This book was exactly what I was looking for as a substitute teacher. I am often in a class that has a special needs child in it and it is so nice to be able to communicate directly with the child rather than working through their aide. It gives me exactly the phrases I need, not too many. It is a great tool for me.

This was purchased for a 7 yr old who was learning sign in school because there were a couple of hearing impaired children in her class and she wanted to be able to talk with them. She has learned much from this book in a short time. She now teaches her grandmother and "tests" her on what she has learned.

I purchased this book to use as a text for my daughter to learn sign as her foreign language. The illustrations are very easily understood, and as the title suggests, pertains to the average school day. The chapters include: Finger Alphabet, Asking Questions and Getting Answers, Courtesies and Greetings, Giving Direction, and Words Around School. This book would make an excellent resource for teachers and students alike to learn how to communicate with a hearing-impaired classmate. We look forward to more titles being added to this series.

I have no idea how to rate this book.

One the one hand, the writing is excellent, the entire story of a virgin birth presented in the form of letters sent to and from a 14 year old self-made outcast named Taswell (it's a family name). The moment I started reading it, I couldn't stop until I'd reached the end. The writing is _that_ good.

The character of Taswell is amazing. Obviously lonely and anti-social, she exhibits a vast amount of faith, intelligence, and a strange sort of maturity. Many of the things she wrote in the book made me pause, breaking out the story, because they were just so deliciously _demented_. As a character study alone, she's an amazing person to examine, because Taswell is both original and believable, which seems to be a very hard combination of characteritics for many other authors to properly achieve.

However, on the other hand, as I made my way through the book, I grew more and more depressed. Perhaps it's just me and my crappy social skills when I was growing up, but I found myself wishing I could reach into the world of the book and slap her out of it, tell her the things I've learned over the years about making friends and the importance of other people. Another thing that bothered me was the ending, because I _expected_ it to end that way, and I hate it when my expectations are met in books. I'd much rather be surprised, or wowed.

This is a hard review to write, because even though I'll probably never read the book again, "Signs and Wonders" is definitely something that's worth reading. It affected me in a way that many books never have, with its wonderful writing, storyline, and main character. I was thoroughly depressed by the end of the book, but dang it, it was WORTH it.

So, thus, I humbly suggest that everyone out there, young or old, READ this book. You may be like me and never want to read it again, but it's still an excellent read and a strangely affecting story. "Signs and Wonders" is powerful, and something so moving deserves to be read.

This book is truly original and hard to put down, yet also a book that one doesn't want to finish! Told through letters, the author brings us into the thoughts and heart of an adolescent girl who is suffering from a lack of attention from parents, a grandmother, and others in her life. How Taswell deals with her pain is both surprising and touching. And the person who comes into her life as a positive influence is equally unexpected.

The characters are complex and well developed, and along the way Collins enriches the story with exceptional humor and wit.

This is a wonderful book!

Once in a while a book comes along that you can't put down and you'll never forget. Signs and Wonders is just such a book. It's brilliant. Told entirely in letters that bring the characters to life and keeps the pages turning quickly, almost too quickly for I hated to reach the end. Taswell, the main character, takes us on a fantastical emotional journey, which ends quite beautifully back in reality. Her wild imagination driven by the need for something as simple and as complicated as love. A must read and like Catherine, Called Birdy by Karen Cushman, destined to become a classic.

This was a really great book. The story was told entirely in the letter correspondence of Taswell and her grandmother, father, and guardian spirit, Pim. The storyline was very gripping and different, as Taswell finds out that she has been chosen for a miracle: she is pregnant; a virgin birth. All of the characters are well developed, from Taswell's chattering classmate Madeline to her father's new girlfriend to the interrogating school counselor. This book is a must for anybody.

Tim Brookes offers a well written, engaging account of the dying and death process. My father was diagnosed with a brain tumor a few weeks ago and a dear friend put this book in my hands. It is a tribute to life and dignity in dying. As I write this we are still in the middle of searching for treatment and I find the words of this book comforting and a guide of sorts to the process of living, essentially with a death sentence. The author shines a light on a process we are all engaged in, as we all eventually face the dying process. This book would be helpful for family members as well as professionls...and not only those dealing with cancer.

