This book and the CDS are like getting an entire course in meditation and spiritual and emotional growth. Every one of the CD tracks has a really helpful tool on it. Some of the tools I now use on a daily basis. These things are keeping me grounded and sane during my stressful job at a law firm and some huge personal life transitions. I feel like I have my very own guru guiding me through life. Awesome stuff!

Citizen Muckraking is a "user friendly", step-by-step "how to" instruction manual for ordinary people to take on and win out over corporate and governmental abuses and corruptions. From utilizing the Freedom of Information Act to conducting interviews for effective investigative reporting, Essential reading for anyone seeking to redress a wrong or prevent a illegal, immoral, or dangerous action by someone or some group in a position of power and authority, Citizen Muckraking will prove an illuminating, inspiring, and practical blueprint for action.

This is the book I wish I had had when I first started teaching ESL/ELL students. This book is a valuable resource for the beginning teacher as well as the veteran teacher providing basic activities that can be expanded and adapted to meet the needs of the students. I highly recommend it.

Dresser and Rosenbaum have carefully put together a valuable resource for anyone involved in or considering clinical research. This is a complete guide to performing research for new clinical products that will help prevent many of the pitfalls that are easily encountered in this line of endeavor. The wording is precise and clear and the outline logical and easy to follow. This is the first and arguably best guide for performing accurate and meaningful clinical research. The authors' strong backgrounds in this field validates their methods and guidelines. An essential for the library of anyone involved in clinical research.

Recently the requirements for my processor design work have shifted from maximizing performance to minimizing power consumption. This new book from the authors of "Closing the Gap between ASIC & Custom" was published at just the right time. It follows a similar format as the previous book, but instead discusses the considerations involved in minimizing power consumption of processors. The authors again draw extensively on real-world chip design examples and have included contributions from a range of industry experts.

This is a book for chip designers and processor architects. It covers the contribution of and techniques to minimize power consumption from the major factors in processors of leakage, active switching, and clock tree. The book does not discuss the design of software or system hardware outside of processor chips such as batteries, displays, or transceivers.

As academics, the authors have insight into many leading edge design techniques and many companies' commercial chip designs. I know of no other book on low power design that is as deep or thorough a treatment of the subject as this one.

Just like the Whitman coin folders from when I was a child, good quality, fair price. Excellent option to hold a modest collection in the building stage, until you're ready to move your collection to a better quality folder such as Dansco.

A must for anyone in the tube bending industry. I used it extensively when I was a tool & die designer, and much of the esoteric information is just not available in any newer books.

This is a valuable tool if you collect letter openers. Lots of info with great illustrations.

This book covers about all aspects of woodworking! Very well written, too! I think it is geared towards beginners and intermediate woodworkers, with a list of the most used woods, with characteristics, and cautions for each different species. It also gives a basic understanding of each tool type, as well as their use and maintenence. I am fairly new to woodworking and this ahs been a great read for me! I highly reccomend it!

with clear color pictures and descriptive texts explaining the uses (workability, characteristics, common uses, etc) of a good majority of hard,soft and man-made woods this is a very comforting book.
Jackson & Day also explain the process of bringing timber to lumber and producing veneers. Althou this book is not exhaustive I feel this book is comprehensive yet instantly accessible to the layperson.
