The Conference of the Birds is a marvellous book--a sufi treatise on the spiritual life written in Persian rhyming couplets. This translation is not in poetry, but in rather dull prose. In addition the translator leaves out a number of the stories that make up the bulk of the work. He mistranslates at a few crucial points.

I would recommend instead the extraordinary translation by Dick Davis and Afkham Darbandi. With great skill the whole work is translated into rhyming couplets like the original. Davis' rhythm and rhyme carry you through the work at a cracking pace, unlike the plodding prose of this version. Davis and Darbandi's translation is in the Penguin Classics series, ISBN 0140444343, also available from Amazon, where you can see a sample of their work.

A waste of money. Don't read this for any information on quail habitat.

This is not an 8000+ word article on die design principles. What you get is a one-page general information sheet about a seminar that was put on in back May 2000.

I'm sure that Amazon is not aware of what this really is once it is downloaded.

Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Michael Wynne spoke on transformational goals at a general session of the 2004 DoD Mentor-Protege Conference on March 16, 2004. This article is brief of a speech by Michael Wynne, taken from Defense AT & L Magazine, without illustrations. The illustrations seemed to carry a critical role in this article, so without the illustrations the value of the article is significantly diminished.

The title of this article is misleading. I thought that this paper is about business incubators. By a business incubator I understand a facility that aids the early-stage growth of companies by providing rental space, shared office services, and business consulting assistance. In this article, the word "incubator" only occurs in the title, and never in the text.

I have found this article during my research of the topic of business incubators, when I was involved in writing an academic paper about business incubators. For me, this article was of very little value. Instead of this paper, I can recommend "Business incubators and new venture creation: an assessment of incubating models" by Rosa Grimaldi, and Alessandro Grandi, published in Technovation, Volume 25, Issue 2 , February 2005, Pages 111-121, which identifies four (different) main types of incubators: Business Innovation Centres (BICs), University Business Incubators (UBIs), Independent Private Incubators (IPIs), and Corporate Private Incubators (CPIs). I can also recommend the book "Incubators: A Realist's Guide to the World's New Business Accelerators" by Colin Barrow.

The editor Bilson a lousy professor has published his research papers. Therefore this book will not help you learn FX.

All this is, is a description of a topic discussed at a seminar. There is NO value here! Why did I have to place the order to realize this? This product violates the implied warranty of "fitness for a particular purpose".

How do I get my $5.95 back?

It completely threw me! I bought it so as to not take up prayerbooks that might normally be used by people from out-of-town, but I was so thrown off and it felt a little....weird to read the thing from front to back. Maybe it was just my copy; I bought it ages ago so I'm not sure if I got used or new from Amazon.

Just go to a bookstore and pick one up; then you know if it's been printed to your liking.