My beloved father passed away on March 3, 2005 after living for 2 years with Stage IV lung cancer. I was his caretaker for the last 6 weeks of his life whe I moved to New York to care for him. This book is a beautiful heartfelt story of the author's experience with his own's mother's illness and death. I found it to be very cathartic and appreciated the beauty of his words. i even found things within to adapt when writing my dad's eulogy. If only i could write so well to write something beautiful for my father. Thank you Tim Brookes, bless your family and your mother, may she live though you all who loved her so. Lori

When my grandmother was diagnosed terminally ill(suffering from COPD), the family chose hospice care instead of a nursing home. I went to the library to get a book on hospice and this is the book that carried me through the heartbreaking yet beautiful last week of my beloved Nany's life. I know that every dying experience is different, but there were similarities between the author's mother and my grandmother's. It gave me great comfort to read Mr. Brookes words as I sat beside my grandmother's bedside. Many thanks for putting into words what my family and I were observing and feeling.

Tim Brookes very eloquently voiced some of my own thoughts, feelings and struggles as I experienced my mother's death from cancer 2 months ago. It is a time of great intimacy and discovery about the very meaning of life. Our culture's beliefs and fears around death are interwoven with his very personal story, which he shares with great poignancy. This book is NOT a downer but a tribute to life. It is HIGHLY recommended for everyone, as death is a part of everyone's life

Excellent reference manual for Sign Language

Review Date: 2003-11-10
I took sign language courses in college, and this was the textbook that we used. It is an excellent reference manual which provides a multitude of signs applicable to everyday life. The author begins by explaining that his book features signs most consistent with Manually Coded English (MCE), letting the readers know that Pidgen Sign English (PSE) and American Sign Language (ASL) may differ somewhat in signs and syntax. He then provides a thorough review of how to interpret the illustrations which are used to portray each sign in the book. The black and white human figure line drawings which illustrate the signs are clear, simple, and easy to replicate. The book is well-organized, as each chapter offers signs related to a single concept or idea (eg, family). Also, the book begins with the most commonly used signs and gradually progresses to signs which allow the expression of more complex situations and ideas. At the end of each chapter, there is a list of sentences for practicing the new vocabulary words learned. When I was taking sign language classes, I found this to be an excellent teaching tool, and now that I am trying to teach signs to my nieces, I find it to be a wonderful resource.

I have been taking ASL for the past year, and this is by far one of the best books I have seen. It shows the difference between signs for ASL, Signed English, etc. I have checked this book out of our local library three times, and now have decided to buy it for myself. It includes many signs for words that have multiple meanings, and explains the difference for each. I highly recommend this book.

A very good book for reference for finding the best sign to use in a given situation as multiple signs are given for one English word. The book is ideal for students of Pidgen Sign English (aka PSE, CASE, or Siglish) and/or Manual Coded English (aka MCE or Sign English). The only limitation of this book is that it does NOT offer any explaination of American Sign Language (aka ASL) grammar or syntax. Very good sentences to pratice, hints to remember, and multiple glosses (i.e. lables) for one sign.

I purchased this book to augment the Creative Learning curriculum I use in my preschool room and was not disappointed. Simple Signing with Young Children is a WONDERFUL, pertinent, practical guide to incorporating ASL into your classroom. Carol Garboden Murray did a great job at introducing ASL concepts and explaining the basics to someone like me: a preschool teacher interested in adding sign language to our everyday routine. The pictures are great: lots of them and easy to reference. The photos include the person and their facial expression, which is such a key element to learning...instead of just pictures of the hand demonstrating each sign.
The author also does a great job a explaining variations on the signs and how children typically adapt them to their developmental level. Her chapter on Sign Language for Babies is particularly thorough. Because of my background, I was most interested in her chapters for toddlers and incorporating ASL into the classroom. I was so excited to learn songs, fingerplays, and signs for classroom routines (like story time and "five more minutes to play"). There is also an index of signs at the back of the book for easy reference. I cannot say enough about what a great resource this is. Our preschool has currently ordered another copy to keep on hand as a resource for all of our teachers at the center.

In "Simple Signing With Young Children: A Guide For Infant, Toddler, And Preschool Teachers", preschool teacher, special education instructor, early interventionist, parent educator, nursery school and childcare director, and sing language workshop presenter Carol Garboden Murray draws upon her more than 17 years of experience and expertise to write a thoroughly 'user friendly' instruction manual for parents, teachers, and care-givers to teach very young children how to communicate through sign language. Detailed photographs aptly demonstrate how to execute each sign while written directions provide a methodical and step-by-step guide for educators and parents. Comprehensive, authoritative, and superbly organized, "Simple Signing With Young Children" is the ideal introductory instruction manual and very highly recommended for anyone having to teach sign language to very young children at home, in a daycare center, or a community preschool program.

