Gives you everything you want to know about places to eat in L.A. I'll probably pick up versions for other cities that I travel to.

Choc-full of great information, Zagat once again shows the best and the worst of so many different types of eateries in the greater LA. From The Abbey right through to Zucca Ristorante it goes alphabetically through some great sounding places. Many I've been to and the reviewers are accurate more times than not, so this is a book I think you can trust. It includes websites for the restaurants and it includes prices and even eateries in Palm Springs, Orange County and Santa Barbara etc. It's easy to follow and there is practically something in here for everyone. I mean EVERYONE. From all types of cuisines in all price brackets. It's a great guide that gives you a little insight into new places to try or just your old favourites. I highly recommend this great book.

So far I have used the restaurant guide. It is fabulous. I used it
to select 3 restaurants and they were all great. The descriptions in the guide, while usually a bit tongue-in-cheek, are pretty accurate.

In NY many restaurants flaunt their Zagat rating at their entrance. They obviously use the rating as a selling point.

Excellent, "must-have" pack of Zagat surveys. SOmething for everyone and the bundled price saves money and the trouble of searching various bookstores for each NYC survey book.

This is a bible to any New York resident and would be a helpful guide to any visitor. I have used Zagat's guides religously since moving to the area and I can not remember an instance when it was inaccurate - which is remarkable considering the subjectivity of opinions. Perfect for scouting out sites for dinner dates and trendy places to visit. I now use their other guides and online website to pick out restaurants during weekend getaways to other cities.

No doubt about it the Zagat Survery to New York City is a must have. Great info on restaurant prices, ambiance, service and location. But no matter how good it is some really nice finds still get left out. As a frequest visitor to the Mid Town area I'm surprised to see local favorites like Le Bonne Soupe (great French Onion) and Connelly's (world's best cheeseburgers) are never mentioned. With all the restaurants in New York, I suppose they can't cover everything, still Zagat has helped me find some real treasures and I'm attempting to help them add a few to their list as a return favor. Pick up a copy before your next trip, it's money well spent. Just bear this in mind--restaurant reviews are all subjective. A restaurant is only good if you like it!

These Zagat guides are just great, and this one is no exception. They are pithy, witty, and above all useful. I don't go out without consulting them.

This is an indispensible reference guide for dining in the Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis areas. It is easy to understand and navigate with reviews of most restaurants in terms of food, decor/ambiance, price etc. The reviews are right on for the restaurants I have tried. Also very handy are the crossreferences for many categories such as brunch, parking, late night dining etc. Probably the best feature is another index listing the "best" restaurants for various occasions as identified by readers.

Highly recommended, I get a new one every year.

I live in Chicagoland and I consider this an essential guide to area restaurants. Chicago is blessed with so many good places, I rely on Zagat to guide me to the best ones. Whenever I travel, I always get the Zagat guide for the destination city. I have used the guide from Paris to San Francisco, and never had a bad recommendation. If you eat out, you need this book. I have already pre ordered the 2007/2008 edition, due out in July. I am egarly awaiting the arrival of the San Diego guide which has been out of print for a while.

Wow, what a good update on the restaurants in Chicagoland. I use this Zagat reference as I don't live "in" Chicago but am close to it and eat there fairly often in what could be referred to as the higher-end places. This Zagat guide rates the eateries as I would do so in choosing where to eat.

Zagat got it right in Chicago based on how I dine there and dine in other cities.

We checked this book out from the library - my 4 1/2 year old and almost 3 year old LOVE it. And we as very picky parents (we like children's books that are real quality) love it too. It is a very heartwarming story of a little boy who puts his grandmother first and a caring group of animals who put a little boys first. It's about caring for others and has enough plot and excitement for our two boys too. They asked for it over and over. We're ordering a copy now!

There may be no other book like this classic, which now seems to be rare. (It's actually in a tightly-written and summarized 51-page brochure/pamphlet format, which is easy to read, even on work breaks!)

This is one reading investment that can translate into direct earning power in your pocket, tonight and every night -- even better than some typical seminar or business course!

The advantages taught in this book are not things that the average wait-person will have thought of: Use Your Voice, Left-handedness, Mellow At the Table, Calcium, Two Pairs of Socks, The Cheap Customer ....

Get the edge, and, if you're going to do this work ... get the CASH!

If you like to eat and don't mind spending a few coins for fabulous food, this map will guide you to nirvana over and over again! Great recommendations for every NY neighborhood.

This Guide is so incredibly handy. When travelling on business I always take the Guide along to guarantee a fine dining experience for me and my clients. It has never steered me wrong that is why I've also purchased it for clients who, like me, travel often or who enjoy fine dining, fine wines, etc. Excellent resource. Impressive gift. Nothing like Zagats -- this is fine dining. The only problem with it -- I understand there are MORE Dirona restaurants around the country but they are not listed in the directory. That's too bad.
