This is a wonderful book!!! It makes learning fun while including sensory play. Many useful ideas.

In this fourth episode of the Penny Pollard series, we see Penny at her best. The thing I like most about these books is the personality behind the character of Penny. Having read this book as a 12 year old, I immediately identified with Penny's independent, mischevious and adventurous side. Along with her intellectual sidekick Al and his mother, Penny sets off to conquer the United Kingdom, with some hilarious results. The characters she meets along the way are entertaining and give us further insight into the complexities of Penny Pollard. Iwould recommend this book for 11-15 year old girls and women young at heart-I still love it!

Almost 6 years after the 9/11/2001 attack on the Pentagon, a book has come out that tells the whole story and answers many lingering questions. This well written and richly illustrated book by the staff historians from the Historical Office, Office of the Secretary of Defense is a moving description of what happened at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Of particular interest are the number of pictures, many never before seen, that show the incredible damage the building sustained. In addition, there are photos that show pieces of the hijacked airplane lying between the inner corridors--evidence that it was in fact an airplane and not a missile that struck the building (as some conspiracy theorists have opined). The personal narratives are gripping and give the reader a true sense of the events of the day. The book has a number of diagrams that allow you to really follow the events of that tragic day. All in all, this is a fantastic book and well worth the purchase price.

Ages 3-6 will not want to miss Rebecca Emberly's Pinata!, a highly recommended bilingual Spanish/English survey of the items which traditionally stuff piñatas, and how piñatas are enjoyed at a party. Very simple drawings accompany a fine survey of the pinata in all its glory and appeal.

This brightly colored board book is perfect for preschoolers. It has a variety of activities, all of which have the child draw on the pages with chalk. The chalk and eraser are packed in hard plastic and set into a window in the cover. Each page spread has a large area to mark up, as part of scenes that show Pooh and his friends Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo sailing boats, flying kites, writing the alphabet, thinking of words and planting a garden.

This is one of the Creatables books in the Pooh Adorables series, which includes Hummables (sing-aloud board books for babies) and Thinkables (interactive play books for toddlers). The other two Creatables books are Pooh Draws and Pooh Builds. A similar board book is Pooh Colors.

This book. like all Chuck's books is awesome. You will learn something from this book if you are new to Spiritual Warfare or if you have been around for awhile. This book will renew and refurbish your prayer outlook. I loved it!!! I always have to buy 2, one to read and mark up and one to loan out.

Rebecca Stefoff has written a gorgeous hardcover book for children that sucked Devon right in with the first page. Well actually, Ms. Stefoff got his attention with her excellent cover shot. That mantis head with those bulging eyes just grabbed his attention as we passed it in the store. "Book to be mine," he said and never one to turn down a child's request for a book, I picked it up and I'm glad I did. Big print so it's very easy for Devon to point to the letters he knows (and he knows all of them). Informative in a very interesting way. Did you know there are over 1,800 different kinds of Preying Mantis? Did you know some of them even attack small birds and mice? Did you know that if you have a little boy, he'll absolutely go gaga over this book? Well, now you do. I whole heartedly recommend Rebecca Stefoff's "Praying Mantis", her photographs are astonishingly good and I should know, because Devon's mom is a photographer and has taken plenty of bug pictures herself, so when Devon revels in these wonderful photos, he knows he is seeing quality.