Juri Lina's book is, sadly, hard to come by. But those who have the wherewithal to acquire it will have in their hands one of the absolute keys to understanding modern world history. Between these covers, Lina reveals the result of extensive research into the newly released Soviet archives. With this, he exposes the truth behind the bloody Soviet regime and, most importantly, the international conspiracy that created and supported it.

I would say that if one were to read the following in succession, they would be far ahead of the average history graduate student in terms of what really took place in Holy Russia and Soviet Russia, which are, of course, two entirely different polities:

Third Rome by Matthew Raphael Johnson
Last Days of the Romanovs by Robert Wilton
Under the Sign of the Scorpion by Yuri Lina

A necessary caution is here offered for the sensitve reader. Lina spares little detail in terms of describing the magnitude of the Soviet terror machine. Much of this work is not for the faint of heart. Yet, the information is terribly important. There is a sense in which we have to understand what the Soviet regime truly was and what forces were really behind it such that we can prevent such a horror from ever again visiting this planet.

I believe the book, though not available from Amazon, can be purchased through Texe Maars, the European American Evangelical Association, or directly from the author, Mr. Lina. Believe me. For the serious student of history, going the extra mile to acquire this important book is well worth the effort. God bless.

Let the documents speak for them selves.

Let there be light!

What a wonderful correction to our American pseudo-history "education". Given that our "education" system has been controlled and funded by Zionist-Masonic foundations and endowments for decades, is it any wonder that the histories have been spun and presented in a disjointed, disconnected and non-related fashion? And we wonder why the young ones are board to death by history. Surprise, Surprise!

Think about how law enforcement investigates a resent crime. They look into that small slice of resent history for a sub-set of connected/related data's and connect the dots. Because it's true in the lesser sense, it's true in the greater as well.

Our histories had to be rewritten as spun and "disconnected" so we wouldn't connect the dots and find-out what had been done, how and by whom.

A Book That Will Change Your View of "Reality"

This book is quite hard to find, therefore I read the expanded Swedish 1999-edition, but I think you can get a hold of it directly from the author, Jüri Lina, if Amazon is sold out. The book details the occult war that was and is being waged against the World at large and the West especially by dark and evil forces beyond what we can immediately see. Mr. Lina was forced out of his native Estonia by representatives of these very forces, although very few of the goons and low-ranking members of these groups are aware whom they really serve. The book mainly details the rise and spread of Bolshevism in all its forms, from the French, American and more recently "Russian" revolution, and a lot of related issues. The main group behind all this, Lina claims, is the Illuminati. All the Illuminati are freemasons, but not all freemasons are Illuminati, we learn. From the founding of this group and throughout mainly European history, we follow Mr. Lina on a whirlwind of information on the schemers behind most changes in the world, the majority of them for the worse.

The book is divided into 9 chapters; 1. "Myths of the fake communists and the skin-deep Christians" 2. "The Illuminati - Triumph of Secrecy" 3. "Karl Marx - saint of evil" 4. "The Unknown Vladimir Uljanov" 5. "Lev Trotskij - Cynic and Sadist" 6. "How the Communists Seized Power" 7. "Through the Labyrinth of Murder" 8. "The Bloodthirsty Wolf of Kremlin - Lazar Kaganovitj" 9. "US Aid to the Soviet Union" and finally 10. "The Communist Seizure of Power in Estonia". Merely by the naming of the chapters, the book will be labelled with the meaningless label of "anti-Semitic", but as Mr. Lina in every imaginable way shows in his book, talking about the atrocities of Communism and its relatives without the Tribe, makes about as much sense as talking of National Socialism without Germans. But where National Socialism supposedly is guilty of millions of deaths, we'll have to add some zeros to the Illuminati death toll, not to talk about all the uncountable millions of unborn Europeans each day because of their actions or ideas.

The Illuminati work towards a world of mindless raceless, casteless, nationless, cultureless drones with themselves on top, controlling the teeming masses of plebeians. Is this not the world towards we are currently going? As he fittingly points out on p.96; "When the giants are gone, the dwarves can party". He shows how overwhelmingly Jewish Communism really was, so Jewish that the American newspaper The Jewish Voice in 1941 launched the following slogan; "Anti-communism is anti-Semitism!" (p. 190). What more does one need to say?

