I have read a lot on EVP's lately and this book really capped off a lot of questions that I had. If you are interested in the subject this is a great reference book and gives all of the history on EVP. A book I will keep for a long time to reference to.

When I read this book I delved into the unknown, and I think that it's interesting and informative. I had never heard of electronic voice phenomena, or anything like it. It was simple enough for the casual information gatherer (like myself) and, I felt, advanced enough for an expert. It makes you think about the blend of technology and simplicity that is behind a message and makes you wonder if you really could receive those messages too. I was impressed with the authors ability to bring an unknown subject into the mainstream effectively; and, make you want more. Very nicely done!

Finally, Scientific Evidence

Read this easy to read book to develop your own scientific evidence to prove the continuity of life in another expression following the change called "death."

After reading it, I am ready to get out my tape recorder and have a try at it. The instructions given are easy to follow and encourage one to develop their own techniques.

We need to remember that those in the "spirit realms" are just as anxious to communicate and those in this physical. Read the truly amazing examples of those who have met with success. My favorite story is the one about the "talking coffee pot"!

This is the first book I've read on the topic of EVP, and I was absolutely blown away!

Although I've been an avid reader of all things in the "metaphysical" realm, I had actually never heard of the use of technology to communicate with the spirit realm - until I read this book.

One day as I happened to be flipping through the channels, I caught a segment of a talk show where Tom Butler was discussing this techniqe and stated that he had just written a book on it. I immediately went to Amazon.com and ordered it. At first I thought that the book was a bit expensive - but after reading it, I must say that the information included is truely invaluable!

The authors not only give examples of EVP, but they also provide detailed information to help other's get results via this method (as well as methods using a video camera & TV).

This is an excellent read for anyone with an interest in the "paranormal" - an open mind is a must!

An inspirational Gem

This book is a gem! It is fabulous. It is simply amazing - and it is inspirational! Why? Because communicating with those who crossed over is the greatest discovery in human history!
With absolute certainty the most important question in this world is whether or not we survive physical death. The consequences are enormous. There is nothing as important, nothing as critical and nothing as urgent in the world than knowing that we continue to live in the afterlife.

Tom and Lisa Butler's book is revolutionary in that in a materialist world of to-day, there is an urgent need to remove the fear of death, to satisfy the curious and the skeptic that the afterlife is no longer a matter of `belief' but now is a matter of empirical - objective - evidence.

People want proof about the afterlife. People want guarantees - people want highly credible material to reveal to them how to be given absolute guarantees and guidelines that the afterlife is a certainty and that there is absolutely nothing to fear about physical death. Spirit voices on tape - the Electronic Voice Phenomenon and electronic communication from the otherside (Instrumental Transcommunication)- have now been universally accepted and have given us clear evidence that our loves ones who crossed over still care for us.

I very strongly recommend this book. I am so thankful for Tom and Lisa Butler for making a most wonderful contribution to mankind! I sincerely believe the book should be compulsory reading at school and by everyone who wants to be given assurances that we survive physical death and that we will inevitably meet our loved ones who crossed over - love being the most powerful force in the universe!

Ever since my son was about five years old, his love of football was apparent to all who knew him. His talent in the sport sparked the interest of many colleges. Touchdown provided my son with the tools necessary to understand and navigate through the recruiting process with ease. Thanks to the help of Touchdown, my son is currently starting at Ohio State and loving every minute of it.

If you play football or know someone who does, then this book is for you. It will teach you all you need to know to play on the best college teams and help you decide if you have what it takes to make it to the pros. This book will also help parents of high school ball players, too. Although my opinion will be biased, as Ed Locker is my son, I truly believe if you love the game of football, then you will enjoy reading this book.

For someone who had no prior knowledge of the recruiting process, Ed's book was a real treat. It was especially helpful having a professional like Jurevicius add his commentary. The only suggestion I have is to include a picture of the author inside the back cover so the public can see the genius that put this work together.

Ed Locker has made the world of college football that much easier to navigate. In an age of corupt recruiting practices and broken promises, this book helps high school kids make the right decisions concerning what colleges to attend to play football, and how to go about catching the attention of those schools they want to be recruited by. I should know, I am a scholarship player at the University of Notre Dame because of Mr. Locker's book. Thank you Eddie!

