Scott has raised the bar in this book even beyond his first insect book. The dozens of full color photos complement a fascinating, readable text. And Scott deserves all the kudos for his support of the Boy Scouts of Central Texas.

A poignant story of difficult real-life choices and wonder for natural miracles, Isabel's House Of Butterflies would make a welcome addition to any school or community library collection.

This book is about butterflies and caterpillars. It is a non-fiction, very good learning book. This is a great book for kids because it is educational, and it shows how things change from one thing, to another. It shows the 4 different stages. This book has beautiful photographs, and is easy to read. I have read this book and I liked it. If you read it, you will probably like it too.

Excellent informative books on worms. The photographs are excellent and the text easy to understand for this age group. Comprehensive explanation of earth worms. Also includes information on other types of worms children may not be familiar with.

This is a wonderful book for children. You can even sing the itsy bitsy spider song along with the words. My 5 month old gets so excited when I sing the book to him and show him the pictures.. The illustrations are so bright and cute that you can't help but smile at them.

This is a great little book. Perfect size for little hands, this tells the age old story of the itsy-bitsy spider.
The illustrations are outstanding and the spider is actually adorable, with the happiest grin you'd ever want to see.

I just had a science project to do, so I liked insects, then I looked at this book, and it told many projects I could do with insects! The teacher was very impressed that I did three projects for the science fair. Everyone liked my project, except for Emily, who is scared of insects all the time! This is an excellent book for projects (and extra credit)!

What a cute book. My kids loved Joe, the main character. It has a nice moral to it also.

Jumping Jack the Grasshopper is an adorable book about a grasshopper named Jack who is looking for a friend. In the end, Jack leanrns that he doesn't have to be just like someone in order to be their friend...some friends wiggle, fly, and swim. My active 2 year old little boy will actually sit down to read this book as he hops the toy grasshopper "Jack" that comes with the book from page to page on his adventure, and he learns a valuable lesson.

For those who like to look at photos of real-life bugs up close and in their environment, this is the book for you. The pictures are amazing. There are more photos of camouflage and mimicry than in any other book of its kind that I've looked at--and I've looked at many! It's appropriate for all ages because it contains good information, but it is also worth it just for the pictures!