On page 270 we learn the following quote from the infamous Jewish Illuminati Walther Rathenau; "300 men, whom all know each other, rule the finances of Europe and choose their successors from their own ranks".

The quotes and information in this book is just too overwhelming to quote any further, but know that unless you have read this book, you know very little of what really has moved in history no matter how many books you've read. I can promise you that you will change your view of the world, no matter what you held to be true before. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the great "revolutions" in history and the forces behind them. 5 stars.

I read this after reading about it on the net.
This history is unbelievably different to the history we are offered when we are "educated" in the west.
It will amaze and horrify you, and you will never wonder about the brutality of the people who tout the Zionist cause again.
Following this book, I read "The Controversy of Zion" - a long and difficult read, as there were so many facts. However, it was also a book I found impossible to put down.
After these books, both of which are highly recommended by Michael Tozer, I decided to look through all the reviews he'd written.
Accordingly, I have now bought quite a collection of old books, together with some by very brave modern authors.
If at all possible, do try to read both the books mentioned here. The way you look at the world will never be the same again.
But you will know the truth, which if it doesn't depress you too much, will set you free!

Superb Photographs, Light on the Text

This is one of two first-rate books on crop circles and their implications for mankind that I recommend. This one is the "coffee table" book, with an absolutely sensational collection of clear color photographs that provide what I believe may be the single best collection of distinct crop circles at distinct times and places on the planet.

This book is however light on the text and the thinking. It should be read in conjunction with "Open Minds: A Journal of Extraordinary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance," by Simeon Hein, Ph.D.

I am persuaded of three things by these books taken together and my various other readings:

1) The Earth is alive and everything on it is a web of life that has a global consciousness--the butterfly effect and the mind over matter effects are real.

2) There exist other forms of intelligence at least equal if not vastly superior to ours elsewhere, and I speculate from some of this reading that we are a "diversity enhancer" for a larger constellation of planets, and that we may also be failing a longer-term test to determine if we are ready for inter-planetary interaction.

3) There are, between books like this and the many very intelligent people that tend NOT to go into politics, clear possibilities for our rising to the challenge. We simply have not focused as a Collective Intelligence or World Brain, and we need to do so before we destroy our planet and our species.

Both books are almost mesmerizing.

A definitive history of the crop circles

When Andy Thomas' Vital Signs first came out in its UK edition in 1998, it was quickly seen as one of the best historical surveys of the post-1978 crop circle phenomenon. As a longtime editor of the journal of the Southern Circular Research group (now known as Swirled News at www.swirlednews.com), as well as a top-notch researcher himself, Thomas had been looking long and hard at the crop formations, from every angle, both inside and outside the glyphs. With great persistence, a feisty spirit, and often hilarious drama at such venues as the annual Glastonbury Symposium and the International UFO Congress, Thomas remains one of the fiercest defenders of the true crop circles, and a defender as well of the hard research that's been done on the phenomenon over the years. I'm happy to see that Vital Signs has come out in an updated version in the US, incorporating the glyphs from the intervening years, including the 2001 season. Readers unfamiliar with the first edition will want to buy this version, one of the best overviews of the phenomenon.

Vital Signs begins with a painstaking presentation of the ground-level data, including the unusual layering and swirls of the downed crop, while providing important details of the scientific work that's been done analyzing the effects on the stalks and soil, establishing the reality of the phenomenon beyond all the hoaxing. It then goes elaborately into what's seen from up above: the pictorial shapes and beautiful geometries, uncovering the mathematics encoded in the shapes. Along the way, we also learn of the strange balls of light (BOLs) seen hovering over the fields and of the effects of crop circle energies on electronic equipment and the biological systems of humans and animals. We're treated too to eyewitness accounts of crop circles forming, including the important recent case in Amsterdam when Nancy Talbott-a key scientific researcher and member of the BLT Research Team-along with Robbert van der Broeke, saw three powerful tubes of light descend into a bean field outside the van der Broeke home, only to discover a few minutes later that a structured crop circle had appeared in the field. It's stories like these that lead one to believe that crop circles are a key part of the worldwide UFO phenomenon.

