This is such a great story. It tells about how a child uses his imagination and a box of crayons to turn a rainy day into a bright, fun filled one. The pictures are so colorful. I highly recommend this book. I wish it sold as a board book, so I could let my 1 1/2 year old turn the pages.

This is a wonderful way to capture the things about your child that make him/her truly unique. The book gives you the chance to have some special one on one time with your child, and to learn things about your child you might not otherwise. Highly recommended!

My Messy Closet: A Totally Gross Flap Book

This is one of the best Flap Books I've ever read. Nolan has done a wonderful job of writing in prose while telling the funny yet gross adventure of a little boy cleaning out his over-crowded closet. Written in first person, the little boy finds things like smelly socks and weeds in his hiking boots, to his mom's picnic basket still completely full with the goodies (now rotten) from last time they went to the park.

Children will love the colorful illustrations by Roos and the fun, but gross flip outs on each page. The book is also designed to open like a closet door and you flip sections of the closet for each page. When you get to the end there is a pop out surprise!

This book is a great gift for the beginning reader in your life or to a wonderful teacher for story time. Kids of all ages will enjoy this totally gross flap book.

So much fun!!!!

Jan Ozer has done it again. A well written, easy to understand book is a "must have" for anyone using MyDVD. Book has lots of visuals and is written in such a way that even the average user will be able to use MyDVD to the fullest in no time at all. Very reasonably priced also. Two thumbs up!

MyDVD is now a complete product!

An absolute must for MyDVD users. Where Sonic has done a great job in software design, it has failed terribly in documentation. Ozer has filled that gap with a book that takes you from A to Z with easy flow and great use of screen captures. Highly recommended. It is the documentation Sonic should have included with its product.

If you have bought box set one, its time for this box set. If this is your
first box set, that's fine, because , despite the numbers, there is no
order. Books 5-8 are another trip into the choose your own adventure world
full of danger & excitement, victory & defeat, and most of all choices.
Kids will devour these books. Its not the Art, which is excellent. Its not
the Writing, which is Fun and interesting. It's the choices. Kids eat up
the ability to pick their own path, and love the ability to go back and do
it again. A warning though, But this box set and you might need to buy the
Third!

This is by far my favorite english book I've ever had! The content is organized so well that it's incredibly easy to find whatever you're looking for. I didn't even have to really read anything because I could so easily find what I was looking for. Very nice! The language is simple, concise, not inflated, and straight to the point. Very easy to understand.

Excellent first book from Nick Butterworth introducing the kind, lovable character Percy the park keeper. A fun story in which Percy is visited by animals in the park, who all need a place to sleep because of the cold. Lots of fun here, as Percy lives in a little hut which soon becomes crowded. Have fun with animal voices as you read to your little ones. Cute surprise at the end as a strange noise is heard... the animals are scared, then they find out it's only someone they all know. Charming pictures that please parents and children, lots to look at and a blast for you to read with a little one.

Warmth of friends on cold winter days complete with hotchoc.

I bought the book merely just looking at the pictures, they are so beautiful. The story itself, even better: based around a circle of friends of Percy the park keeper on a cold winter night. You can see and feel the warmth of Percy's house that he shares with all his friends. Easy to read and mix with soundeffects that children love and easy to follow for as yound as one year olds. Our book is falling apart from overuse but we just cannot put it down. The book is a part of four seasons on the Park. Same friends later appear in other stories that we love; the other books represent spring, summer and autumn.

ESOL/FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER IN MIAMI, FL

ESOL/FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL.

THANK YOU and BRAVO!!!!!!! Or should I say, "OLÉ."
As a mother of semi-bilingual children and as a public school teacher of ESOL and foreign languages at the grade school level in Miami, FL., I am thrilled to have come across your products...which I now use at home and, occasionally, in the classroom. My young children and students are captivated by the colors and images and readily absorb the basic vocabulary presented and are now better able to distinguish their use in the different languages (English - Spanish of HOUSE-CASA) ...undoubtedly the combined audio and visual stimuli meet the needs and interests of the computer literate, video-game oriented youngsters. I have recommended the purchase of HOUSE-CASA to parents of elementary school children with limited English proficiency (LEP, recent arrivals to our land-pais) and also, to parents of monolingual/English-only children who wish to help their youngsters establish a foundation for Spanish and other languages. I believe the earlier a child is exposed to other languages the better the chances or aptitude for learning various languages (multilingualism), general vocabulary and writing skills. Too bad you weren't around 15 years ago when I first started to teach in this multilingual environment...but, please, keep up the good work and get some more titles out for pre-school and kindergarten... ASAP ... French and Haitian Creole would be ideal for Miami!!!!! And get more support materials on the shelf: books, posters, games, etc.

Gracias y mucha suerte! (Thanks & good luck)

Sincerely,
Lourdes Ines

Both of my kids enjoy this book. My 4 1/2 year old uses it to learn the spanish words and my 1 1/2 year old uses it to learn his first words. The pictures are engaging to both kids and this book keeps them occupied for quite a while. We may even have to buy a second copy since often times they both want to read it at the same time! I also highly recommend the accompanying video/dvd which the kids enjoy equally as much.

A great book for kids _and_ parents

Review Date: 2005-02-07
Our four year-old daughter loves this book, and so do we. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the few supplies it calls for are really the ones you'll need, and if the masks don't look exactly like the illustrations, they look great anyway! My husband and I have had _way_ too much fun making these with our daughter.

There are *many* different animals represented, enough to keep us busy for a few years. This book is great for younger kids who love animals, as the pictures are fun to look at, even without making the masks. The book will be great, too, as they grow older and begin reading about Native American myths and legends. There are stories and descriptions attached to each animal mask. However, they are easy to pass over if the child is too young to read or if they are too "boring" for an active toddler or preschooler. I can't recommend this book enough.

Outstanding AND Easy

My 5-year old son checked this book out from our local library. My initial thought was ... oh great another craft that will take up MY time and I'll have to invest money in tons of stuff just to make one. I was wrong. The masks were simple to make, took just a few minutes and I already had everything needed to make one. My son could do the majority of the cutting AND the measuring!!! Best of all, they turned out soooooo cool that even my 9-year old made some of the masks for a cub scout project.

Step by step the journey is completed

Little One Step is far from home with his two older siblings. His legs are wobbly and he wants his home by the river and his mother. Big brother tells him to count his first step, "one", then his next as "step". With a few reminders from his brother, Little One Step completes his journey. This is a charming story. A gentle reminder that every journey, and the solution to a difficulty, begins with the first step, and is accomplished one step at a time. It is a simple tale of encouragement for any child who is facing a challenge. Soft watercolor and ink drawings are a beautiful compliment to the story.

A little duckling is lost and frightened - but by putting one foot in front of the other he learns a new strength and finds in himself a new ability to undertake a frightening journey. Little One Step is a very simple book with large words, easy pictures, and encouragement to kids to take one step at a time when facing something frightening or new.
