"Atmospheric Diffusion" is an advanced text book. As with most books on atmpospheric diffusion, Pasquill's and Smith's book is heavy in statistical math. Unlike many such books, it is also well illustrated and includes many emprical examples (e.g., K rates for different terrains, methods for determining stability, etc.). This illustrative, and explanitory method makes this probably the most appropriate book for introducing a graduate class to the subject.

The book focuses on industrial cases with plume diffusion, and is rather English-centric. The book represents a good introduction to the subject, with considerable practical applications. Chapters are written in a topical fashion that to address specific problems rather than models. This would be typical of class room presentations, where different models would be presented on a discussion of the same problem.

I was given this volume as a gift on my last birthday. The presenter knew that "Look Homeward Angel" was in my "Top 5" favorite novels. I sat down to read and did not get up until I had turned the last page.

This is a fascinating book and a tribute not only to Thomas Wolfe, but to the two scholars who have delved so deeply into his life and art. I wish that all great autobiographical novels would recieve this kind of treatment. A novel as great and rich as "Look Homeward Angel" has finally come full circle in this tremendouse companion.

I fully recommend aviation law practitioners in Civil Law jurisdictions to have this book in their hands. It provides the best ever case law material, to the point analysis.

If I was to recommend one book for any youth pastor, especially an upcoming youth pastor, this would be the book. Written by one of the foremost youth leaders of our day, Dewey provides the reader with the biblical wisdom to begin developing your own philosophy for youth ministry. Buy this book!

Great adventures. The authors were pioneers in showing a variety of ways and modes traveling Baja's land, seas and skies. I learned from the planning and laughed at their misadventures. After reading the book, I found myself eager to plan my own adventures, hopefully, crossing paths with the Patchens. Their journeys by jeeps, hiking boots, canoes, yachts, kayaks, helicopters, airplanes and other unique modes were proof that Baja offers an exciting variety of adventures.

I used this book on my trip down Baja. We hadn't purchased the newer version yet, but even so, it made the trip so much more enjoyable!! It pointed out all kinds of interesting pieces of history, geography, points of interest, and sights you might not have noticed during your drive -- if you hadn't had the book. It also helped to break up the drive and entertain you. YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK if you plan on driving down Baja!!