As CEO Coach, Poet and author of a leadership book that helps leaders unleash their genius and the genius of their teams and corporaions, I find Touching Peace to be one of the most profound books I have ever read. In his book he says, "Our true home is in the present moment. To live in the present moment is a miracle. The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green Earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now. Peace is all around us-in the world and in nature-and within us-in our bodies and our spirits. Once we learn to touch this peace, we will be healed and transformed. It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice. We need only to find ways to bring our body and mind back to the present moment so we can touch what is refreshing, healing, and wondrous." This quote is at the foundation of everything I have and will write. Experience this one. Paul David Walker. Unleashing Genius: Leading Yourself, Teams and Corporations

Touching Peace... was one of the first books I read by the author, and I was quite impressed, and have gained a sincere respect and appreciation for Buddhism. Thich Nhat Hanh writes in a simple, uncluttered, informative style that keeps the reader excited about reading the book, while experiencing a state of calm awareness of the present moment. While I don't necessarily believe in everything the author presents, (diet) I can now understand the thought process that goes into such beliefs.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a fantastic writer. When I first developed an interest in Buddhist teachings, I was a little reluctant to pick up a lot of books for fear that they would be 150 pages of obscure metaphores. In Thich Nhat Hanh's case (especially with this book) he brings a sense of friendship to the reader from the first couple of pages. Also, he makes what he's writing about very undrstandable. I don't really read very much at all, but I finished this book the night after I bought it. Excellent in all aspects.

This was a really good read for several reasons. One reason i gave it a 5 is that the authors personality is strong throughout the book, as if he were in the room. This makes for a great read that is more like a friendly chat than anything. Another great part of this book is the emphasis on mindfulness. If you like this part of the book, you may want to check out Jiddu Krishnamurti's works as well. But the best thing i found about this book was the Sangra (or community) building section. Our happiness does depend very much on other people, so living in peace with the people close to you is very important. This book shows how to make the most of each others presence and our lives.

Garry Marshall is a true gem in Hollywood. He is a beloved and respected producer/director/writer/actor who never takes himself too seriously to appreciate life and his family and friends. In his own humorous way, Garry tells his story from his humble beginnings to his incredible career in TV and film. He has worked with some of the top actors in Hollywood and it is a total delight to read about the behind the scenes making of HAPPY DAYS, MORK AND MINDY and LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY along with his films BEACHES, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY, NOTHING IN COMMON and PRETTY WOMAN. Garry tells it like it is and doesn't hold back when talking about actors and studio executives. He also admits to his fondness for nepotism. Good timing and luck put Garry in the right place at the right time and he shared his good fortune with his sister Penny Marshall by helping launch her career. The book is filled with insight and revelations. Garry's anecdotes are too humorous to miss. How did they come up with the famous opening for LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY? How did he come to cast Robin Williams and Pam Dawber in MORK & MINDY? Despite budget restraints, Garry was able to create a very memorable opening for Bette Midler in the film BEACHES. It's fascinating to read how Garry created some of our most beloved TV shows and films. When a problem arose with a production, Garry found a solution. He never hestitates to admit to his failures and mistakes and never fails to give credit to others who have supported him. WAKE ME WHEN IT'S FUNNY is inspiring and a great motivator for anyone trying to aspire in any field...not just TV or film. Garry's honest and down to earth insight will leave the reader wanting more.

Pretty Woman has been my favorite movie since I saw in in the theater at the age of fifteen and since then Garry Marshall has been my favorite director. But Garry proved what a great person he is when I attended a book signing for this book back in 1995. I was only twenty, and pretty much the only young woman in line. Most of the people in line were young men giving him treatments, which really disgusted me. But when I finally got up there I just stared at him, the first thing he said to me was that I was very pretty, so I started crying like the girl that I am. He held my hands and just smiled at me, and I told him that Pretty Woman was my favorite movie and thanked him for making it and told him that I wanted to be an actress, so he signed my book "Andrea a very Pretty Woman here's hoping you Happy Days as an actress." that made me cry as well:) His daughter Lori was also very sweet which just proves what a great dad he is as well.

As for the book, of course it's fabulous! You get to learn behind the scenes info on, of course Pretty Woman, but all his other shows and movies as well. His sense of humor cracks me up, especially when he overheard someone talking about Exit To Eden saying "That movie was so bad he doesn't deserve to be Penny Marshalls father!" I laughed SOO hard at that. Not to mention that you can't help but love a director who thanks his wife at the end of every one of his films.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the ends and outs of the entertainment industry from a vetern who knows what he's talking about!:)

Up there with "Harpo Speaks" for all-time feel-good bios!

