This book is a detail guide for people learning to use the GEneral NEural SImulation System, one of the best softwares for computational neuroscience. The presentation is clear enough for everyone, but it would be much helpful if the readers have a basic backgound on neuroscience and programming language C. Useful exercises are provided at the back of most chapters so readers can make practices immediately.

I think this book should be recommended to undergraduates studying neuroscience. There are many books in the field of neural biophysics and modeling. Students usually find it boring and not easy to comprehend. But this book accompanies a simulation software in the CD-ROM, using which students can easily control and visualize the electrical behaviour of a neuron. Professor Francis Boyle of the University of Illinois, Champaign, gave the 18th Annual Bertrand Russell Peace Lectures in January 2007 at the Centre for Peace Studies, McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. This fascinating book prints these talks - `Palestine, Palestinians and International Law' and `The National Campaign to Impeach President George W. Bush' - with an update to 17th October 2007 and reports of various campaigns to boycott Israel.

Boyle quotes Lord Russell's last message, of 31st January 1970, "For over 20 years Israel has expanded by force of arms. After every stage in this expansion Israel has appealed to `reason' and has suggested `negotiations'. This is the traditional role of the imperial power, because it wishes to consolidate with the least difficulty what it has already taken by violence. Every new conquest becomes the new basis of the proposed negotiation from strength, which ignores the injustice of the previous aggression."

Boyle shows how the US state assists Israel's efforts to maintain its illegal occupation. He notes that Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir said in 1991 that his strategy was to stall negotiations for the next ten years, to arrange countless meetings to prevent a comprehensive Middle East peace settlement. The Israeli state still follows this strategy, witness its participation in Sarkozy's fraudulent `Mediterranean Union'.

Bit the strategy of forcible intervention continues too. For example, in June 2007 the US and Israeli states organised General Dahlan's attempted coup against the democratically-elected government in Gaza.

Boyle also shows how the illegal US invasion and occupation of Iraq and its threats against Iran are jeopardising world peace. He demonstrates how the US state is promoting civil war in Iraq, so that Iraqis kill each other not Americans. Bush senior encouraged the Shia in the south and the Kurds in the north to rise against Saddam, to split the state into three parts and the US-written Constitution continues this effort.

Boyle urges the American people to impeach Bush and also to stop the Democrat-controlled Congress from voting more hundreds of billions of dollars enabling the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Recent polls showed that both these are popular demands: most Americans want to end the war and impeach Bush.

I have found this to be an invaluable resource when working with various groups in the field of education.

This is a lovely little (4x6) book full of many color and b&w photos of wonderful Bunraku puppets.

I have tried to find a book that talked about the Australian market and this is the best book that I have ever bought for that market. It contained all the information you need to get started. It also talked about the most common trading software and how to use it. The book is all about technical analysis. All in all, it is a great book for those who are looking for getting started in Aust market.

If you read only one book about trading, choose this book. Then read it several times.

If this book had been written and published this year, it would be highly touted, widely quoted, and the best seller within its genre.

Little is known about the authors. Consequently I suspect their names are pseudonames. My guess is that Richard Wyckoff is one of the authors. But maybe not.

The reprint includes a foreword by Don G. Worden.

The first ten pages alone are invaluable, covering training, ignorance, intuition, mental equipment, study, planning, paper trading, etc., not in some superficial and useless way, but providing practical advice that you can use.

Chapters cover

- market manipulation and how to recognize and take advantage of manipulation;
- recognizing stages of accumulation and distribution, then how to use that to your own advantage;
- tape (time and sales) interpretation;
- and so on.

The authors first give you concepts and reasoning, including recognition and interpret them, then tell you how to apply all of that, in practical, specific ways.

Even if you have many successful years trading and investing, this book is worth reading at least once yearly!

The book is very useful. It shows you the beginning of all business subjects. It's a great fundamental business book
