Memorabilia Books

This easy to read book was informative and clearly written. I enjoyed the step by step process of making the trading cards and never realized that so many people were involved in making choices and decisions. I also enjoyed the many pictures of recognizable sports figures. I will add this book to my classroom library and give this book as a gift to others. I was really impressed with the interesting non-fiction form, and after reading it to my class; handed each of my students a trading card. What an exciting day that was for them. I absolutely love the "Made in the USA" series, and hope to add more to my collection.

The price tag is expensive for a 120-page paperback and so will limit this reference to only the most avid collector - but that collector will find Masonic Memorabilia to be most invaluable and unique, justifying its price with the author's 40 year background in antiques and specialty insider's knowledge of Freemason collectibles. Most items of china, glass, jewelry, books and more are from Jackman's collection: George Perrott edits the survey and Masonic Memorabilia also includes an invaluable price guide for would-be collectors, plus plenty of color photos. Invaluable.

This is a book about the descendents of Abram (born October 16, 1757) and Rosanna McConnell (born March 18, 1764). It includes children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren, all those known down to 1981 when it was published. It has over 1000 photographs and biographies of McConnell relationships. The author spent over 40 years in research.

As this book demonstrates, mathematicians are far more quotable than the stereotype would indicate. Their craft is unusual in the sense that it is the most fundamental reality that we have. Some have argued that the only two areas where these is absolute truth is in religion and mathematics. Once something is proved, no matter how counterintuitive it may appear, it is true, end of discussion.

As a long-time collector of sports memorabilia, which has to include the New York Yankees, this is a superb book for beginners and experts. While would be virtually impossible to cover the long history of the Yankees in one book, this one does an excellent job. The articles on various aspects of collecting Yankees memorabilia are very thorough and will give anyone much needed direction on how they should proceed with their interests in this team. Wish they could have had more on the earlier memorabilia (pre 1970s) but it does have to be compelete through the years. This should be on the top of any sports memorabilia collectors "want list".

This book is filled with great information about Elvis' music and other memorabilia. I bought mine at Graceland in 1999 and after seeing the current prices, I'm glad I did. It is a treasure trove of trivia and details about the great variety of music that was published when Elvis was alive and in the years following his death.

It is highly unusual for a book featuring a story of terror of the worst kind engendered by a serial killer and for such a story to be coupled with a love story. That's why I enjoyed the book, the odd mix of subjects. It's that simple. I won't say more, as I don't want to spoil the book for others.

Again, it was so scary that I had to stop reading it at several points. I love it when a book scares me so much that I have to put it aside until I can once again deal with it!

This is my second read by this author, and I'm going to collect all of her books.

This is a beautiful book for anyone who is a racing fan. It has color photos of artwork and memorabilia surrounding racing. Would make a great gift for a horseracing person. Very informative and well written.

This book is extremely comprehensive. Every magazine you could ever want to know about is listed in here. I highly recommend it. There are also great inserts on collectable posters and bands like Kiss, The Doors, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Annette Funicello, Buddy Holly, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, The Buckinghams, and Rod Stewert.
