My wife wanted this book badly, even though the movie is over three hours long, isn't it? Evidently there were lots of others mad for it too, since the book was sold out at local bookstores around Christmas. I wonder if there are conventions a la Star Trek and if fans have a name for themselves (e.g., "Wonderfulies," "Zuzus," "Bailey-wiks," "Buffalo Gals/Guys" - or just "Buffalos," etc.).

This book is a quick, easy read for all fans of this great movie. It provides many little bits of information on the cast and story and even points out little gaffes or interesting items within the movie that you may never have noticed yourself. So get out your copy of the movie, grab the book, and revisit the Bailey's!

I am a 4th year medical student and found this book to be an excellent review of preclinical basic science material. It is concise but detailed enough. It can be used as a quick reference when you don't have time to read a larger source. Highly recommended to add to your library. Just wish there was a new edition.

I am a surgeon and found this book lucid and very readable, and at the same time containing more than enough information for principles of surgery examinations for residents. Its critical mode of writing will also serve the surgeon well throughout his/her surgical career and will inculcate a certain critical ability in its reader. My only suggestion for improvement would be a more upto date edition and a slightly better written chapter on biostatistics. Good work Savage et al! Thumbs up all the way!

For anyone who used the AAOS's "Orange Book" for their EMT-B course, this book, under the Brady name, is a good book to have because you get a different perspective on the same things. Of course, the Brady series has always been solid anyway.

This was exactly what I wanted - it has been a tremendous help for me finishing up nursing school.

I purchased this book two weeks ago. I have not taken my NCLEX test yet, but I do think this book has been really helpful in helping me to review two years worth of information! The book covers a lot of information, but is easy to follow. I like the practice tests also. I'm confident I will pass my NCLEX with the help of this book.

Exceptionally well written by Deirdre Reilly, Exhausted Rapunzel: Tales Of Modern Castle Life is a treasure trove of family humor that touches upon everything from daring to see familiar faces at a high school reunion, to coping with the foibles of a pet dog, to how a new baby turns everyone's life upside down. From cover to cover, Exhausted Rapunzel is a delightful, heartwarming, thoroughly entertaining read.

This book is a wonderful collection of humorous essays that touches anyone who has a family or has been in a family (namely everyone!) Deirdre writes in a warm, friendly and clever way about those everyday mishaps which happen in all of our lives. I read about so many things that have happened to me...and it was reassuring to know someone else is in the same boat. I especially like the way she doesn't make fun of her family - but instead simply laughs at herself. I alternated between laughing and crying when I read the essays. My 15-year-old son told me, after looking through it, that he wants one of these books for Christmas. I guess I know what I'm getting my family and friends this year for the holiday - it sure makes the gift giving easy.

It is amazing to see that the events happening around us are predicted in Revelation, even the destruction by fire of the New York high towers were not supposed to be able to burn (see commentary on Rev. 18) It is plain to see after reading this set of incredible research that we are in the time between end of Rev. 14 and the beginning of Rev. 18. The commentary of Rev. 17 is extremely interesting in how the religious/political powers will affect the world with the next 3rd Vatican Counsel. Notice that Pope Benidict XVI is the seventh pope since his namesake, Benedict XV. In Daniel pay special attention to Dan. 11 and 12. The symbolism and depiction of what is NOW going on in heaven is amazing. These volumes will amaze you and open your eyes to the workings of God in prophecy both Past History and Future History, the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End.

It is not an exegetical nor homiletical commentary.
It is more a commentary of interpretation of apocaliptical books of the Bible.
There are quotations from the works of E. G. White and they are arranged according to verses of Daniel and Revelation. It is a great tool for those who wants to know more about the doctrine of the Seventh-day Adventists from original source. Conclusions of E. G. White may differ from opinion of mainline thought about apocaliptical books, but prophets always were inferior in the sight of mainline stream. History, time and the Bible put everthing in its place.
This book is expensive, but somewhere else it may be for less price.

