I saw a copy of this book at the V&A museum store in London and did not buy it then because I thought it was too expensive. I had to wait 6 months to find one used for sale and was thrilled to get it, even though it was about the same price as the new one I passed up. I am overjoyed with this book, which is the best, most complete visualization of the beautiful and varied works of a gifted professional artist. The repeating wallpaper images are wonderful. Loved the biography part as well. You need a copy of this one, even if you have thinner offerings of his works.

I did not purchase this book, but I did check it out from my library. I have to say that this is a great book displaying William Morris' textile and wallpaper designs in contemporary settings.

I have seen books that use William Morris' designs and the rooms are not fresh, but look dated. You won't find that in this book. The photos are rich in detail and gives readers great decorating ideas.

If you are a collector of William Morris' wallpapers or fabrics, or if you love beautiful interiors that blend contemporary with traditional, then I think you will enjoy this book.

Small quick reference

This is a small 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 ..1/4 " thick book. It covers the unfamiliar words, their meanings and pronouncing of, for the beginner witch. (love that it has the pronouncing - that can be the hardest part.
I gave it 5 stars because it is exactly what it saids it is. A handy reference guide of words deemed relevant to the author. You can get a large encyclopedia of more terms and words with indepth explanations as you progress in your studies. There are several in print. But this is a good starter, will not overwhelm, and easy on the purse.

An enchanting children's storybook

The Wizard Of Oz And The Magic Merry-Go-Round is an enchanting children's storybook set in the wondrous land of Oz and written by the great-grandson of L. Frank Baum, the immortal creator of Oz. Though featuring extravagant, full-color artwork, The Wizard Of Oz And The Magic Merry-Go-Round also sports an almost intermediate-level amount of text, and is an excellent exercise in reading comprehension for young people who are almost ready to graduate from picturebooks to more involved fare. A lively piece of music, "After the Ball", rounds out this delightful story especially recommended for young and old Oz fans alike.

The Wizards Daughter is focused on love not sex, so if you are looking for smut this is not your book. But if you are looking for fun, romance and a little fantasy I highly reccommend this book.

Reading this book was such an eye-opener. It made me identify areas of my life deeply influenced by my relationship with the first man in my life. The truth in its pages was crushing at times, but also a wonderful challenge.

At last, someone has written this book. The stories of women on both sides of the Nazi regime have been shoved aside and ignored for too long, leaving only the mythology of Eva Braun, Anne Frank, and Marlene Dietrich. But women were important participants in the war on both sides; on the front lines, in concentration camps, in espionage, in rescue and resistance. Cosner and Cosner's Women Under the Third Reich introduces us to one hundred women whose lives impacted history. Here you will meet an astonishing variety of women, from Yvonne Nevejean, who is said to have rescued up to 4,000 Belgian Jewish children from the Reich, to Irma Grese, the Beastess of Belsen, a prison camp warden known for her brutality. Each account is well researched and documented. Appendices which reference the women by role and by country of origin are a great bonus. Informative, well-written and lively, this book is a must for every serious student of history.

This book provides very useful information for those who would like a career with animals. It decribes dozens of animal related occupations, from animal sitter to zoo keeper. This book is excellent for all ages. It will give young people detailed information into the world of working with animals but also provide adults with invaluable work contacts. This book is worth the money just for the extensive listings of intership, volunteer and career opportunities.
