This book is great! I borrowed it from a friend and I just bought the updated version at weight watchers for only $10!

This handy pocket-size restaurant guide to Kyiv (Kiev) is a must-have guide for visitors to this charming city. Foreigners should come prepared when walking into Ukrainian restaurants or stores since locals inflate their prices for foreigners depending on how rich they look. Enjoy your journey to Ukraine and let us know whether Dining Out in Kyiv kept its promises.

Since applying the lessons learned here to dinner and lunch parties I have become a very popular bachelor indeed. Who would have ever thought that cooking Proust recipes and reading his expurgated prose could sound so seductive to a woman's ear. I recommend this book to any bachelor with a stove, access to fois gras and the ability to read to a lay-audience. Canard au Vin Rouge page 68 - In, Entrecotes page 54 - Definately out! remember that comerades and fellow Bunburyites.

In another area of Amazon, there are at least 10 copies of this anthology selling for $.01.

I don't know why this is priced so high, but it looks like someone's trying to make a killing on some poor unsuspecting buyer!

If you're a history buff, a parent who wants to plan interesting weekend excursions, or a "travelholic", this is an excellent resource. In particular, motorcyclists will find that this book provides excellent answers to questions like "where would I like to ride today?".

The book has state historical markers, points of interest, places of historical content and "fun things to do". It's hard to imagine anyone actually travelling to all these places; this book must have been a true labor of love.

Two issues. One, I wish the index were more comprehensive. It's sometimes difficult to find a particular item. Two, I wish the maps were a bit more detailed. It would've been nice to have a state map showing all the regions at the front of the book. On the other hand, you should *always* have a real map on any trip you take.

This book is truly wonderful and I highly recommend it for history buffs and travellers in California.

I was really able to use this book on my recent trip to Charleston. I used it daily to select my fine dining experiences. She only writes about the finer establishments and boy are they fine. Unfortunately I had to leave, but I hope to re-create many of the great dishes with the recipes.

I've eaten at the Dove's Nest twice. Each time I tried something new, from the appetizer to the dessert. I bought the recipe book on the second visit. I've cooked several dinners from it, as have my mom and sister-in-law. We all have had rave reviews on the outcome. Some recipes are quick and delicious, others are more complicated and elegant. Overall, it was a great purchase.

GREAT. Wish there were more books like this out ther

This is a wonderful book-rich with history and classic recipes! I grew up eating at Joe's on our annual trips to the Miami area. The food and atmosphere were always memorable. I have especially enjoyed creating the salads, sides, and luscious desserts that enhanced the stone crab experience in my own kitchen. This book is a must have for both the recipes and the tales that have built the persona of Joe's Stone Crab.

In this witty and helpful guide, Glave provides her reader with all the information needed to eat and drink the BEST of Santa Fe. The reviews are succinct and flavorful, the information is plentiful (with icons to alert one to great takeout options, family-friendly locales, romantic spots, pricing), and the layout is clean and accessible. Eat Drink helped me find the right spot for the right occasion -- and I don't plan to return to Santa Fe without my copy close at hand!
