Anyone who has worked for Radio Shack, or retail in general, will relate. Fans of Star Trek: TNG will love it. If you are both, prepare for some of the most appreciated moments in parody.

My nephew is only 18, knows nothing of Star Trek, and has never worked retail, yet he loves this series. Feedback from others has proven very positive. With that said, keep in mind I am strongly biased toward this series.

The short chapters become progressively better and are just hysterically odd. You have to wonder why famed chef, Emeril "Bam" Lagasse is in this series. But you will agree his oblivious presence serves up lots of laughs.

Chuck Norris truly lives up to his litany of Internet jokes as the ultimate god-like schmuck - A "District Manager Q", or DM-Q. CHUCK-Q, as he likes to be called. His on going battles and paybacks with Worf are some of the best moments. I won't reveal one favorite villian from the original Star Trek series. Who is responsible for Chuck-Q going over to "the dark side".

I can't begin to describe some of hysterically rude one-liners. Captain Picard telling people to "shut to the hell up" and if you know his voice, it's all the funnier. Riker is a great straight man with many noteable quips. It is not just rudeness, it is often very truthful and relateable. Some of it not very PC making it all the funnier. The innuendo is cleverly disguised.

All the main characters are here and each one are perfectly odd fitting pieces. Great nostolgic joke references to TV and movies. If you don't laugh at Star Shack then you just don't get it.

I know if you like this kind of humor you will laugh out loud. I promise you will not be disappointed. But don't expect any refunds. This isn't Radio Shack!

Commander Deanna Troi: Excellent Likeness of Star Trek's Favorite Empath

This action figure is an excellent likeness of actress Marina Sirtis as 'Star Trek: The Next Generation"'s half-human, half-empathic Betazoid counselor, Deanna Troi. Her blue uniform, as depicted on this figure, can be seen throughout the final season of "The Next Generation"'s seven-year run (1987-1994).

Its limited accessories are a milkshake (I'm not quite sure why), a tricorder, and a figure stand. All in all, I highly recommend this figure as a welcome addition to any Star Trek collector's treasure trove or to any action figure collector who expects high production quality in return for his/her investment.

5 stars of 5.

P.S. As a side note, there is a variant of this figure also available, as Deanna Troi is featured in her casual uniform from the middle years of the program.

Thought this book was an adult, paperback adaptation of this Star Trek Nemesis movie. If you aren't an adult, avoid this copy of the book!

Holds interest even if you remember the film in detail

There was never a happier time for the officers of Jean-Luc Picard's Enterprise, as Will Riker and Deanna Troi marry with their friends and colleagues surrounding them. Meanwhile, on far-off Romulus, the senate chamber lights with death planted by a saboteur - death that clears the way for a Human reared on Remus to take power there. Shinzon, the "Reman but not Reman" whom the long-enslaved inhabitants of that world claim as their prophesied savior, need Jean-Luc Picard in order to survive. Even though Picard, toasting Riker and Troi at their Alaskan wedding reception, doesn't yet know the much younger man exists.

J.M. Dillard's novelizations of the Star Trek films are always well done, and this book is no exception. It fills in much that the movie skimmed or skipped over entirely, and by so doing holds the reader's interest even if that reader recalls the film in detail. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Imzadi Forever is the best compilation of the greatest two books I have ever red. Peter David, probably my most favorite author, hit the head on the nail square on with both of these books. Never read anything better!

The Best Trek Has to Offer & a Master Storyteller

I'll let other reviews cover the subject matter of this particular book and focus on author Peter David instead. He is, without doubt, the premier author of Trek fiction and you are well-advised to seek out all his other fiction, both Trek and non-Trek.

What makes David so unique? Not only does he know every single detail in the series, his books reveal a deep compassion and concern for each story, going beyond casual story-telling into motivations and character development that can only be produced by someone who thinks with depth and understanding about each character and who loves his material.

And what do you get in this novel? No less than the best Trek novel ever written (Imzadi) and an absolute joy to behold, as it takes the skeleton of a story barely hinted at in the series and molds it into a pulse-pounding character-based lovefest that will deeply satisfy the casual and series fan alike. And note that in a David book, there are no throw-away characters or scenes - everyone who shows up, right down to the smallest part, gets a full examination by the author, transforming pulp fiction into absolute artistry.

Kudos!

This book is extremely well written, using the background stories from the Star Trek series to great effect, both of the stories in this omnibus are captivating and really pull you into the relationships between Deanna and Will, then latterly Deanna and Worf,as a fan of all the Star Trek series and the books, I was delighted with this book, and would read any of Peter David's future novels, as he really captures the world of Star Trek.

If you had bothered to read the description of the book, you might realize it is reprinted material.

The original Imzadi is one of the best books (Star Trek or other) that I've ever read. I would give it six starts, vaulting it from loved it, to changed my life status. I grew up on STTNG (laugh all you will) and I always wanted more of an explanation into the Riker/Troi relationship. Imzadi gives you all that you could hope for and more.

Imzadi Two: Triangle is good, albit a bit akward since it takes place after the crash of the Enterprise in the first TNG movie. PD had to scramble a little to fit what he wrote into what the writers of the show/movie had done in the interm, but he pulled it off. He also added Thomas Riker, aka bad Riker and Sela to add to the basic love story and help muddy the waters.

I have both books in hard cover and have read each several times. PD has a great way with words and I really enjoy his view of the STTNG universe.