In true Mary Kay Carson fashion, Exploring the Solar System : A History with 22 Activities isn't dumbed down even the slightest. Carson respects children and seems to grasp well what they can be expected to understand - which is often more than what they are credited with. As a result, her text is thorough and frank and can easily be read to would-be astronauts as young as 4 or 5 years. And the illustrative photos are stunning, the perfect foil for the text in capturing the imagination. From interviews with well-regarded scientists (including explanations of how they themselves became interested in studying space) to easy-to-execute activities to a very thorough timeline of space exploration, Carson has once again thought of everything for engaging our own little scientists. I simply cannot recommend this book enough.

I bought this for my 6 yr. daughter. She's very interested in Space. It's a good quality book (no cheap paper). It has a lot of information from the past. First attempt into space they sent a dog. My daughter is very smart and understands what she is reading (or what I help her read). I would say it's more for 8 yrs and up (but perfect for a younger mature child). It has original pictures (not cartoon drawings) and is very educational for the whole family (if you are interested in learning about space). I recommend it for your collection.

Harold Bell Wright may have published "The Eyes of the Word in 1915, but its message is directly applicable to today. Behind the captivating saga of a portrait painter romancing a violinist under the scrutiny of his famous novelist yokefellow, a renowned media critic, and mismatched promiscuous art patrons is a morality play that is just as timely as it was a nearly a hundred years ago.

The narrative repeatedly laments the success bestowed upon much so called "art" that debauches that title. Conrad LaGrange, the celebrated author, begrudgingly iterates that his wealth and esteem have been acquired by accentuating the profane and sacrificing the nobility of his profession. Reading of such a contretemps, it is hard not to ponder the likes of Madonna, Howard Stern, Roseanne Barr and host of other modern icons who've built their careers on the meretricious rather than the meritorious.

As usual Harold Bell Wright displays his masterful command of the written word. Few other authors can match him when it comes to unfolding action in a manner that engages the reader from the first sentence to the satisfying conclusion

I've read this book at least 15 times and everytime I read it I'm amazed at how much I learn and how different the message seems to me each time I read it. The message is so perfect for today that you hardly believe it was written so long ago. If I could give one to everyone in the world I would, the message, the writing, the underlying depth of this life changing book is truly magnifiscent! Read this book, and maybe it will touch your life as it has mine!

It is truly and indeed a master piece of work by Kroll on the topic of "The Judgment Seat of Christ". Kroll has written an in-depth book on this very least preached and understood but in fact should be one of the most important topics to be taught in the church. Within the 33 short, readable and inspiring chapters, Kroll has significantly bettered my understanding in the Judgment Seat of Christ through his sound exegesis and vivid explanations. Kroll has convincingly demonstrated that the eternal rewards are God's promises and most importantly they are worth fighting for. It is important for Christians to know what they are living for as a Christian and start working for the eternal rewards utilizing every opportunity and effort they have now. Kroll's book is encouraging and strengthening. I highly recommend this book to all Christians. I am sure anyone who takes this learning journey with Kroll will have a wonderful discovery and surely their faith strengthened.

Preaching to not be so concerned with so much frivolities in the mortal realm, and to prepare yourself more for the only job review that ultimately matters, "Facing Your Final Job Review: The Judgment Seat of Christ, Salvation, and Eternal Rewards" speaks on how ones life is evaluated in the after life according to the holy bible in a plain-speaking simple to understand method with a blend of narrative and Q&A format. "Facing Your Final Job Review: The Judgment Seat of Christ, Salvation, and Eternal Rewards" is highly recommended to community library Christian studies collections.

This is one of the best short stories I have read in a long while. The craftsmanship and use of language is poetic; the story line is engaging, familiar, funny, and poignant. A must read - and a good choice, I think, for anyone studying the genre of the short story.

I will never think of cocktails, hunchbacks, mules, baked beans or death in the same way again.
