Memorabilia Books

The history of San Francisco is uniquely told in this beautiful book. The author lives in the Bay area and has had a long-standing regard for the city. The character of the old postcards is retained in the prints and will interest collectors and history buffs.
I recommend this book highly as one to display and enjoy repeatedly.

Scrapbooking has become such a huge hobby in the past few years. Thanks to digital photography and computer graphics and such, this once old time hobby has grown enormously popular in the 21st century. "Scrap your Stuff" from C & T presents 28 different scrapbooking ideas for anyone, from the beginner or to the old pro.

For example, capture the birth of a new baby, not just with photos, but also by including a copy of the baby's footprints, their hospital wristband, birth record and more. These "Day in the Life" ideas also include suggestions such as remembering the first day of kindergarten or the first trip to the zoo. Other ideas include "Family Pride" or "Generations Long Ago" where you can celebrate an ancestor's military career, or commemorate the opening of a family business.

Some more wonderful ideas include creating scrapbooks to celebrate holidays or family vacations. The section on "Kid's Stuff" includes ideas for capturing that big youth sports season or a trip to a professional sports game or rock concert. All of the ideas are quite fun and easy to do. Outstanding full-color photography accompanies step-by-step instructions, full materials lists, and tips on where to buy materials. A must have for anyone who is into scrapbooking!

This is a great reference manual. Covering items like toys, games, dolls, skis, ornaments, posters, ceramics and even snowboards, I think it would appeal to anyone with an interest in skiing or collecting. It is a must have for anyone that has or collects any old ski related items. It has a complete pricing guide and is just packed with many colorful photos. A+++!

This was an extremely informative, and well written review of the field of space memorabilia. The writer brings a deft touch and fine insights to the topic. And trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

My husband and I know one of the authors, Tim Mierzwa, personally. He told us in August of 2005 that he had a book coming out about fishing lures and other equipment. We weren't sure what to think. But when we received the book recently, my

this book covers all sports and is very easy to follow.

If you have anything related to sports (besides baseball cards), this book is excellent. I used it for some old sports magazines from the 1950's on eBay. It was a great for getting ideas on how much things are worth.

Enthusiastic sports memorabila collectors will absolutely love this book. It is a perfect reference before buying or selling any items on auction sites such as Amazon.com and eBay as well as consginment sites like Zshops and Starshows.com. The book provides many great pictures of all sorts of memorabilia. It covers a complete list of sports from boxing to wrestling. It includes extensive listings of autographs, equipment, figurines, team publications, ticket stubs, bottle caps, programs, magents, and even matchbooks. I found out that a 1951 Phillies yearbook I have is worth $400. One of the most enjoyable things that any sports nut would like is the entertainment you can get just paging through and looking at the pictures. I found myself doing that and saying to myself, "Yeah I remember that". This book does not have a plot but is loaded with lots of memories and history.

Ralph Pickard's new book on Stasi decorations and memorabilia is a must have for any serious East German military insignia collector. Ralph's painstakingly researched work is a groundbreaking effort to codify Stasi decorations by the unique certificates that were issued for each medal over the years. It contains numerous color photos of medals, certificates and detailed time lines of issue as well as period photos of recipients. It's the only reference in English that covers this area so throughly.

Great images from the often overlooked Surf Art category. I always wonder why Graffitti art seems to get more play in books & publications than surf art. Surf Art is a huge part of the surfing culture, a huge element of the lifestyle, depicting it, and making it more intriquing. I really enjoyed the book, and I like that it's a paperback, too.
