information Age of the 21st century. Fortunately, Frick's biography is no hagiography, which makes it all the more powerful, but the careful consideration of a man's life-a man who had a deep impact on society, yet who wrestled with inner demons and speaks to us out of his humanity. Frick gives us a feel for Greenleaf himself by inserting excerpts of his writings throughout the book, yet he never disrupts the continuity of the text. It's as if Greenleaf has whispered something in our ear at just the right moment. The real story here is not just servant-leadership, but what Greenleaf can teach us about living as well as about managing in today's turbulent environment. I can't get over how well Frick has told his story, how engaging he has made it, and how much he has to offer us in its pages. I enjoyed the biography immensely and am grateful to Don Frick for creating a comprehensive portrait of Greenleaf's remarkable life. The book is a pleasure to read as well as a exciting journey of the mind and spirit. Enjoy!

Ken Lay: Take Note

In the wake of the Martha Stewart and Ken Lay trials it is important to keep in mind that this behavior is the exception and not the rule. In my experience, the people who succeed in business are those who are aware of the contribution that they make to society. Robert K. Greenleaf: A Life of Servant Leadership sketches a history of the evolution of the concept of Servant Leadership, a concept that has been a cornerstone of thought for many great philosophers such as St. Francis, Lou Tzu, Confucius, Rumi and Gibran. The life of Robert Greenleaf is a living testimony to how the principles of Servant Leadership can be successfully applied to ones professional and personal life. From Greenleaf's example, we learn that effective leaders, lead out of service to their fellow man. Just imagine the strength of a business community that embraces this standard of conduct. The impact that Robert Greenleaf has had on corporate America is truly revolutionary. Robert Greenleaf was an enlightened, twentieth-century business executive practitioner and a twenty-first century visionary whose work is rooting in fertile ground in a global economy and WORLD PEACE!

The Secret of Success: "Service"

As a University Professor, what I really like about Robert K. Greenleaf: A Life of Servant Leadership is how well Don Frick reflected on the people, historical events and experiences that evolved Greenleaf's management style and ultimately the Servant-Leadership Philosophy. It is one thing to understand the concept but the richness of that understanding is greatly enhanced with an understanding of the experiences that supported Greenleaf's theories. I think the book will have a very broad appeal. It is a "How To: management book that comes alive in the form of a BIO. I think it will appeal to a broad audience. The Greenleaf bio with appeal to research scientists, because of how effectively Greenleaf understood the human factors of scientific research and how those factors drove results and the success of large corporate projects. Bob was a research scientist for ATT. Finally in terms of a broad appeal, this is a story of a man whose integrity and personal values were reflected in how a corporation managed a business. His priority in life was to serve his fellow man. The corporation can be tool of service and everyone benefits. It is a great contrast to the ENRON and TYCO stories in which the lack of integrity and personal values ultimately resulted in the demise of the company and the retirement funds of thousands of people.

This book is a labor of love and will likely stand for a very long time as the definitive biography of Robert Greenleaf. The author had access to Greenleaf's family and private papers. You will learn how and why Greenleaf was able to develop his ideas about leadership and their vital connection to altruistic service, stewardship and a higher standard of ethics in our world today. Frick relates how he grew up, what his family life was like, what his career in corporate America was like and how his unusual 'second career' as a writer and consultant shaped his thinking. If you wish to understand servant leadership, Greenleaf's gift to humanity, and perhaps our only true hope of finding the leaders we need to create a better planet, then you need to read this book. FIVE STARS EASILY!

The title of this book says it all--you CAN teach yourself HTML in a week using Ms. Lemay's step-by-step process. She begins with basics that any computer-literate user can apply, and she progresses through everything an HTML novice needs to know to construct a well-thought-out web site! My first pass through her tutorial took me a little less than a week, and now I keep this book beside me while putting my sites together. I was a COMPLETE HTML NEWBIE when I picked up this book...one month later I'm designing web pages as a sideline! That alone should make you read this book!

