Computer Graphics Books

This is avery good book, and the same used by colleges for certification training. I don't need to be certified, so I just bought the book, and will train myself. Well written and laid out to help the reader get through the complexities of the program. Sometimes seems too basic, but that is good for the book walks you through the basics to the complex steps. Don't skip the basics. AutoCAD 2007 is a major change from my version, 2000i, so this book is needed. Works well as a refresher too.

An interesting compilation of papers about computational design (I was particularly interested in "Designing a Shape Grammar") -- I would certainly recommend this book to anyone engaged in research on this topic.

Worthy of its name, At The Edge of Art does its share of risk-taking. It is a serious offering that fills a void in the theory and contemporary history of digital, networked practices and approaches. Simply put, this book is intellectual. It is ethical in its approach, communicating an obvious care and concern about there being a space for vital cultural works and workers who "hack" at the accelerating technological spectacle. (I have ordered the book as the required text for my digital theory and practice classes.)

Are you a software hobbyist? If you are, then this book is for you. Authors Stephen Cawood and Mark Fiala, have done an outstanding job of writing a book that provides all of the information that you will need to quickly start developing your own Augmented Reality (AR) applications.

Next, they show you how to create OpenGL applications. The authors also show you how to develop AR applications. They continue by showing you how to integrate ARTag into your OpenGL programming to create your own AR applications. Then, the authors show you how to use typical video game design flow to create 3D models in a specialized 3D program and then import them into the AR program you're writing. Next, they show you how to create a 3D AR video game. Finally, the authors also help you build upon the game you started to build earlier in the book.

This most excellent book provides detailed explanations of AR technology--even the math is explained. But, more importantly, the book will show you how to create your own AR applications, using nothing more than a PC and a USB 2.0 webcam.

Wow! This is really complete. It covers commands for drawing and editing, as well as plotting, 3D and customziing menus. Real drawings too - not boxes and circles and lines. I highly recommend this CD for new AutoCAD users.

As title suggestes this book is a complete reference. It explaines the things well. Gives a comprehensive coverage including examples. Good for beginners as well as advanced users. You want regret buying this book.

Out of all the AutoCAD Courseware manuals that I have evaluated, this manual is by far one of the best. The book has an easy to read and understand format. It is definately one of the most user-friendly manuals I have ever used to assist me in teaching and learning AutoCAD.

This book has made teaching AutoCAD a snap. This book is so thorough and so direct, it is the best I have ever used. After using this book I think I am definately going to stick with Technical Learningware Company books.

Once again the authors of this book have proven themselves worthy of emulation. They have created another one of the greatest CAD manuals I have ever used.

This is an excellent tutorial book for some advanced AutoCad functionalities.
