I was given this book years ago and read it regulary with my Bible. Mrs. White's insight into Jesus and His mission on earth and what His life means to me is a blessing to my soul. Regardless of how far you have walked with Jesus, this book can and will refresh your soul and give you a new understanding of our Lord.

Ellen White's masterpiece on the life of Christ. Be prepared to be taken back to the culture and day of Jesus. You will feel yourself there and what's most important you will be drawn into His presence. You must read this book!!!!!

I couldn't put the book down. This book pulls you in from the first page and holds you to the last. It is an eye opening book that gives a true look at what life was like in Russia after WWII for Christians.

This book is also extremely inspirational. If a boy between the age of 10 and 12 could find the courage and faith to with stand the persecurtion dipicted in this story then we who live in freedom should find it easy to stand up for our faith.

Sasha is a young boy in Stalinist Russia. He must make a truly important decision, will he follow God, and be a Christian, even when he is beat up by former friends, publicly ridiculed by previously favorable teachers? How about when the decision will take him away from his mother? This is no book for cowards, nor for those who like to compromise with truth. It will hit you smack in the eyes. ARISTEO BRITO'S NOVEL IS AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY. HIS SINCERITY IS OBVIOUS AND HIS IMAGES ARE TRUE PRINTS OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT.I HAVE NOT BEEN SO MOVED BY THE INTENSITY OF A NOVEL IN A LONG TIME. THE PLIGHT AND HEROISISM OF A PEOPLE SO OPPRESSED COULD ONLY BE DESCRIBED SO ELOQUENTLY BY ARISTEO BRITO. I AM ONLY SADDENED THAT I COULD NOT READ IT IN IT'S FIRST EDITION OF SPANISH, BECAUSE I IMAGINE HIS WORDS WERE EVEN MORE COMPELLING AND BEAUTIFUL.

Since Mri has a variety in Pathiology i strongly recommend this book to any radiologist who wants to have a full view in this sector.

This is a really great book for MRI. It's clinically oriented and very practical to use. Most of the text is in chart form and is packed with facts. They also gives you tips on interpreting subtle and difficult cases. The images are excellent. I bought one for each of my offices locations.

This movie is beautiful. It is a long movie, but you will never know it because you become so engrossed in the story. The actress is beautiful and you really feel for her character. The gentleman who plays her father is great! The singing, dancing, and clothing are wonderful. I watch this one as often as I can.

The only thing I did not like - the special features did not have English captions, so you really couldn't enjoy them.

I also purchased the soundtrack to this movie. It is excellent and has more songs that were used in the movies.

As an American who only recently discovered Bollywood movies, I absolutely loved the classic Hindi movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge so much that I bought this book about it. The book is intended to be used as a college textbook for critical studies of the film in the context of motion pictures as an art and entertainment medium in contemporary culture. While I am not a student, I am interested in movies as a medium of art, and I am very interested in the Indian film industry in particular. This book helped satisfy those interests.

I found this book very helpful in understanding the movie's effect on Indian people, both those who have dispersed to other countries and those who remain in India. It also gave me insight to the actual making of the film and some history of Indian cinema and the careers of the cast and crew who made the film. Most importantly, it gave me greater understanding of Indian movies in general and the meaning of metaphors typically used in those films.

I would recommend this book to 1) students studying films and the film industry, 2) Bollywood enthusiasts, and 3) fans of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and director Aditya Chopra.

Dime Store Erotics is a splendid book of poetry, by a real up-and-comer! It is lyrically rich but also riveting--familial, sexual, natural. The poems range from the experiences of motherhood to buying dime novels in a busstop store, from gardening to drunken revelries. In addition to the strong narratives, the poems are themselves extremely well-made, tight, formally coherent but flexible. Ann Townsend surely knows how to write!

i own a copy of this book, and i had the pleasure of spending a week at a workshop taught by dr. townsend. this book never leaves my bag. my highest praise for a spectacular collection of poems and its lovely author.

I was a student of Harris Stone's for several classes during my career at KU's School of Architecture and Urban Design in the 1980's. The book "Dispersed City of the Plains" is just so very typical of Harris. Harris was one of the best Critics (that's the code word for Architecture Teacher, Professor, etc.) that I ever had. He was truely wise. Stone had a way of looking beyond what was fashionable to print in the Professional Journals to see the truth in the Architecture. Harris always taught us, as students in Kansas, to be proud of our herritage. He had the ability to see the art in what others disregarded as mundane and below their recognition. Harris was a proponent for the masses, the end users of Architecture. It didn't matter to him how great a building was proclaimed if it didn't serve it's purpose for it's users. Stone's books always remind us to design for the people, and the environment, not the Journals.

This is a challenging, original analysis of the meaning of the built environment of the Great Plains. The author begins much the way that Walter Prescott Webb did in his pioneering work on the same subject, by analyzing the building blocks that organize space and the economy of the region, in this instance grain elevators, barbed wire, and windmills. He then moves through types of housing, and communities from hamlet to major city.

Harris Stone's basic thesis is threefold: 1. The Great Plains experienced a fundamentally different pattern of settlement than the Eastern U.S., because the land was subdivided before settlers arrived; 2. European models of city form are not valid for analyzing the built environment of the Plains; 3. Instead, the settlement pattern of the Plains is a work in progress that anticipates the impact of today's information-age economy, and it should be evaluated accordingly.

The author's text is handwritten, with his own drawings illustrating his points. His ideas are spare and challenge the reader to participate and "fill in the blanks." His style is somewhat akin to the way Jane Jacobs analyzes city life, while his conclusions contrast dramatically with hers.

There is also a poignance that permeates the book, because Harris Stone was dying of cancer as he wrote it. Too weak to finish preparation of the text for publishing, his wife and colleagues at the University of Kansas School of Architecture completed the final few pages, in a different style of handwriting and illustration. One mourns the loss of so original a thinker, as one is simultaneously stimulated by his text.

This book is a great way for people to learn how to do simple math problems (arithmetic operations) in their heads. Unlike some other books in the same genre that simply give you gimmicks without explaining how or why they work, W. J. Howard offers tricks that have a solid basis in mathematical logic and explains the rationale. Another problem that many other mental math books have is that they require you to memorize a lot of rules that aren't easily relatable to common sense. Dr. Howard's book, however, only gives you a few rules which are easier to remember because they have a logical basis.

Even if you aren't interested in mental math, this book is a great refresher for those who have forgotten how to do arithmetic without a calculator. So toss out your calculators, sharpen your pencils, and buy this book. You won't regret it.

Howard's book is the perfect addition to the homeschoolers' curricula. This book teaches you all those techniques your old fashioned math teacher used to teach and that aren't in the standard math text. It gives an overview of each idea and follows with sample problems. Tremendously helpful in getting your student to make that leap between concrete math of elementary school and the abstract math of Algebra. Works with even the math-shy student. Should be a part of every parent's arsenal of math aids. Helps the parent remember these as well.

This is the best resource I have seen for orthopedics. It is easy to use and lists a lot of words in context of their use. Highly recommend.

Medical Transcriptionists already know how good these books are, Dorlands is a "bible" for Transcriptionists!

As a first year nursing student, med-math is one of the tasks I had to accomplish. This book explains it in easy to read terms. A must for every nursing student!

For any person going into a pharmacy-related field, I would highly recommend this book. My greated challenge has been dosage calculations, and this book has been an excellent resourse.