One of the great strengths of Vital Signs is the year-by-year chronology it provides, as well as the beautiful photographic gallery that accompanies the text, including a central color section. It's a chronicle that not only describes the fascinating evolution of the crop formations over the years, but also the rabid atmosphere of controversy that has grown up around them: are they manmade, anomalous, or a mixture of both? How can you tell the real from the hoaxed and what's the percentage of each? Are the simple ones the true phenomenon, or are some of the more complex formations real as well? As Thomas juggles the assertions and denials on both sides of the fence-as well as the natural, supernatural, and ufological theories as to how they're made-what finally emerges is that, if any of them are not manmade (and much evidence supports the idea that many, perhaps most of them are not), then we have a genuine mystery that's growing in scope around the world. However, it's only ongoing, careful research that has the power to cut through the fog of disinformation. Vital Signs is a great introduction for those confronting the crop circles for the very first time, as well as a primary resource for long-time researchers still dazzled by the mysterious signs in the fields.

This is a graphically rich and comprehensive book full of beautiful photos and big ideas. Thomas stimulates our imagination and wonder about this mysterious phenomenon. However, like some other books in this genre, he fails to seriously address the issue of manmade crop formations. Nonewithstanding what some other reviewers on this page have said, manmade formations are a large, signficant, and important part of the crop circle scene. As many of these land art designs produce strange effects, like camera and battery failure, previously attributed only to "genuine" formations, books like Vital Signs need to address this aspect of the mystery, rather than simply dismissing manmade formations as "hoaxes." That being said, readers are bound to find this book a worthwhile and lasting investment.

This book is a "must read" for any crop circle enthusiast.

Greg McCann's book has transformed my professional life from an amateur to a professional. Without this book and all of its insight about social intelligence, I would not have progressed so much in all of the walks of my life. Not only has this book taught me how to fully take responsibility for my work, as an aspiring entrepreneur When Your Parents Sign the Paychecks has raised my standard for my goals and the way I plan to accomplish them.

One common misconception about this book might be "I don't have a family business; therefore this book may not be for me." Well after reading this book, I can tell you that that statement is false. I am not from a family business, although I have definitely recommended this text to those families in all stages of business and transition. This book will give you a new outlook on a way you can transform your business as well as your life. If you follow all the exercises and look into topics discussed in the book, such as the life plan and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, your professional life will improve greatly. The life plan that Dr. Greg McCann has you do in a latter chapter of the book is the best exercise I have ever done in my life.

As a young man still trying to figure things out, I have found this book to be a guideline for me. This guideline has really helped me bring my parents back into my life, not only by me being able to be myself but also in discussing my plan with them. The book also showed me ways and habits of communication within my close network of friends and family which has helped me in countless situations. The amount of self-assurance that I received after reading this was priceless and really put things into prospective for me.

Lastly I would like to comment on the way the book is written. Not only was it a compelling read, it challenged me to look back at myself and see the big picture. While I was reading it, I really felt like I had a life coach talking to me. The book's layout is well structured too; with key definitions and charts laid out to help you truly understand the material. I would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to get serious about their life - for parents and students of all ages.

I'm approaching my one-year anniversary working for a medium-sized, but growing, family business. The majority of my career - nearly 20 years, however, has been spent moving up the corporate ladder. Greg's book was an invaluable guide to exploiting the opportunities, and avoiding the pitfalls, of such a business. Thanks to reading it, I hit the ground running, with eyes wide open!

A must read for anyone considering working in their family business

As a professional with one of the world's top firms serving the next generation of families who own businesses and families of wealth,I found this book to be the best resource I have found to assist young people in their career quest. The author articulates the issues I hear about from my clients every day in his description of the "eight challenges". These challenges face anyone considering working with their family business. This structure provides a systematic, step-by-step process that has never before been available. The best part is that it goes beyond just talking about it in terms of a career decision and goes deeper helping individuals assess their passions and thinking in terms of what is best for them, their family and the business.

It is about self development and awareness for individuals and includes tools that can help a family get along better and have a more successful business. At its core it helps young people take ownership for their lives, a core issue at this life stage, especially when your family owns a business and/or has great wealth.

The book is written in a voice that makes it accessible for an audience of teenagers but in my opinion it is extremely useful for all ages including parents and advisors working with family owned businesses. It even comes with a Parents Guide to coach the senior generation how to best be a productive part of their child's use of this book.

In my experience I have never read a book that has given me so much insight into how to advise members of the next generation and I would recommend this book to anyone considering working with their family, parents who own a family business and advisors who work with families in business.

