I bought this and tried some of his scans. At first I was skeptical, but the scans did what he said. You can make excellent money doing this. Without a doubt, you should take a good, long look at this system. If you have an investor account, you should do it. I made 30% of my first investment. As for the negative review - ignore it!

If you enjoy fold & cut or paper crafts, this book is for you. It's very easy to understand and demonstrates one, two, three, & multi fold designs. My book was purchased in Japan when I was a child & has wonderful templates to help with designs. Although my copy is from the firt printing in '67 and I've never seen a newer version, I imagine they're all equiped with templates. In that this book dates back approx. 40 years, well before Klutz books hit the market, one of my favorite creativity type books, I think Isao Honda was ahead of the times. It's great fun, give it a try!

Data, data and more data - all well organized

While ETFs are increasing in popularity, there are few objective sources of analysis. Look no further than Morningstar's book. In a comprehensive, well-organized manner, the book provides you with information about the largest and most actively traded ETFs. The first part of the book provides an overview of ETFs and comparisons with traditional mutual funds (no new earth shattering information can be gleaned from this part if you are familiar with ETFs already). The main component of the book is a series of 1 page report for each ETF providing data on performance, style, holdings, and their analysts "take" on that ETF, among other data. The third part provides detailed tables on past performance of these ETFs and provides rankings. The book also includes a 2 week research "pass" to their ETF website.
Overall, an excellent reference source for ETFs for investors. Those familiar with their fund reports, know that Morningstar does not issue Buy/Sell reccomendations per se. (their paid stock and fund investor newsletter does that to an extent). For the price, an excellent resource. If you are considering investing "substantial" sums into mutual funds, ETFs may be a better choice, and this book should be where you begin and end your research.

A JOY TO READ
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2001-11-28
Caught between a plethora of beautiful picture books written by visitors who rush undigested material into print and scholarly tomes too pithy and densely packed with jargon to be understood by anyone, sometimes even the author, it is rare to find a book that is written by an academic thoroughly versed in her subject yet so enjoyable to read that it may as well be a novel. You will find Professor Willow Roberts Powers' "Navajo Trading the end of an era" a joy to read for its lively style, and you will gain an introduction to and an understanding of a complex period in our national history.
The text is enlivened with quotes from oral histories of Navajo Indians and traders who lived together through friendship and animosity, trust and fear, hardship and wealth. It is evident that Powers understands her subject from decades of contact and is able to outline the intricate social and political interactions that changed the lives of people in the Southwest in fundamental ways.
I know some of the people in the book, many are still alive, and even after years of contact I feel I know them better now that I have read their story as Powers writes it, casting light in the cobwebby corners of memory and bringing a time past into clear view. The era may have ended but the story and its people still live today in its aftermath.

Mavericks of black literature are the focus of these essays, considering such under-mentioned writers as J.A. Rogers, an early member of the Harlem Renaissance and pioneering journalist; and Vincent Carter, who lived as a voluntary expatriate writer in Europe. Out There is an intriguing and thoughtful account of a very unusual set of black writers.

A good introduction to neural nets and their applicability tothe futures markets. Provides mathematical/theoretical basis fortechniques involved in neural net training, testing, chaos and touches on nonlinear systems in general. Also provides interesting benchmarks of several nets against several time series. Great bibliography. Includes Fortran source code for running trained nets but not for training a net.

Although this book has the usual first edition imperfections, it stands out as the best book ever written so far on options and exotic derivatives. It is comprehensive and bears superbly the comparison with the other reference in the field, namely Hull.