This book is a joy! Garry Marshall is a fine writer of jokes for stand-up comedians of yore, sitcoms &, apparently, of full-length show biz autobiographies. He discusses his life in an extremely entertaining way. His asides - about moviemaking, camerawork & tips on the directing/producing process - are enjoyable for everyone, not just aspiring filmmakers. There are (truly) laugh out loud sections as well (Two Words: Kathi Wathi)...this is a man who seems to live his life with passion & decency & drive, ALWAYS with the added bonus of humor. Yes, he dishes the "dirt" about his celeb peers, but in a completely non-malicious way. Best of all, here's a man who accomplishes much but doesn't take himself too seriously. Good-humored, good-hearted, crisply written & hilarious. Can't recommend this book highly enough!

A most amazing book about a most amazing man. Follow Mr. Marshall's assertive and generally hilarious approach to breaking into the world of comedy writing - and beyond. The book is a bit of a family affair (forward by sister Penny Marshall, and co-authored by daughter, Lori) chronicling his often hysterical trek from an allergy-laden childhood to the life of a very successful actor, writer, producer, and director. I've had the unique pleasure of meeting this man in person, and he truly is as determined, grounded and compassionate a man as this book reflects...all with that sparkling sense of humor!

For those of you new the the series, yes, the manga and anime known as "Wedding Peach" (WP) looks a lot like "Sailor Moon" (SM). Why? Well, not only is it a typical magical girl shoujo (such as "Magical Girl Pretty Sammy" and "Tokyo Mew Mew"), but the producers of Sailor Moon have actually worked on the series. I also find WP different in that it has a more focused storyline (saving love versus saving the whole universe), fewer magical warriors, and one singular body of evil. So, if you enjoy SM or like series but want something more digestable, I highly recommend WP.

As for the sixth volume, I admit, it was rushed. Nao Yazawa, the creator, admits it to being rushed. And frankly, I like her honesty. I do not see many manga writers that own-up to such things; at most, I see them tip-toe around the subject. (Of course, this could just be my experience; if you've read of others that have acted similarly, be thankful.) That being said, the storyline is wrapped up well with a mix of drama, action, and a fitting happily ever after.

I love Wedding Peach, and when I found out it was being published into the English language, I was pshyced! I've been into Wedding Peach for about three years, and I never thought it would make it to the USA, but it has. Anyways, this manga was pretty good. It is obvious that it wasn't translated from the original Japanese version, but from the German version because there seems to be german words in the backround scenes that are supposed to be sound effects...kind of strange. Other than that, its worth buying. I definately recomend!

This is the volume that actually jump starts the Wedding Peach plot. Before was a very long introduction and character establishment. Now that it has passed, volume three sends the Love Angels into understanding the history of the war they're fighting and comprehending how important their role is. Though the story doesn't become darker, it's a bit somber at times (especially in later volumes) which, I think, most will find refreshing.

Volume three is a reward for getting through the first two, and a nice passage into the final volumes that are definitely worth reading (especially if you've come this far).

It's about a boy named Julius Zimmerman who thought he was going to have a good time this summer,Wrong! He had to baby-sit and take French lessons not what he expected. He had to baby-sit a boy named Edison Blue a three year old who is not even potty-trained! He also had to take French lessons which he knew nothing about he didn't even know his own name in French. While children love reading fantastic stories of dragons oraliens or dinosaurs, that doesn't mean they don't also enjoy readingbooks featuring kids just like them.

Or, in the case of the popular Arthur books, aardvarks just like them. Arthur's New Puppy is the eighteenth book in the best-selling series. It follows the misadventures of the lovable aardvark as he attempts to housebreak his bouncy puppy Pal.

Children seem to identify with Arthur as he struggles with everyday problems with the help of his loving parents (and no help from his pesky little sister, D.W.) and friends.

If you have an Arthur fan in the house, or if you have a new puppy in the house, you'll want to check out this book.

Trust me, this book is a heck of a lot more entertaining than it appears to be via that old adage about book covers. Still, I must admit those crazy old Southern names and those exressions on the characters drew me into what turned out to be a truly hilarious story that the working class will appreciate--at least the babies and puppies of the working class folk. The prose demands to be read with a western or southern accent and the names are so stereotyped I cracked up. But under the whole stylized theme was an extremely sweet story about the true meaning of friendship. Hilariously written and adorable.

