I bought the book for my son who is a student of the CIA, he loved the book!

I bougth this item for my toddler who is in Speech Therapy for delayed talking and comprehension. I wanted to find something that could help me to teach him and to practice skills when he wasn't at speech therapy. These cards are great. Each card not only has pictures, but also gives you sentances to use the pictures in, songs, etc. It is a wonderful tool for the baby/toddler that is not in pre-school. Although it is a bit pricey, I have not found anything else which offers so many different ways for the parent to teach their child at home. I give it an A+ and well worth the money if you aren't spending it on pre-school.

This is a fun book loaded with interesting and weird whimsical domestic devices. The fun is in trying to figure out "what the heck is that!!" This book is loaded with great photos and explanations of domestic devices such as: egg scales, foot warmers, sausage plungers, rug beaters, chimney cleaners, chicken catchers and more. You have a veritable feast of pictorial guessing games in this book. Test your knowledge of artifacts from America's past. It's great fun!!! And educational too. :0)

As an expert in innovation, this was a book long due in my library.

An easy read with tons of examples in and out of the ordinary, both authors bring their unsual background to the new world of global businesses. I greatly appreciate the fact that Maital is Israeli and Seshadri Indian, and most of their cases are filled with data and interpretation.

Each section brings a wealth of information, action points, learning tips, self-reflection and cases. it is not a typical Harvard like book, with a methodical approach that sometimes bores me.

It is a great book for 'out of the box' thinkers.

As the parent of my now 18-month-old daughter, I find this book to be a valuable resource in understanding infant development. Even though it is designed to help teachers build a curriculum for infants from birth to 18 months, I found the activities, the theoretical discussions and the assessment tools to be also very useful in a parent-child environment. Each chapter is content-based (me, Mommies and Daddies, Big and Little, Cars, Trucks and Trains. etc.) and provides various ideas to promote movement, literacy, music, sensory/art and curiosity. My daughter, my husband and I had tremendous fun implementing these ideas indoors and outdoors. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Straight from Microsoft comes this authoritative guide to the many ways you can use the tools developed for SQL Server 2005. The book documents an impressive build out of functionality, to make the administrator more productive. No doubt, in part, the book is also a competitive response to IBM and Oracle's database offerings.

For those of you interested in protecting your database against attacks, there is a useful section on surface area reduction. SQL Server comes with several services. Quite possibly, your usage might not need some of these. So you are shown how to turn them off. Lessens the risk. Plus, some services are accessible on the network. If you only need these accessible locally, then you can disable remote network access. Simple precautions that can improve matters. In fact, many of the features described in the book can be disabled, and often are, as a default measure.

The most powerful tools appear to be those for data mining, in the Analysis Service 2005. You can add custom logic, in addition to various algorithms that come with the service. The narrative also shows examples of graphics of the analysis, where various methods can be easily plotted. For some readers, the data mining is where you can add or find the most value to your data.

My impression is that you should not need to read the book sequentially. Just pick the sections that are germane. The chapters seem largely independent of each other.

This book gives a great overview, tool by tool, of what to look for when your in the market for a new power tool. It explains the terminology used in specs, reviews features that are useful, and gives you thoughts to consider when comparing different models. It does NOT make editor's recommendations, or recommend specific brands or models.

This book is a must for anyone getting their IA on their own, or anyone wanting to attain their IA period. Very concise, and full of everything you will need, from the interview with the FSDO, to taking the written.