Fantastic and fun read!

Most family businesses don't survive the next generation of family members. "When Your Parents Sign The Paychecks: Finding Career Success Inside Or Outside The Family Business" by Greg McCann (Founder of the Family Business Center, Stetson University and the family business consulting firm of McCann & Associates ) offers a comprehensive and superbly organized guide to having a career within or without the family business. Professor McCann teaches the reader how to create and evaluate an education and career plan where decisions are made for the right reason instead of by default; develop 'marketability' for themselves instead of merely feeling entitled to a position through nepotism; build a career portfolio, obtain work experience outside their family business, and recruit objective mentors for themselves. Of special note is what Professor McCann has to say about preserving relationships while dealing with family expectations with respect to entering the family business; the importance of attitude and communication styles; and avoiding the downside of undeserved pay and benefits arising from participation in a family business. Using examples of three young people with family businesses, "When Your Parents Sign The Paychecks" deals with 'the amateur', 'the semipro', and 'the professional'. If you have a family business that you'd like to see your children take on, of if you are the child of a parent with a family business expecting you to take over, you need to give Professor McCann's "When Your Parents Sign The Paychecks" a close and careful reading. This is a unique and seminal work that should be a part of every college and community library's Jobs & Careers reference collection.

This is a wonderful book that our whole family enjoyed. The story is easy to follow and interesting. The illustration is simply magnificent--the details in all the facial expressions of the animals really added to the book.

Vivid colors and carefully rendered illustration make this booka perfect addition to any child's library. Although it is based on aJapanese fairy tale, the story has a broad appeal to children of all nationalities. Everyone knows that cats chase mice. But has anyone ever asked why? Your child will also enjoy the illustrations of the friendly and lively looking animals.

My little girl does! It's like the Japanese version of Tom and Jerry; the animals' antics crack her up. This copy is already getting dog-eared (no pun intended). I hope there will be more to this series. Maybe one that explains why dogs chase their tails.

We all wanted to know why cats chase mice. Didn't you?

It's not just another retelling of an old story. I can tell that the author asked the same question (Why cats chase mice?) to herself and her parents as she grew up, and obviously she liked and accepted the answer from the old tale. So did I. Reading this book, I sensed that the tale was well digested in herself over the years to the point she could tell it comfortably with her own wording and vivid imagination. She now tells and illustrates the story as if she does so to her own child. I love that. I recommend this book to all parents with small children, for it is not only a fun, colorful book but also offers the answer to one of "why?" questions that your children throw at you.

wonderful book for young babies

This is a recommended book, even though it's most likely the oldest books of its kind, because it uses real photographs and features one concept per page. For example, the page for 'fish' has a bright clear photo of a goldfish and only a goldfish. There is a small version of the sign (for parents) in the corner. My son's first sign was based on this picture. Individuals who are familiar with ASL may notice some regional differences in the signs shown from what they've learned. [...], but it's the clear, bright photos that make it for me in this book. Babies will find them attractive and fun to look at, which will create an opportunity for parents to show / teach the sign for the item shown.

My toddler loves this book!

I stumbled across this book when searching for books to help teach my toddler sign language. He loves it and brings it to me nearly every day wanting me to read it to him and talk about the colorful pictures. Toddlers will be drawn to this sturdy board book because of the brightly colored pictures of familiar objects such as socks, crackers, and shoes. Parents will find the simple line drawings of the different signs helpful in teaching their children some basic signs. This book is a good introduction to sign language for both hearing and deaf children.

this book has instructions and pictures for 14 asl signs. they are hat, teddy bear, spoon, apple, shoes, book, flower, ball, cup, baby, bowl, crackers, socks, and crayons. my only criticisms are
1. the pictures are outdated, they look like they are from 1983 but i guess babies don't care about that.
2. two words, teddy bear and crayons, are combinations of two signs which i think might be more complicated than a baby needs. i only do the first parts for my daughter.

all that said these are objects babies see all the time, they are relatively easy to learn and in a sturdy board book so i highly reccomend it.

a real baby eye-catcher

This book is wonderful!! My 10 month old loves to look at the pictures that are of real objects and not just cartoons. This is a wonderful way to interact with her through the use of signs. She is a hearing baby and we are beginning to use signs to communicate through her toddler years. She really enjoys seeing the signs that go along with the pictures. She has only used one or two of the signs so far... but it really is more than I ever thought it would be.