Bubba is a baby and Beau is a dog. Like the title of the book says they are best friends! They have so much in common. They both are very loud, they don't like baths, they chew on everything and they both crawl on all fours! Join them for all of their adventures!

The illustrations were cute and the cover caught the eye of our 3 and 1 year olds.

It's a quick read. Perfect for the lap sit age!

Bubba & Beau May Become Your Child's New Best Friends

Appelt's funny and charming tale of the almost simultaneous birth and budding friendship between a boy named Bubba and a puppy named Beau is heartwarming and enchanting. With no apparent idea that they are different species, these naïve babies" bond over their shared first traumas - i.e., the laundering of their beloved "blankie" and their own first baths. Howard's simple charcoal and watercolor renderings of Bubba and Beau could capture the heart of the most hardened soul. Their eyes, expressions, and movements are all enchanting. Howard's equally charming and amusing renderings of the human and dog parents and the Texas ranch where the story takes place provide the "icing on the cake." The result is a book that oozes with life, warmth, security, friendship, and love. Child judges awarded it the 2002 Irma Simonton Black and James H. Black Award for Excellence in Children's Literature. To accommodate short attention spans, Appelt has even broken the story up into five well-defined chapters. Readers wanting more of Bubba and Beau will not be disappointed - there are already two sequels, Bubba and Beau Go Night Night and Bubba and Beau Meet the Relatives. Highly recommended for ages 18 months to 4 years.

A Mother Knows...

My child and I read a story from this book every night before going to sleep; some were sad, some were sweet, and some were funny.
I remember nights when we cried over some of the stories, and others when we laughed loudly.
Our favorite story is titled:" a mother knows", which describes how a mom can always feel when something is wrong with her child, even from a distance. The lovely part is at the end when the daughter feels that the mother needs her and she will be there saying:" a daughter always knows".

Very sweet and touching book, my daughter will read it one day to her kids.....

I received this book from my mother-in-law as a Christmas gift during my daughter's first year of life. I love picking it up when I have a few minutes to read a quick story. I wish I had the talent to write the way these women do, but until I master that I am going to give my mom a copy of this book and highlight the parts that best describe my feelings for her. There are going to be a LOT of marks. I love this book.

The stories in this collection are gems that every mother can relate to. If you're a mother or a daughter this book is definately for you. The stories will make you laugh and cry and, best of all, you'll recognize yourself in many of the pages. Five stars! Debbie Farmer, parenting author of 'Don't Put Lipstick on the Cat'

This book is fantastic. The inside story of the remaking of TV news (for the better!) by Primo would alone be worth the time, but it is the stories and anecdotes about the reporters that makes this book impossible to put down. With many laugh out loud moments along the way, you will be sorry when this one ends.

Eyewitness Newsman is a pleasure. I've been recommending this book to everyone I know.

I have enjoyed reading about how the most copied news format ever was born. The chapter on Geraldo was real insight into how he came to be so famous. Anytime I can read about the ego maniac Howard Cosell, I take advantage.

If you are interested in how your local TV newscast gets put together every night, this is the book for you. Mr. Primo was the inventer of contemporary TV news, and his book is a concise and easy to read history written by someone who was there, and who was responsible for many of the innovations which make TV news interesting and relevant.

As a bonus, the book includes inside information on some familiar names Primo worked with including Geraldo Rivera, Howard Cosell, and Tom Snyder.

Eyewitness Newsman should be required reading for anyone interested in the Television News Business.

Al Primo provides insightful analysis on news coverage. For example, it highlights some priceless examples of how to beat back the competition in this cut throat line of work. It is also quite instructive on how to grab at viewers and build brand loyalty. How Primo created both the Eyewitness News format and an exceptional, although quite eccentric, team of reporters is very entertaining to boot.

This book is hilarious. Tells the story behind the story of how a motley crew of news reporters changed the way TV broadcasts news. Some like Geraldo Rivera, Howard Cosell and Joan Lunden went on to become broadcast icons. The stories about Geraldo threatening riots in the street, Howard Cosell's missing toupee, and Roger Grimsby's outragegous one the air cynical snipes at other reporters left me in stiches.

Al Primo was the maestro behind the scenes. Not only did he provide the innovative approach that moved news away from the set piece studio with stilted empty suits "reading" the news in front of camera, he had his hands full herding the cats... Not to mention tempering the inflated egos of his new breed of diverse, in your face, reporters. Before cable and reality TV there was "Reality News," thanks to Al Primo and the Eyewitness News Team.

A most enjoyable read.