This book is divided into days, each day incorporating two chapters. Day one explains what a web page is, how to access it, the different types of layout for your web pages, and gives you information about the different types of browsers. By the end of day one you should have an idea of what you want on your web page and how you want it organized. Day two explains some of the basic HTML tags and also explains the anchor tag for creating links. Day three teaches you about lists, other formatting tags such as bold type and explains about HTML editors. Day four teaches you about Netscape and Internet explorer extensions and how to create tables. Day five teaches you about using images, sound and video in your web documents. Day six explains the Do's and Don'ts when creating web documents and gives you some examples of what type of information you may want to include on your web pages. Day seven helps explain how to find a web server and what it does, how to test your pages and advertise your site. You will also learn about what cgi scripts are and when to use them. This book also includes a bonus day. On the bonus day you will learn about forms and image maps along with what is to come in HTML 3.0. This book is a good starting place for someone who wants to learn to write web pages quickly and with good style and all the extras.

Very well written and sound advice

This is an extremely informative and well-written book. Building wealth is vitally dependent on legally reducing your taxes by forming companies and properly structuring your income between earned income and passive income. The author covers the various forms of company entities such as general and limited partnerships, S Corps, C Corps, and LLCs. I've read several books about corporate entities and this is the first one I've found with practical, real-world examples that explain why an S Corp is better in one situation, while a C Corp is better in another, and an LLC is better in other circumstances. I came away believing (rightly or wrongly!) that I actually understand the differences now. The author then builds on that and explain how you can use multiple entities of different types to create a solid asset protection plan. He gives an excellent example of how a actively traded investment account can be structured as a limited partnership (with brokerage accounts held inside it) and whose general partner is a corporation. I've noticed this same structure when reading annual reports over the years, and now I understand why this structure reduces liability and has very significant tax advantages.

There is much more than what I've covered here. I highlighted text on almost every page in the book. My highlighting ratio is the predominant factor of how high I will rate a book. I will continue to pull this book off the shelf and refer back to it.

I was really taken by just how vulnerable many of us are to attacks by lawsuits and other events. Asset Protection showed me a world that I never knew existed a world where greedy lawyers (who should be disbarred in my opinion) sue for a living. Actually targeting companies and individuals not because they did something wrong but simply because their assets were easy to get at. Once that target is found then an "offense" is "created".

A lot of the concepts I have heard of before but this book broke them down and made them simple to understand. I have already begun to shape my assets in line with the models in this book by working with my Lawyer and my Accountant both of whom have since bought a copy of this book and have begun to use it to discuss options with their clients. The list of missed tax deductions alone is worth a hundred times the cost of this book and I can not recommend it highly enough.

Everyone should read!

Asset Protection 101 is a book that everyone should read. We all know about corporations, LLC's, Revocable Living Trusts etc and we all know about law suits and being sued - but this book puts it altogether in an easy to read format that anyone can understand. If you want to save money on your taxes, if you want to keep from losing everything in a lawsuit, if you want to be able to pass on your estate to your family, without probate and with the least amount of taxes - then Asset Protection 101 is a "must reading" for everyone.

So much more than I expected!

I know a little about business entities since I own a small business. I was worried that this book would either be over my head, or too basic. I found that it did a fantastic job of covering the basics without seeming to talk down to me. I also got some great ideas and strategies to really increase my protection and dramatically cut my taxes. JJ Childers manages to make complex strategies digestible for those not versed in legal jargon, yet doesn't talk down to anyone with familiarity in the areas he covers. Since studying JJ's strategies, I find I can understand and speak with my CPA and attorney with more confidence and comprehension. I have also found that I can make better tax and legal decisions with my new knowledge and my tax and legal advisors were impressed with my understanding of the topics of asset protection, estate planning and tax reduction. Thanks, Mr. Childers!

This was a great book. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about starting their own business. I am a software consultant and business was not a topic I concentrated on in school. This book gave me the confidence and artillery to get out here on my own and do what I have done in the IT consulting industry for two years.

This is my first Nolo Press book. Fishman has written an excellent, concise guide for the self-employed. The book clearly explains legal issues and, when the going gets too complicated for this midlength book, refers the reader to other sources. I think it paid for itself in about 30 seconds. Ultimately it should save me thousands, or maybe I should say, thousands of hours of rummaging around.

This is far better than "Inc. Yourself" and some other books I've seen on the subject. Fishman is very sharp, and he must have character as well--otherwise why would he spend his time writing law books for the small entrepreneur? I hope he's flourishing wherever he is.

Why not five stars? I'm just fighting rating inflation . . . five stars ought to be for "War and Peace."

Excellent, covers all the bases
